We don't attend school here, but we like the smaller venue and coach interaction with the basketball court provides. If coking to the gymnasium, come to the Sample Road side for entrance and parking.

It was a Saturday morning with a chance of showers in the forecast so the first thing I noticed was the distance from the parking to the entrance with absolutely no cover along the way. On entry, I was impressed by the open feeling. It had the typical locker lined lobby and corridors but the lockers (I saw) were all in open spaces so there was no feeling of crowding. I had to imagine a gazillion kids. As I expect all schools are now (not where I attended) all seating was fixed. The auditorium was large but probably not large enough to seat the full student body with each seat having a folding desktop. I'm a small person and it did feel a bit crowded... I'm not sure it would be comfortable for a big kid. The desks in the classrooms seemed to be standard school issue with the metal frame and no chance of adjustment. I felt very confined and again, I would think is might be tight for anyone much larger than my petite frame. The building felt clean and comfortable. I did not use the restroom but did note it was located close the the classrooms we were using. For a public school this seemed ok... and if I had a school-age kid, I could see them here... assuming they have a good program.

I came here in high school and I was looking for a SAT workshop. I was trying to find ways to get a…read morehigher score. I do admit this place is kinda pricey but this was the closest to my house (I didn't have a car yet at the moment). I forgot the lady's name but she was a wonderful tutor. She helped strengthening my weakness and made sure I get some ideas out. Sometimes you get those days that you can't get ideas for essays so this was helpful. She walked me thru the shortcut ways in math and how to the reading passages faster with correct answers. There was one session that you can do SAT test practice. You do the test like a regular test day and they grade it later and work with you the wrong answers the next day you go there. I would recommend this place if you're finding a closer place and want some help out. I did get a discount price but it was still a bit pricey. Ask for discount!

If I could give "0" stars I would. We used Judi and Score at the Top for College Advising only…read more Was absolutely NOT worth the $8K they charge. I used a different college adviser for my older child a few years ago for half the price and more help, and we didn't have to put up with Judi's condescending tone. Her responses providing feedback to our resume or applications were often almost belittling. There were things she should have known in her role as an "expert" and I was surprised she didn't. Things that we expected her to do was pushed back on us. Most of her advising comes in the form of emails with documents for you to read on how to fill out the applications, or general college and career advice. Why did I hire her if I could just read the same stuff online for free? Here is what we had with our previous adviser who moved out of the area or we would have used her again: **Shared portal where we selected the colleges we were applying to and the various sites we needed to access for financial aid, SAT scores, etc, and it stored passwords. We and the adviser had access for easy review. Judi/ Score at the top had NOTHING like this. It was all done back and forth with emails. **Hands on approach for deadlines. Judi sends blanket emails to everyone. **If we had questions our old adviser would research for us. Judi or team directed us to call the college or go find answers ourselves. These weren't things specific to my child. You'd think she'd want to know because it could be helpful if other parents have the same questions. **Advise on scholarships my child would be eligible for. Judi did nothing, maybe sent us a link which meant digging through hundreds of random scholarships, most didn't apply to my child. So we paid $8K for someone to basically review our child's college applications before we submitted them and for someone on her team help edit and review our child's essays. You decide if that's worth $8,000 before you sign up with them.

Great school, my niece attends, love coming here to surprise her and pick her up early. She enjoys…read moreher class and her teacher very much. The only reason I can't give a full 5 stars is due to a bullying situation my niece has been going through for over 2 months now. My family pays good money for her to attend and the fact that it's taken so long to bring attention to the situation is beyond me. A little girl in her class goes out of her way to bully her and she comes home crying regularly yet it took 2 months to get the teacher to even consider speaking with the bully. I would expect a lot more especially from a private catholic school.

me thinks no. is bad…read more very bad. no go. There needs to be a negative star option. Please, if you are a parent reading this, do not send your child to this hell hole. The staff and faculty members act like the children in this case. They blatantly and loudly talk about other children in front of kids and are more involved in rumors than some kids. The teachers pick favorites and the kids they dislike they purposely get in trouble. I can name countless times children have gotten detentions for uncalled for reasons. If a teacher doesn't like you, or your child they will make your kids life hell. Wether it's picking on them in class or making sure to put them in the back, they will do it. They aren't done harassing you until they see fit. They preach a catholic way of life, yet everyone in that school seems to act the complete opposite. When you go and have mass with the kids in the morning hardly anyone sings, you can just tell it's a toxic environment for everyone involved. The teachers and students are some of the most discriminative group of people I've ever encountered, wether its race, sexuality or income level. If you aren't white, rich or straight you are automatically the bad guy. The way they run things at the school is ridiculous and frankly unsafe for the kids. When there's a substitute, they won't show up for up to ten minutes leaving kids outside the classroom unattended. At one point, teachers went through kids phones, and one teacher put a kids phone number on the board, and called his number on her phone. Many teachers are wildly unprofessional, eating, drinking, on their phones and in some cases, they would watch Netflix or get on a phone call while kids are working. During a code red (threat) they lead all the kids into a back room that is also the bathroom. There's a literal cage back there that they lead all the kids into and make them stand in there like sardines. See, now this leaves no way out in case there was a true threat that were to enter the building. Now they put a lock on the door too. Then, if your kid actually does have some trauma and they go to the counselor, Janet Hearn, it's almost made worse. I've never met a worse counselor in my life. As a kid I used to go to the counselor a lot, until the school got her as their new counselor. Talking to her seems almost impossible, as she only tries to cover up the issue with fake smiles and a pat on the back. You can never come to her about something personal, as she'll disregard it and send you back to class. On another note, the desks and chairs in the rooms are probably older than any of the kids that go to the school. They're covered in markings and carvings, and gum.The chairs are squeaky and rusted. The bathrooms are an extension onto the classroom. There's one stall with a big space where someone can look under the door. Sometimes the lock won't work and the door gets opened while you're going to the bathroom. You also can't use the bathroom if anyone else is using it- you can't wait. they make you go back to class. Not to mention it's also used as a back room where they send kids to make up tests, do a class, or somewhere they send bad kids. There are new teachers every other year because even the teachers realize this school is going downhill. Even after all of this, if you do decide to take a tour, don't worry, they will almost always give you a fake smile and a nod and tell you how happy everyone is at this school. Yet everyone I know is miserable every time they step foot on the premises. Going back there now that I'm older almost gives me a wave of dread as I walk in. It's a place full of hate. Don't send your kids to this school. Don't choose this place as a job. It will not end well.
