I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Acosta Law Firm. They offered me a debt…read moreconsolidation solution and collected payments from me with the understanding that they would negotiate with my creditors and debt collectors. Despite making my payments, I did not see any meaningful progress. The collectors repeatedly told me that no one from the firm had contacted them to negotiate or establish a payment agreement. I was then served twice with another debt collection lawsuits while I believed the firm was handling these matters on my behalf. What made the situation even more frustrating was that, after I was served, the firm tried to charge me additional money to assist with the new lawsuits even though I had already been paying them to help resolve my debts and negotiate with the collectors. Based on my experience, there was a serious lack of communication, follow-through, and transparency. I trusted this firm to help resolve my debts, but I was left dealing with collectors and legal action myself while being asked to pay even more. I would not recommend Acosta Law Firm to anyone considering its debt consolidation or debt-negotiation services.

I turned in the documents needed for the case on November 2021, I called multiple times to ask about the next steps and I didn't get an answer until I filed a complaint. My company said he wasn't listed as family law and shocked that he took my case. He convinced me to keep him instead of hiring someone else. Moving forward, we got the court date set and the judge approved the adoption. I was told that his office will get me several copies of the certified documents, but after a month of waiting, nothing happened. I called and his paralegal Ashley every week to ask for the status, but couldn't get me an answer. I went to the courthouse myself and they said the judge hasn't signed the final document and that only Ashley or someone from Mr. Kemp's office can request it. I called to let Mr. Kemp know, but he said Ashley quit and I quote, he said "I don't know the ins and outs of how to go from here." I asked him to go to the courthouse and request to unseal the case because he's the only one authorized to do so and he told me , "you'll have to hire another lawyer. Good luck." I paid another lawyer to pick up where his office left off and found out that Kemp Law Firm had other documents that he didn't even submit. He hires paralegals to do the work because he doesn't know how to do it. However for some reason, his paralegals keeps quitting on him. He went through 3 paralegals from the time I hired him from my case up to the time he told me good luck. I was going to hire him for 2 other cases, but better to go somewhere else.

Originally called for Mr. Sullivan and Nancy Botts answered told me he wasn't available and she…read moredecided to take my case I actually thought she was his secretary and I'm sorry I hired her and wish I would have spoken with Mr. Sullivan instead. I had a case of Assault - Bodily Injury (never been in trouble a day in my life) and Nancy Botts who handled my case did absolutely NOTHING in court for the amount of money I paid her. I paid a cash bond to get a court date which was the arraignment and when the date came, I seen a BIG red flag about Nancy who lied and withheld information from me. I should have walked away then but me always trying to see good in people I decided to go forth. Second court date came court began at 9:30, Nancy called me while still in the uber at 9:32 stating I am just going to sign paperwork and do an online course, and my case will be dismissed. Not realizing until I started reading the agreement it was a pretrial intervention not what I wanted or was looking forward too and Nancy never explained that it was a PTI, just baited me to sign paperwork for easy money. I feel like I was scammed. I arrived at court 15 minutes late because of uber. Nancy tells lies for a living, so she lied to her client and didn't inform me of nothing that happened while I wasn't there in court. Nancy never showed me any video evidence , she never spoke to me about my options, never fought for me as her client and just settled for easy money and made a poor decision on my behalf while I was not yet in court. She began to become very rude with and spoke to me very harsh. Had I would have known she was a court appointed attorney I would have never hired her. Please stay away from hiring Nancy, she will not go the extra mile for a dismissal and I regret I hired her and would have paid Mr. Sullivan whatever he asked for a dismissal which is the reason I called him in the first place because of the awesome reviews. Sorry this wasn't a review for Mr. Sullivan and my success story I would have had with him. :-(

After giving my availability (lied to again) a date was set out of my availability. After spending my last on Henry I could no longer afford to fly out. My first tangle ever with the popo resulted in a "speeding" ticket, a ticket for an expired…read moreinspection sticker, and eventually a warrant for a failure to appear in court. I went from never having a ticket to 3 hits within the span of a couple weeks, and all 3 cases were unwarranted. Thanks to David Sprecher, my record remains unscathed and the process was smooth as the filling in a jelly donut... *sniff sniff* does anyone else smell bacon? MY CASES: 1) Speeding - The speed limit on Bellaire blvd had just been changed to 25 mph. Before any speed limit signs were visible I got caught in a very disruptive and surprising speed trap... going 35 mph. They also got me for not signalling, which is a 100% lie. 2) Expired Inspection Sticker + Failure to Appear - I was scouring the city for a missing light cover so I could get my car inspected. A cop on Bellaire stopped me in the middle of this. His sloppy handwriting made it appear as if my court date was 4/18/2014, when in fact he wrote 4/8/2014, resulting in my failure to appear. I discovered David Sprecher by referral. Sprecher's associates were quick to respond to my e-mail request for representation. He advised me to pay my bond with 3 Amigos Bonding - $40 per case is the rate if you are using Sprecher. Afterwards, I paid David a total of $250 via Paypal. Boom. Hired. I was scheduled to appear in court less than a month after that. Conveniently, David was able to get both of my cases heard on the same day. With "evidence" in hand, I strutted into the courthouse, not sure what to expect having never been there before. Sprecher identified me immediately without ever having met me. He escorted me back and forth between two courtrooms, making sure that I got on the role calls. My first case was dismissed within 2 hours of my arrival. The second case was a little rougher, with the policeman showing up, getting visibly pissed off, raising his voice about the matter. At 2 PM, Sprecher warned me that getting the case dismissed would be tough because of my age (under 25). I wasn't totally sure as to why, but he quickly ran off to continue fighting my case. As 2:30 PM approached, I was called to the bench to learn that case #2 had been dismissed. David Sprecher did all the work. All I had to do was sit back with my book and enjoy my own company (oh... and the company of about 100 sketchy characters). Sans paying a bond, a single case will run you around $100 - $150. That's a small price to pay for a clean record. I would 100% hire him to represent me again, although I hope I never have to.
