Had the complimentary breakfast delivered to our room
Jennifer V.

We stayed for four nights in April 2024. The room was clean and updated. The entire hotel was spotless. I have NEVER been in a cleaner hotel anywhere. The customer service was over the top. The complimentary breakfast every morning was amazing with a full menu! The chips and guacamole made fresh to order poolside is to die for. The margaritas at the rooftop bar were perfect! I have zero complaints! They are directly across the tiniest street from the beach, one block away from the streets of downtown and a very short and cultural walk to the romantica zone where we drank margaritas on the beach and watched the whales swim by! We cannot wait to come back and are even thinking of using them as a short term rental.

The staff at this hotel have ZERO customer service. I left here with huge amounts of anger and outrage. On Wednesday 9/14 I went to reception to confirm my checkout date, staff told me it was Saturday. So on Friday 9/16, heading back from a super fun tour, I see a message from Fernanda saying my check out was Friday and they proceeded to take all my stuff out of the room before even communicating with me. When I finally arrived at the hotel Fernanda with manager of booking (or something like that) made it seem like it was my fault when again I had confirmed check out was Saturday with staff at reception. They did no accommodation for there f*#k up. All the offered was 10% discount for an additional night. After the headache and stress they cause on my vacation, ain't no way I would pay to stay another night there. Attached is a photo of how they left our belongings. They even put my facial products and personal care products in a bag that is used to store shoes. Unbelievable. Terrible! No customer service, no honor at all these people.

The workers that couldn't go home were housed. The guests, like me, that were checking out were allowed to book another night, even though they were in a sold out status. The hotel mgmt took care of all of us in such a beautifully kind manner which allowed us to find some safety while the town was burning due to the car fires. The property is right on beach, has a family pool and adult swim area with hot tubs in both areas. We booked a hotel room that had a small pool access from the patio. They have 2 swim up bars, a children's play area, spa and an excellent workout room. I was told they will be renovating the hotel this summer 2026, which is needed in some areas, such as the spa. It was a very enjoyable visit other than the cartel action and I would stay here again if I come back to Puerto Vallarta.

The staff are WONDERFUL and always willing to help. Mae sure you go to the breakfast buffet and fuel up every morning (this was our favorite part of the day)! There are so many breakfast options and Maria will make you pancakes/waffles/omelets with a smile. They renovated their pools and it has added so much space to the pool deck, as well as an adult-only space. This hotel is walking distance to the marina, where you can wander off to at night to get a bite to eat or stock up on some basic necessities. During the week there is a fun art walk in the evening! Also, you are just a taxi ride away to Zona Romantica - the staff will ensure you get a safe and fair taxi anywhere!

Luxurious gem! We were 3 couples total, everyone was super impressed with their rooms,…read moreaccommodations and the food. We did not have to leave the resort because it was meant to be a 100% relaxation and disconnect good time. We stayed in the North tower. This all inclusive resort has beautiful pools and friendly staff. For me, the best of all was our large room with a wrap around balcony on the 8th floor with a hot tub, hammock and lounge chairs. You can connect via Bluetooth to the multiple ceiling speakers in the room and the balcony. This can definitely be a honeymoon vacation. I recommend it.

