Empty fridge in an all inclusive 5 star resort
H G.

Another "amazing" review well deserved! After all the problems we had with the hotel, on the 3rd day the house keeper came in to bring towels as I asked her NOT to clean the room . Under my nose she stole my diamond wedding band that was part of a set. I immediately noticed it and ran to find her but she was already gone. I called the Carlos the manager and fined a complaint. They sent a crew to look at our room and our belongings , they even took apart the drain but couldn't find it. They said they investigated the maid and couldn't find anything. Oh well did you think a thief will admit that he was stealing??? I filed a report with the police but the hotel refused to take any responsibility. What a joke! This could have been a nice resort with great food but instead they are scammers with zero customer service.

All inclusive am I right??? I came here for my birthday last year and this hotel is my favorite! I love luxury experiences and I can't wait to go back and visit I stayed in the penthouse and I was presented with cake and champagne. The food and presentation for the all inclusive was 10/10 experience. Here is my experience: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT861Bp3e/

I've been to Mexico multiple times, but this was my first time staying in Nuevo Vallarta. It's about a 20minute drive from the airport, and the road coming into the resort strip is BUMPY! The speed bumps are frequent and so big. My daughters head was bobbing around in her car seat. This resort is small, and I believe meant to feel exclusively "distinct." The lobby was pleasant, but no wow factor, and the staff were pretty friendly as we checked in. As this is the VIP resort, you can take a shuttle over to their sister hotel Marival Emotions which is two hotels away to eat there and use their pool/beach . They do have a buffet over there and a larger kids pool area with slides etc, but the food is not as good and the beach is SO crowded. The rooms were amazing as they're so huge! We stayed in a two bed room suite and it was 1700sqft with a huge balcony with patio furniture. Even the one bedroom is so spacious. Plenty of room in the master bedroom to set up my little ones pack n play with slumber pod, and there was still ample room for us to move around. The second bedroom had two double beds, and both bathrooms were large, although only one had a bath tub. The living space is so open and large with a kitchen, island, dining table, and tv/couch (also a sofa bed) area. Our little one loved all the space and running around. We had two issues with the room though - the plumbing and the housekeeping. If you wanted to wash your hands or take a shower, it took at least five minutes for the water to get warm, and then it would turn scalding hot all of a sudden, and then as you try to slowly adjust it to cool, nothing happens for a while as you slowly push it to cold, then the water is too cold. I think every shower/bath we spent 10minutes tinkering with the faucets. Housekeeping is definitely NOT up to par. Our little one is a baby and runs around eating snacks, so there are crumbs. There are rugs in the room, and the crumbs were there all week, and the floors were filthy! I always bring slippers for hotel rooms cause of this, but my little one can't so she wore socks (until she took them off) and her socks and feet were black from walking on the floor. It was as though they've never mopped the floor. Also housekeeping was very inconsistent, they would take away towels hanging and not replace them or the little toiletries. We had to call and ask for them several times, which was annoying when you're waiting to shower/bathe after a day at the beach and pool. The pool area is lovely though, they had a small area for kids wading and spray fountains. Our little one loved running though, and the pool was nice and warm as it does get cool and windy in the evening. The pool side restaurant had delicious scallop ceviche, fish tacos and bacon cheeseburgers. The beach area is apparently newly purchased as previously the resort was not beachfront. The beach is quiet and clean (it's combed through in the morning to remove pokey items), and the beachfront restaurant Mozza Mare was delicious. One day they even had Al pastor meat on a donair-type spit with cheese quesadillas - yum! They have a "fancy" restaurant Omaggio which serves a different type of cuisine each night, and everything we tried was good, no complaints! There's also a lobby bar which we actually didn't visit. However the best restaurant there was Insu. It's their roof top bar/restaurant serving tapa style food. As soon as you get out of the elevator you're stunned by an incredible view of the ocean, and sunset. We ate here multiple times just for the view, and the food was great too! My favourite item had to be the scallops that were so fresh and sweet, with plantains, with a sweet and spicy sauce. Pro tip, the drinks here were also the strongest. It opens at 5 for drinks, but it the kitchen doesn't open until 630. Overall we had a great stay, and our little one was a champ sleeping/napping well in a new environment and loved her first trip, and first visit to the beach. I never enjoy resort food, and this was the first time I was surprised by how tasty everything was, zero complaints. There are definitely things they need to work on with plumbing and housekeeping, but they did not ruin our stay.

