The injuries that I sustained have and will require numerous medical and dental procedures. I had medical bills piling up and the other guy's insurance refused to cover any cost because apparently the guy was not covered for this type of accident. Not knowing what my options were, I looked for lawyers who had experience with bike accidents and I fortunately found Ellis Helm. Brian Ellis and his team helped me file a claim, represent me, and negotiate with the insurance company on my behalf. After several low-ball settlement offers, arbitration proceedings, and nearly two years of back and forth negotiations, Brian Ellis and his team ultimately succeeded in achieving a settlement that covers all medical bills to date as well as future anticipated medical bills that may be needed. Throughout the process, the team streamlined documentation and review requests, kept me up to date, and clearly explained next steps. I appreciate Brian Ellis and his team for their diligence and fighting for the best outcome for me. I highly recommend anyone else in a similar situation to reach out to them for a consult.

With their help we formed Puvunga Wetlands Protectors and sued the CA Coastal Commission for approving new oil drilling operations that would drill under the wetlands to expand output to 25,000 barrels (a 5000% increase) and release 70,000 tons of methane annually. While we did not win the lawsuit, it contributed to the project plans being drastically scaled back, and, 71/2 years later, new wells have yet to be drilled. In 2021, Coast Law Group and the non-profit Coastal Environmental Rights Foundation were first to bring attention to the pollution of Alamitos Bay in Long Beach caused by the annual Big Bang on the Bay Fireworks Shows, suing the promoters for violating the Clean Water Act. Their efforts led to a 2023 decision by the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board to declare fireworks to be a pollutant that must be strictly regulated under the Clean Water Act. Puvunga Wetlands Protectors and Sierra Club's Los Cerritos Wetlands Task Force joined the effort to end this show due to its disastrous impacts on a coastal bird rookery in the Alamitos Bay Marina. This year, the Coastal Commission refused to overturn their 2025 decision, banning fireworks as part of this event, in spite of tremendous pressure to do so. Although not all victories are won in a courtroom, the law can be a powerful tool for justice. We are especially grateful for the expertise of Attorney Liva Borak Beaudin, who has provided both legal counsel and practical advice. We all suffered pretty serious injuries, including the Uber driver.   My mother was aware of Randy and Walton because of his reputation in the North County community, we reached out on her recommendation and he met with us right away. We feel very lucky and grateful that we reached out when we did. The insurance issues turned out to be complicated, because there were multiple policies, including a policy that Uber offers. It took a while, but eventually Uber offered to pay its entire insurance policy, but then that had to be divided among all the injured parties, including the Uber driver. Randy and Kristen fought for us, and ultimately got me a generous settlement.   I can't say enough good things about Walton Law Firm. They treated us like we were family and were really helpful when times were toughest during our case. I am grateful for all they have done, and happy to give them 5 stars.

Before I share my horrific experience, I want to warn all those that are in a custody cases and/or…read morechild support your case may be overlooked getting a reasonable outcome with this attorney. William Fuhrman has shown me once again zero faith in legal services here in San Diego. He has now cost me the safety of my child, time and money for refiling, and unfair moneys that are due because of the lack of representation in my custody hearing. He has exhibited negligence and carelessness in my case which is a little more complex. He is rude, intolerable, blatantly ignores communications that would make him work for answers, and lacks seriousness in court. Getting on to my experience, I hired William to handle my custody case and child support. Firstly, I made it clear before the contract I would only use $4000 max for services. Of course, after I fired him he decides to overcharge me. I made myself very clear that I wanted to get full physical and legal custody of my daughter. William actually told me I am not going to get that granted. I told him I want to try anyway for the safety of my daughter. I gave him the long explanation of the dangerous living environment for my daughter due to a heavy drug user at my ex's home. It was imperative I get my daughter out of there. After I had a mediation with family court services they even recommended to the judge I should have full custody of my daughter and limited visitation to my ex. I expressed my deep concern and request for full custody with family court services. With them recommending to the judge it shouldn't be that hard from this point. Well, William for some reason filed with the court a lesser time than 50% and an outrageous visitation schedule. William didn't listen nor keep up with my case with new events happening as I needed to correspond with him on such events. Even on the day of the hearing he LEFT the computer while the names were being called which in turn was not present when the judge called us into the hearing. When I called him to let him know this he told me he had to just step away for a while. I enforced my position in going with the family court services recommendation to have full custody. He then went back to the hearing wait room and didn't even bother to speak up to the judge to get our case heard. We were told we will have to come back the next day. William is now charging me for that day we missed. So, you will get charged for his mistakes. Next day, he started the hearing telling the judge the family court services recommendations were too harsh and would contest the recommendation. I had no idea what he was saying that morning with his legal terminology and considering I knew I had already told him my request for custody. I later read deeply into the subject of the hearing and my stomach dropped. The judge was giving my ex more than 50% of custody and making me do the drop off and pick ups at a Vons which was close to my ex. William neglected many of my requests to the judge that day. Returning my daughters passport, paying back all the monitor visits my ex was to pay, requesting time back with my daughter since my ex was using the court as an advantage claiming multiple TRO that were granted. All restraining attempts were denied by the judge. Requesting at least an emergency holiday vacation for my daughter to see her family for the first time over the holidays. Nope, he also made a BS schedule for holidays. All of this and he couldn't even take the time to explain to me what the orders were after the judge made them. He was too bitter because I told him that was a poor job he did, then asked him to file an appeal or somehow fix what he did. I expressed I would not be continuing with him if he didn't fix this. This ultimately ending our last conversation on the phone with William saying "go fuck yourself". Then hung up. To speak more of his unprofessionalism, William sent me emails containing another clients case information with a settlement negotiation. It makes me wonder if my case information has been shared with another party. Ask yourself if you would want your case information being shared to a random person...(maybe a hacker.) That puts us all at risk. More disregard or irresponsibility to my case he would call me to ask information that was already provided to him in previous emails.