Visually, this resort is stunning with gorgeous, spacious rooms and incredible views, but I…read moredefinitely won't be back. The terrible food, zero entertainment, and constant nickel-and-diming completely ruined the all-inclusive vibe. Arrival & Location Check-in was painless with no hidden fees, though we did get hit with a pushy "not a timeshare" pitch. The resort is nestled in the jungle about 40 mins from the airport--beautiful, but isolated, as it takes a 30-minute Uber to get to town. Tip: head to nearby Boca de Tomatlán to catch a $5 water shuttle to quieter, boat-only beaches. The Room Huge and gorgeous. I loved the jacuzzi, balcony hammock, and high-tech touches like iPad-controlled curtains and built-in speakers. Housekeeping was thorough, and they generously restocked the minibar with booze, though the snacks were a letdown (just repetitive nuts and Snickers). Pools & Beach The rooftop pools have killer views and great drinks, but the food menus are identical across all of them, and staff usually forgot to heat the pools on windy days. The lower beachside pool was unremarkable with noticeably worse service. The beach itself is rocky and gets packed with locals on weekends since it's public. Watch out for the ridiculous $150 beach lobster upsell! Also, the free kayak and paddleboard desk inexplicably closed early every day, sometimes by 1:00 PM. Entertainment & Service This is the only all-inclusive I've visited with ZERO included entertainment. The only event was a single musical performance that cost extra. Service overall was okay, but only if you tipped heavily and constantly. One day we basically had to self-serve at the pool. Having to sign a receipt for every single $0 drink is a massive, tedious buzzkill , and especially dangerous while drunk, since you never know if the POS app is set in USD or pesos. The Food (The Worst Part) Breakfast and lunch menus were practically identical across every venue (mostly generic tortillas with low-quality meat and beans). The fruit was terrible (tasteless melon and zero in-season mangoes), and non-inclusive items were priced 3 to 4 times higher than in major US cities. Dao (Chinese): The best spot. Great decor, prompt service, good drinks, and solid food (just skip the chow fun). They even let us order to-go. Hiroshi (Japanese): 2nd best. Great service and lychee martinis. The tuna was decent, but the cheaper fish (unagi, ebi) was poor, and a single piece of Otoro was an absurd $40. Without the all-inclusive, a very basic sushi meal here would easily be $600. Elia (Peruvian): Pretty presentation, but awful cocktails, 1.5-hour waits for food, and mediocre-to-bad dishes (outside of the grilled meats). Bocados (Steakhouse): Great views, but terrible drinks, hour-long waits, and the worst dry-aged ribeye of my life (burnt on the outside, raw/overcooked inside). Blanca Blue: We tried the lunch buffet and it was the most disgusting, inedible buffet I've ever had at a resort. Beach Grill: Decent burgers and wings, but lackluster tacos. The raw crudo actually gave us mild food poisoning. Room Service: Prompt but very low quality, and they completely forgot our breakfast order one morning. Ironically, we took a quick Uber to a nearby village for a $30 fresh charcoal-grilled fish, and it was the best meal of our entire trip. Bottom line: the resort looks amazing and the rooms are comfortable, but the awful food, lack of things to do, and greedy pricing make it impossible to justify a return visit.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, and as a Hyatt member I felt truly appreciated with the discounts provided. The all-inclusive hotel had a great variety of food, which we really enjoyed. Every waiter, pool attendant, and bartender was amazing. Luis Miguel was our waiter and provided outstanding service. The private beach is a great added bonus, and the activities were a highlight of our stay. I even played some of the games offered and won a prize! We also felt very safe throughout the entire stay and would definitely go back. All the staff catered to our every need, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

But after seeing some of the mixed feedback now, I was honestly surprised. It seems like this place can be very hit or miss. Thankfully for us, it was definitely a hit. We were there for three nights, and overall had a great experience. Our main complaint would be the food, which we found to be mediocre overall, though there were definitely a couple of standouts. Next time, I'd skip the buffet except for the freshly made stations, which were the only part consistently worth it. We really enjoyed the teppanyaki at Tamari, and the fish and shrimp tacos from Blaze were so good we had them twice during our stay. On the other hand, dinner at Blaze was unremarkable and we were disappointed with the pizza and zeppole from Melanzane, though we didn't get to try anything else there. I do wish we had stayed an extra night or two to explore more of the dining options, though based on what we experienced, we may not have missed out on too much. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Rafael at the club lounge bar and Lizbeth at reception - both were a pleasure and made our stay even more enjoyable. I was also surprised by the size of the gym and the variety of equipment. I made sure to get at least one workout in and really appreciated the incredible ocean views while doing so. We visited in February and never felt like the resort was overcrowded. In fact, some restaurants seemed surprisingly empty at times. One thing worth noting: they have pickleball courts and a basketball court, which we didn't see advertised anywhere. We would've packed our pickleball gear had we known, but fortunately they provide equipment you can borrow. They also offer activities throughout the day - we mostly enjoyed the evening bar shows. I'd definitely recommend downloading their app to keep track of the schedule and access other helpful hotel information like menus. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and a strong positive experience for us. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the dining experience didn't quite match the rest of the resort. While the food could be more consistent, the friendly staff, beautiful setting, amenities, and relaxed atmosphere made it a memorable stay.