Good things: -Service is friendly and excellent. Workers generally bend over backwards to serve. They work very hard so if you go here, please tip well. -Always able to find lounge chairs with shade. -Rooms are spacious and look nice. -Outlets, sinks, toilets etc. worked fine -A pillow menu to get just the right pillow. -Breakfast bar is really good. -There's a safe in the room for valuables. -The beach is pretty good. If you are hoping for crystal water and white sugar fine sand like Cancun, you will be disappointed. Sand is decent, water is dark green/ brown and cloudy- not good for snorkeling. Waves are ok for body surfing/ boogie boarding. -Lots of shaded lounge chairs on the beach and the employees are very helpful in moving umbrellas for shade, and generally very attentive at bringing drinks and food. -There is a shack to check out boogie boards, etc. -Bottled water dispensers on every floor. What I'm not a fan of (others may not mind these things): -It feels like being on a cruise ship, as there is nothing close or easy to get to outside of the resort, and I got tired of the same restaurants day in and day out. It's about 35min to downtown PV where activities and "excursions" are (about $20 cab ride, one way) -There are four restaurants on site, only one is indoor, so if it's too hot or rains ( it's one of those a lot of the time in summer) it's hard to get in for dinner without a wait. -Food: they do an excellent job with presentation, the food LOOKS great, but serving sizes are small, are pretty bland tasting, and quality was hit or miss. I had some really good, most was meh. -The in-lobby store is ok and has the basics: tums, pepto, sun lotion, etc. but selection of beach toys, balls, etc was very weak. Poor selection of cigars with inflated prices. -There is a 10 min. walk to the beach, on a hot day it kinda sucks (you can take a shuttle though if willing to wait 10 ) -Tennis courts at both "Distinct" and at the neighboring "Emotions" have lots of cracks but are playable. -The place is totally dead after 8:30pm. Fine if you want quiet, but boring if you want to be around people. Probably not the right spot for groups of young partiers. The business model- Your feelings may differ: I have stayed at a few places like this that were mainly timeshares. The entire business model gives me the creeps. Everything is designed to LOOK like luxury. New visitors are pressured to agree to a timeshare sales presentation, using tactics like making you sit in a bar during check in, to get you to agree to a timeshare presentation before you can get a room key. I would not and never will agree to one of those presentations that try to pressure you into what's likely a very poor financial decision. See other reviews here for perspective on that experience. To be fair, Marival hides this aspect better than other places, you don't actually see the salesmen pitching people in front of you like at some places. I'm sure some people don't mind all that. Overall: Was it great? No. Was it bad? No.

Stayed here for Christmas, ruined our whole experience! We still stayed are 4 days but locked up all are valuables! One day of being there was fine woke up the next day went on a excursion came back snd my brand new, White, VERSACE, bag, was gone! Stolen I felt violated, how do you just steal from my room! I told the staff right away, they came in with police and checked the whole room as if I was hiding my own purse! Treated us like we stole my own bag! Until this day they want a picture of me on the resort with my bag! How if it was stolen!!!!!!! Funny thing is the maids, to the bartenders all talk day 3 I was approached on the beach by a bartender and he asked if they did anything for my missing purse! Weird but they can care less! I know it's Mexico, carry all your valuables but you would think they would control there theft problem!!

