Getting invasive dental Work is probably not at the top of anyone's "Fun" list but if you have to go through any type of procedure where they are messing with your face- Dr. Waring and his staff are the best option! Seriously- they always have a smile on their faces, they remember your previous visits, everyone acts professionally while still being extremely caring and sympathetic to said "fun" dental situations. I found myself with a messy root canal crown issue from a dentist I went to ages ago. It unfortunately resulted in me requiring a bone graft dental implant in my front tooth. Terrific! Ugggggg . Not any people look awesome without a front tooth, lm certainly not one;) I was recommend to Dr. Waring by my current (very good) dentist who swears by Dr. Waring's work. Both facilities communicated efficiently during this entire process... If you're new to implants, get ready to see your dentist a lot- you're gearing up for a year or so with some of these processes. There was never a time I went to either facility where the other doctor wasn't fully looped in on my progress. That's rare in itself! Thank you again for making a really uncomfortable (and painful!) situation as easy as it could Have possibly been. Dr Waring is very knowledgeable and very caring. he wants you to feel comfortable and makes sure you are not having any pain. he answers all of your questions and you do not feel rushed while you are there. he's very patient and his entire staff are very helpful and caring as well. recently I had All on Four surgery, and it is going to take a little more time because I had to have bone grafts. I was referred to Dr Waring by a local dentist. On the walls of the office were awards and commendations for being an outstanding dentist. It was accurate. Dr Waring extracted my tooth, placed the implant painlessly, but also offered detailed explanations. His staff was also pleasant, professional, and competent. This office has its act together. Dr. Waring is the most brilliant and caring dentist I have come across. I had an extremely complicated case requiring multiple implants that took a protracted period of time. Dr. Waring went out of his way to address all my concerns and took care of every aspect of my treatment to ensure that I have the best smile. He and his team are so wonderful, friendly and loving that I switched to his practice to get my regular cleaning done through his expert dental hygienists who know how to clean around dental implants and bridges without compromising other teeth. He is definitely the best dentist in Arizona to get implants placed and he refers you to the best dentists for crown placements. Went in for my initial exam for pain in implants. Paid for exam and three x-rays. He said implants had bone loss, but he could save them all. Front desk gave me a cost which was to include the procedure and all follow-up care. During the procedure, the dentist starting complaining to his assistant (and me) that the procedure was taking more time than he expected. A third to half way through, he told me he was still working on the first implant (out of 7 total) and said he still had to do all the others as well as the bone grafting. He was actively having his office people cancel and reschedule appointments. I felt like he was so rushed that he was doing a terrible job. Turns out, the only follow-up included was a brief appointment weeks after the procedure, during which he said he had done a great job. Following that, 3 months after the procedure, I went in for a cleaning. They found a problem, a gap around one of the implants. Had to book an appointment for the dentist to examine this gap, "sooner rather than later." They are so overbooked that the soonest appointment available was at the end of January, over a month away. Then I got covid and had to reschedule, and that was another month out. This was for a supposedly urgent matter. This problem that was discovered three months after the procedure wasn't included in follow-up care. They wanted me to come in, pay for another evaluation and get another treatment plan. I spent thousands on this procedure. I also floss the implants multiple times a day, but everything feels worse than it did before the procedure. I still have the pain that I had before, but now it hurts more. I tried to talk to the office people, who spoke to the dentist, but they were not helpful and told me there was nothing they could do except have me come in and pay all over again. In summary, this dentist is overbooked, does rushed work, and doesn't follow through. I would absolutely recommend people to go somewhere else, read more