Very good value for the price. We got the penthouse suite that is 2700 sq feet and a private swimming pool. All you can eat and drink was optional and worth it imho. Great service and friendly staff

We stayed in a wonderful 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with laundry. It was very spacious and clean. We did have some issues with the hot water and faucets leaking but maintenance came to fix it and the hot water was no longer a problem. The grounds are beautiful. There is a main pool and then another pool right on the beach. The spa is large and surrounded by bamboo and palm trees. The cabanas are included. There are four good choices for food.

This resort has so much potential unfortunately our experience was not the best. I usually do not write reviews but this one had to be shared due to the amount of money we spent getting what we thought would be the best penthouse experience in Nuevo Vallarta. Arrival - we were asked to sit in the bar for check-in. We were pretty tired from traveling so we didn't mind sitting. However, shortly after we were told that Eva would be going over our check-in. Eva proceeded to ask us about attending a presentation which we told her several times that we were not interested. She would not take no for an answer. We told her we were tired and hungry and just wanted to get to the room. She continued to hound us about attending. The only way we were able to get the keys from her was to agree to think about it and come see her in the morning. She was questioning us about attending another resort's presentation and even demanded to see our receipt for our excursion to prove to her that we bought it ourselves! This left us feeling very uncomfortable and even to the point that we "snuck" out the side of the resort the next morning to avoid seeing her. Room - upon first look it was nice. However, the toilet stopped working after the first flush and my husband had to fix it. There was a gecko/lizard in the room which when we called about they sent up maintenance with Lysol. Then he chased it around the room. We killed a roach in the bathroom as well. The shower head was not clean and had calcium buildup and the water was cold the first night and only lukewarm after that. The kicker was that we paid for a penthouse with a private plunge pool which we were excited about but when we got it we noticed the pool had missing tile with black mold/growth underneath and rusted lights so we didn't stay in the pool for long. Finally, we went out late one night and when we tried to get back into our room there were so many lizards/geckos above our door that we had to run inside and one fell down on my husbands head. Food - the sister resort, Emotions, had better food. We found the food at our resort to be bland and we both actually ended up with diarrhea. For a five star resort this did not meet our expectations at all. We were there to celebrate our 10 year anniversary but ended up with a room that needed major updating and cleaning, pressure to attend a timeshare presentation, and food that left us both sick. We will not be returning nor recommending this resort to any of our friends or family members.

Bugs with your fruit anyone ?

The first impressions were very nice. Staff quickly greeted us at the car and walked us into a check in lounge where we were offered drinks and a gentlemen sat with us while our receptionist got our paperwork ready. I was waiting for the plea to join the timeshare talk to begin and after we were all checked in, that's exactly what happened. And taking no for an answer was not what this man wanted to do. We were tired and our 5 year old just wanted to begin her vacation. Finally, we were allowed to get our room key ( which they held on to until the time share man could get his time ). We were walked to the room, shown around and we were our way to vacation The property itself was very nice. The room was large and clean with all the amenities you will need on your trip. The penthouse had a balcony and upstairs a patio with a small pool, which was nice and relaxing. Every evening staff would come in and turndown the room and leave a candy or cookie on the bed, oh and they had a pillow menu with different pillow choices for your heads enjoyment. The resort itself was nice, very small, very quiet. My biggest complaint about the resort is there is not any smoking restricted areas. So the poor kids playing had to deal with the smoke of all the rest of the people staying at the resort. This includes the outdoor sections out the restaurants, and 3 of them are only outdoor. Gross ! It's 2020 while are you people being so gross ?? Finally the food. The food was not good! I'll show you a great picture of the fruit covered with bugs at the breakfast Buffett. The other restaurants were just OK, in fact we went out to eat one night to have a good meal even though all the food at the resort was included. However the service all over was amazing. They were always attentive and kept our drinks filled. Oh and the last thing. Their scam of " resort credit" of $300 should not be allowed to be advertised. they are just coupons requiring you to make a purchase to get the " credit ". Last time at fiesta Americana they gave you $200 and you have $200 to do whatever you want. This one was " get a free lobster if you buy 2 at full price. All in all, I would not return to this resort. There are less expensive options with way better food.

We have spent another fantastic vacation at Marival District. We were concerned that the property may have lost some of it's luster due to covid, but our worries were for nothing. Marival was as beautiful as ever!! What makes Marival is the people and they all were as wonderful as ever. The grounds, the rooms, the drinks and the food were all top notch , as always. Felix, we love you!! We were so glad everyone was well. As always, every single staff member goes above and beyond. The covid test was easy to schedule and the results came as promised. See you all in August.

I was recently here for a president's club trip and it was beyond phenomenal. Special shout out to our concierge Dulce! I thought I lost my wedding ring and wedding band and she was on top of it! The food is phenomenal. The pool is so big and a perfect temperature. The sheets felt like butter and the pillows were so comfortable. In your room, not only do you have a mini bar but there's an entire drawer full of snacks and they leave you goodies that turned down each night. The housekeeping staff always did an amazing job and paid attention to detail. The food at this resort is absolutely incredible! We ate at Piaf, Luca, the pool bar and ordered room service- I never once had a bad meal. 10 out of 10 across the board.

I get multiple confusing and conflicting email responses from their representatives claiming that international transactions can take up to 30 business days. Their story is ever-changing. We are well beyond thirty days and this is nonsense in 2026. I have since discovered on internet searches that this is a common problem with Gran Velas. This is extremely suspicious and likely a scam company - beware!

We were really disappointed with our experience for a number of reasons. This trip was our "family…read moremoon" after my wife and I got married, we wanted to take our kids for a family friend all inclusive. The frustrations started with check in that took SO long. they required us to show proof of payment. our name and ID was not enough despite seeing our reservation there so i was forced to go through my old credit card statements from months prior to show them. Then the most egregious thing I have EVER HAD HAPPEN TO ME, is they required me to show proof that my children were MY children. They dont have the same last name as me so I had to pull up their birth certificates and I was required to email them to the front desk. My kids are 14 and 12 and never in my life have I ever had to do this. Its incredible offensive and as a queer/trans person with a blended family and with a woman of color wife, it just reminded us how invisbilized we are and treated differently. Then we finally got our rooms and asked for a cot for one of my kids since we paid for 2 rooms for the 4 of us. We never got the cot that night and had to ask 2-3 more times and finally got the next night. We had to do the same thing for a dental kit for my daughter who forgot her toothbrush. took a day. The room service always took at least 40 minutes, for dinner the wait was always 45m in - 1 hour. It was nearly impossible to find a place to sit by the pool unless you got there at 8am like all the others who post up with their towels and belongings and hog the same space ALL day. There were a handful of kind/helpful workers - Juan at the pool, the entertainment people really trying to show people a good time, and you can see the workers/servers are doing their best but they seemed understaffed and thats a hard rock issue. The food was ok. but my wife did not feel well on the last night and we think it was the dinner. The only time we had attentive front desk people was the folks trying to sell you on the thing they say is NOT a time share at a hotel next door (sounds like a timeshare). As soon as we were not interested in that, they were not really interested in helping us. Even when i was asking about other tours, they just kept saying they could give to me free if I agreed to this 90 min presentation and was very hard to get them to help me book something if i didnt agree so i gave up on taking my kids on a tour outside the resort. They explained a bit about the "resort credits" of $1200 - its somewhat helpful if you look at it as a reduction in cost but the spa/salon services are overly expensive so youre basically then paying 35% of the regular cost and then tip. If you look at it as a discount --its not bad but its definitely NOT free credits. Then we requested a late checkout from the ipad in the room. several times. no response. we went down and said we would be happy to pay $120 fee to keep one room until 6pm and they said they couldnt. but they could let us stay until 4pm on the property. the next day when checking out they claimed they didnt have that so i had to push back to get them to allow us this. we had already booked a massage for 4pm so we needed to stay there and have a place for our kids to hang out before we left for the airport. the last thing was they claimed transportation to/from the hotel/airport was included (a $200 value). But i never got instructions on how to book this. so i paid out of pocket $90 to get a van to get me and my family to hard rock upon arrival. i tried to book for the return as it was allgedly included and they said it was too late becuase i didnt give them the flight info 7 days in advance. so i then had to pay out of pocked AGAIN to get a cab to the airport (uber is WAY cheaper only cost like $15 with tip). Overall, I just dont think its worth the amount of money you pay to be constantly trying to be upcharged at an all inclusive and I wasted so much time of my very short vacation trying to get staff to take care of needs like cots, toothbrush. and then the inflexibility on transportation, check out time, and requiring me to show BIRTH CERTIFICATES of my own children. Offensive and rude and uncalled for. Puerto Vallarta is amazing. I would just find a different place to go.