I went to this specialist to talk about and have my gum recession evaluated. The consultation was quick and painless with just some routine mouth photography being the highlight. I had the gum grafting procedure done and it was very smooth. Overall, recovery is uncomfortable, but it wasn't as painful as I anticipated. The staff was friendly, professional and thorough. Hi. When my regular dentist removed a damage bridge (3 molars), and told me that my only option was implants, I wanted to cry (I am so afraid of dentist and most of all, dental surgeons). I waited and waited and waited till it was no longer possible. She recommended me Dr, Mark Waring, after long agonizing time, I finally made the appt. OMG what a pleasant experience...if I only knew from the beginning. Dr Waring is amazing. from day one he and his staff made me feel very comfortable. For the first procedure, (the actual surgery), I was offered the conscious sedation ( which I did), it was the most pleasant experience in my life, I actually fell sleep during the whole procedure. I've been to Dr. Waring for two gum surgeries, a molar extraction, two implants and I get my teeth cleaned at his office, too. Also my daughter had an implant here. Everyone in this office is very professional and explains very thoroughly what is being done, why, and what I need to do to keep up my dental care. Dr. Waring is very knowledgable and positive. His communication skills are outstanding. I especially like the fact that when he is working he is describing where he is in the procedure and what comes next. This is such a great office. I am not fond of dental surgery (who is???) but this place is tops, as good as it gets. I had my bone grafting one year ago. The experience of removing my stitches was painful. I told Dr. Waring it was very uncomfortable and painful, but he ignored my pain, and insisted to remove the stitches. It turned out that they left a small string inside of my gums... It hurt my gums for a week until I realized it and removed it myself... read more

Having had Implants and Bone Grafts done by others twice I would say there is no comparison to his skill and others, the results were excellent by comparison. I did have some sticker shock but his prices are in the middle of the range and results are better. read more

You know what makes all the difference in the world during dental surgery? Well, of course it helps if the doctor is extremely experienced and competent. Dr Waring is that for sure, but I don't imagine those are terribly rare qualities in a peridontist. There's something else that sets these guys apart: bedside manner. Little things like: they give you music to listen to while you're on the table. His team keeps you distracted with conversation. Everything they says is in a very relaxed/reassuring tone of voice and he chooses his words well. More than this, I can't emphasize enough how important it is for the dental assistant to be really on the ball. She plays a huge role in getting you done quickly and making sure you feel safe every moment of your procedure. Dr Waring's dental assistants are by far the best dental surgical assistants I've run into. I hate dental surgery with a passion. It has been surprisingly bearable, the (three?) times now I've had Dr. Waring work on me. read more

The true way to tell if a doctor (or periodontist) is great is the way they handle mistakes. I went in to have my stitches removed after a gum graft and, while the first seven were removed quickly and painlessly, the last two were very hung up. From the very beginning the dental assistant was telling me "this is going to be uncomfortable" instead of reassuring me that she knew what she was doing and it was no big deal. When she started to pull down on my lower lip, the graft tissue became incredibly tender and she made it worse by trying to pull on the stitches so that she could make more cuts to remove them. I began to cry and get excessively nervous, so she brought in Dr. Waring. He was in the room for a total of about 30 seconds, said nothing to me, watched me cry, and walked out when my dad finally came in to calm me down (after I asked the assistant to get him about four times). The initial assistant left with Waring and sent in another assistant that immediately told me that I needed to control myself or she was not going to talk to me. After a few attempts to remove the remaining stitches, one still felt very hung up. Of course I was still panicked and crying because of the tender, still healing, new tissues that were being pulled and poked at when I asked her how long the last stitch was. She immediately responded with "I'm not going to talk to you when you talk to me like I'm your mom or your dad" then offered me a topical numbing solution. While the solution did help, the last stitch was very painful coming out. After it was done, the assistant realized that she had been pulling at the loose end, and the knot had gone straight through my fresh tissue. Although she apologized, I was shaken and my dad was appalled at the lack of compassion and rudeness of the staff. read more

Seldom you find a Healthcare Business that is both professional and compassionate, along with being extremely competent. But this dentist and his office are phenomenal. Raised as a foster child I had no dental care, so as an adult I've had plenty. But this office was a world apart from anything I've experienced. Once in a while you find a dentist that's skilled, but even his assistant and office manager are delightful to work with. From my TMJ issue, wherein his assistant gently held my jaw at times so I wouldn't be in pain while my broken crown was extracted, to my slight bleeding problem-which they gave me a coagulant so I wouldn't get sick from swallowing lots of blood, they are so thoughtful and kind, The extraction and procedure where as painless as they could make it. Honestly they thought of things I never would have an anticipated, and met my needs. I just can't recommend this dentist highly enough. If you have to go through something like this, I highly recommend this dentist, choose his office: they remove any possible trauma and make it a minor inconvenience! read more