Room: 1) There is a leak and all the bath towels are wet…read moredaily, we have to catch the room cleaning person to get new towels daily. The technicians couldn't fix the leak (after 1 hr....I knew he wouldn't bc he looked like he just screwed and unscrewed things all day) so they moved us to another room after 2hrs on a the ground floor and the girl at the reception was so unaware. I'm sure the guy who ran the beach shack for boogie boards would've done a better job of managing guests than the people at the front reception. 2) There is a huge tub in the middle of the room which was completely useless. 3) Bathroom has an unhygienic setting - no vent, glass window / shutter from bathroom to room so people in room can smell your business. Food: we are vegetarian so it was more misses than hits. -Frieda: food was completely flavorless. -Ciao: 1) Caprese: served with HUGE tomatoes and a giant piece of burrata cheese and flavorful balsamic. 2) Bruschetta di Ricotta: same thing as Caprese. 3) Tagliatelle con pesto: no flavor at all, zero salt. 4) Parmigiano Melanzano: too much tomato paste and sugar. The entire dish tastes like sweet sauce. -Zen: Omg this place was a nightmare, the evening we came a kid was crying nonstop so loud the server said I'm sorry I can't do anything. Everything tasted like shit. Soup: white paste with slices of raw red onions and 2 pieces of tofu...wtf is that! Banana Roll Sushi: tasteless with rice that was overcooked and old. Sadly we saw this same item and many others from Zen at the breakfast buffet the next day. That really made it sad to be here. -Marketplace: the food was so limited it was sad. We as vegetarians really survived on Banana Crepes, fruits and omelette station. The Crepe lady made the kids day every day! She was the only gem this place had for food. 1) flu shots and breakfast smoothies are awesome. Drinks are never ending which is nice. Pool near Waterslide was soooo cold; it was uncomfortable to be in the water. The ocean was better. Ocean Rentals: boogie board, Kayaks were amazing. Kids had a blast and the guy who was at the shack was hilarious and so amazing! He got the kids all excited to do stuff and they loved it. This guy also looked like he MC'd the pool dance out which was hilarious and entertaining. Photoshoot: the idiot called us at 9am and told us the sun is in a great spot to take pictures! Sebastian was dumb as hell, but the guy with him who was clearerLY smarter wouldn't take the pictures. Sebastian was completely off putting and looked like he didn't know jack. He wasn't even at the desk (no one was) when we called us the next day at 9am to come look at the pictures! That tells you how professional they are overall. Cafetto: great chocolate ice cream and lattes. I would avoid this resort - the all inclusive package is a boring headache.

We did not sit through a timeshare presentation. - Breakfast is much better at Flamingo. Food is served hot and has a way better selection. If you eat early at Estancia, the hot food in the chafers is not hot. Limited selection. Barely lukewarm. -The gym is much better at Estancia. Nice equipment. -The lobby is much nicer at Estancia-very elegant. -If you want a less hectic hotel-choose Estancia -LOccitane tolietries at Estancia -Felix the housekeeper is so friendly! -Spa services are nice -Hotel grounds are very clean -Estancia has the best slippers I've ever worn in a hotel -Estancia's restaurant for dinner is very nice -El Patron at Flamingo is nice - Raphael is a great waiter. Daniel too! -Estancia's front desk staff-Rosy is so nice. We had an issue with our first room (2104A) that had no front gate like the other rooms and had frosted window that wasn't totally frosted so people can see inside, especially if the lights are on. We tried to move and had constant pushback. Jair made it happen for us to move. Omar is very nice and helpful. The staff at Estancia is wonderful! -Going to see Buscemi wasn't a great adventure. It is a long walk to get there along the beach and the resorts near there do not allow you to cut over to get to the street. There are security guards that will stop you. Take a taxi to town if you want to see it but don't walk there. Best to get your groceries there. Buying things in the hotel market is very very expensive. It is nice that taxis have a set fee depending on the area you want to go. There's no nickel and diming there. -The hotel is always trying to sell you something or extra items have a fee where normally at hotels, there are no fees like for an extra laundry pod. Everywhere you go someone is always wanting to sell you something. Even on the beach. If you have credits, be sure that the hotel has the same dollar credits in their system. If not, you're out of luck when you check out. -One good highlight. There is wildlife around the hotel. Manta rays swimming along the shore, Olive Ridley turtles hatching in the sand and racing to the ocean, lizards everywhere. -I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

Cockroaches in the room, dirty counters, and stained bed sheets--completely unacceptable. The shower had almost no water pressure, and the room felt poorly maintained overall. I was traveling there for a wedding and had requested months in advance to be placed in the wedding block as well as on on a higher floor, but was placed far from the wedding block and on the first floor instead, which ruined a big part of the trip. When I asked about switching rooms, the front desk hinted that paying extra would "fix it," which felt extremely unprofessional. Very disappointing. I would not stay here again, and I would strongly caution others considering staying here.

It was pure relaxation and amazing vibes all around. The property is truly stunning from the rooms, to the restaurants, the pools, the beach (our favorite), and the spa (absolutely must book something at the Spa to experience it). The excursion we booked was great and very easy to coordinate as you can book through the hotel. Truly what made this trip so special though was staff. They were absolutely amazing and all so kind. From the front to desk to wait staff to spa to bellhops. A couple special shoutouts below and I hope whoever is reading this gets to meet them: Itza: AMAZING poolside service. We loved getting to know her and she was so kind to us and remembered our orders after the first day so we would come down to the pool or back from the beach and have our drinks waiting for us. Augustino: Incredibly friendly and anticipated everything we could need. He had waters waiting for us at our chairs, drink refills just as we finished our current drinks, great food recommendations, and even better conversations. Gabby: At venazu she was our waitress on our first night and she was so fun to talk to. We chatted with her throughout the rest of our stay and is so much fun! Marco: FANTASTIC bartender at the living room bar. Was so nice chatting with him and having him make some cocktails or trying new liquors we haven't had before. Leiti & Gustavo: Both were fantastic at the front desk from check-in to check-out. We stopped by a few times throughout our stay to check on things and they were always so kind and helpful. Estella & Josue: Both helped us coordinate transportation to and from the airport and also an excursion to the marietas islands (you MUST go). Josue was so detail oriented and very easy to work with and Estella was amazing too. We will definitely be coming back again and making it a yearly trip :)

3.5 star hotel at a 4 star price!…read more W Punta de Mita is a fine hotel, tucked about 45 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta on a no traffic day, and maybe 75 minutes if there is bad weather. Two pools, one for all ages and another solely for adults. I think there were really only 4 restaurants in the entire hotel site. Chevycheria, which is a beach ceviche spot. Spice Market, which was Vietnamese. Venazu, which admittedly I didn't visit. And Rubra, which has a $200.00 tasting menu. There's also the pool food, which was perfectly adequate. If you're more of a vacationer than a traveler, then I think you'll find your stay here more than enjoyable. It is a hassle trying to get an uber to get you to the airport or to puerto vallarta, but there are also 2 or 3 other hotels in the area, so there may be drivers around. Regarding my experience, I was slightly annoyed that I didn't get a Marriot Elite upgrade to my room (the hostess said since I booked with points, that was a no-go). In reading someone else's Yelp review, they mentioned they at least got free breakfasts, which annoys me even more now since I wasn't offered that. Cleaning was spotty, as the first day the room wasn't cleaned until 6:00pm or so. The next day the room wasn't even cleaned at all. Overall, not an incredibly huge fan.

Hotel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta really delivers a luxe experience. From the moment we checked in,…read moreVIP treatment with champagne, cool towels, and super attentive service. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was beautiful, super spacious, comfy beds, and a really nice shower. Room service was solid too which is always a win on vacation. The restaurants overall were good. The Asian spot was tasty, and there is a steakhouse included, but it was pretty mid. We ended up paying for the upgraded steakhouse for a better dining experience and that one definitely hit harder. One of my favorite parts was the rooftop bar at night. Great views, cozy seating, good drinks, and even hookah service if that is your thing. The whole place has that modern, upscale vibe without feeling stiff. Definitely a spot I would go back to when I want a bougie but fun getaway.

This is one of the rare luxury resorts where vegan dining feels intentional, abundant, and genuinely excellent, not like an afterthought. Every restaurant on property was able to accommodate my dietary needs with ease, creativity, and enthusiasm. * Hiroshi deserves a special mention; the vegan chocolate cake is out of this world, and the vegan sushi options were some of the best I've ever had. * Dao was incredibly accommodating and happy to veganize anything on the menu. * Blanca Blue had many delicious vegan options that were clearly labeled on the menu. *BocaDos Steak House even offers a dedicated vegan menu, which was both thoughtful and delicious. * Noi the Italian cuisine restaurant was so accommodating and made me the best vegan veggie mushroom pizza, different types of breads and sauces, and a vegan dessert. They also make vegan pasta and risotto! * The pool bars were also fully accommodating and happy to customize dishes. Some of my favorite vegan items throughout the resort: * Vegan tacos * Fresh guacamole and chips with salsa * Jicama ceviche * Passion fruit and raspberry sorbet * Lattes with plant-based milk Room service was just as impressive. Some of my favorite foods to order were: * Almond milk oatmeal * Fresh fruit platters * Lattes and tea * Vegan chocolates * Veggie fajitas The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and proactive about dietary needs, which made the entire experience feel effortless and relaxing. They even surprised me with a vegan chocolate cake topped with fresh berries for my birthday! If you're vegan (or traveling with someone who is), Hotel Mousai is a dream destination. I felt completely taken care of, never limited, and genuinely excited for every meal. I highly recommend it and will absolutely be returning.

*3.5 stars rounded to 4. This place has the best location!!…read more I came here for a day and lounged by the pool. This place is extremely safe and there is a very long driveway to the resort with a huge security gate so it felt super safe. The location is amazing if you need to grab groceries in case you want to stay home for the night and not eat out. Some suites come with their own kitchen. It's a 45 minute walk to the city along the beachfront. Lying at the pool the age range was mostly seniors from Canada flocking here to avoid their snowy winters based on a conversation I had from a member. There was bingo and water aerobics going on when I was lying there and not very many kids which I liked. I can't stand screaming children running around and peeing in the pool while on vacay because I don't have any LOL! Gratuity is included but like any resort they gravitate towards extra tippers. I found the resort to be a bit outdated and older so they definitely need to update the decor and bring in some Smart technology. It seems to be in a time warp but maybe that is just the way it is in Puerto Vallarta. I had the breakfast buffet which was mediocre and scarce compared to what I am used to. Overall after only a day trip I had a pleasant time once I experienced the incredible spa that is there. What a great massage and experience that was. I loved the huge large shower with the lever that makes you feel you're under a waterfall! There was a spa lady running around with you handing towels and scrub which seemed a bit too controlling for my taste.