During the 18 months of wedding planning, people often asked about the stress and how it was going. I can honestly say that planning our wedding at Playa Fiesta was not only stress-free but also a lot of fun! This was due to Adam, Lindsay and their amazing team! I can't tell you how refreshing it was to work with a team that was so friendly, detail oriented, organized, and extremely responsive. It was obvious from the very start that Adam and Lindsay are experts when it comes to hosting weddings and their support and guidance throughout the entire process was so appreciated! Upon arrival to Playa Fiesta we were blown away by how absolutely stunning the property is. If you thought the photos were impressive just wait until you see it in person!! You can tell that they take great pride in keeping everything pristine! The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, very spacious and had the most breathtaking views! The pool deck, bar, sunset terrace and patio area were all gorgeously designed! No details were spared! The Playa Fiesta staff, without a doubt, is the friendliest, most attentive, and hardworking group I have ever encountered. Lindsay, Gabi, Tammy, and Bernard deserve a huge shoutout for making our wedding week perfect. Charley the bartender is iconic! He is a master of his craft! The wait and kitchen staff, especially Ernesto, contributed to our phenomenal experience. Chef Octavio impressed us with his delicious dishes throughout the week. Our week was filled with so many fun activities!! I highly recommend the fire jugglers and hosting a karaoke night! The massages on the sun deck were out of this world amazing. Best massage I have ever had (you will definitely want to upgrade to the full hour!) The wedding day itself was a dream. Lindsay and her team orchestrated the entire day to perfection. The Playa Fiesta hair and makeup team, Christy and Brenda, were fantastic. Photographer Eder and videographer Sandra blended seamlessly with our group, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable. The ceremony setup was breathtaking, creating an intimate atmosphere despite our numerous guests. I can't express enough how obsessed I was with the floral arrangements. Maripepa and her team are true artists who did a phenomenal job with the flowers and bouquets. Dinner was delicious, and Lindsay ensured we had time to sit down and enjoy our meal. As someone who is gluten-free, I was blown away by our delicious gluten-free wedding cake that I'll be dreaming about for years. The reception was one of the best nights of my life, from non-stop dancing to a surprise fireworks show. The DJ crushed it, keeping everyone on the dance floor for hours. We have since had several guests tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to! I can't praise Playa Fiesta enough--they are truly the best at what they do, and I wholeheartedly recommend hosting your wedding here.

I do wish the beach cabanas were a little more updated, but that's just a small detail. We did have a couple of disappointing moments--one with the beach activities staff who brushed me off and made a rude comment because I don't speak Spanish. I'm a middle eastern American and I look like I speak Spanish. Another with a group of guests at the pool who were rude and took over our pool tables and moved our umbrella. I complained to the staff and the guests proceeded to make rude comments about us in Spanish. It was very odd. But the resort staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and immediately brought us a new table and umbrella. We loved the kids club overall, but I do wish the staff were a little more engaging. The first afternoon I dropped my kids off, I actually got a call asking me to come pick them up because they said they wanted to leave. When I arrived, my kids told me they were just bored and actually wanted to stay, but the staff still asked that we sign them out. It didn't happen on any other day, which was a relief, but it was concerning at first because I worried about making spa or dinner reservations and having them interrupted. Hilton Vallarta Riviera All Inclusive - Guest room

Hilton Vallarta Riviera All Inclusive

This was our fourth experience with Hilton Vallarta Riviera, and after multiple visits, I believe…read morethe greatest strength of this resort is its General Manager, Yulio Beracierto, and the culture of hospitality he personally works extremely hard to create. Every resort can experience operational challenges. What separates an average hotel from an exceptional one is leadership and how management responds when something does not go as planned. Yulio is one of the most genuinely caring, accessible, and guest focused General Managers I have encountered. He listens, follows through, accepts constructive feedback, and takes personal responsibility for the experience of his guests. His leadership is the primary reason I continue to consider this a five star property. Fernanda Vidal, Yulio's Executive Administrative Assistant, also deserves tremendous recognition. She consistently went above and beyond for our family, followed up on details, and demonstrated exceptional professionalism and genuine kindness throughout our stay. Yulio and Fernanda make an extraordinary team. There are also several employees who deserve recognition. Kayla at the bar was wonderful. Juan at the Mexican restaurant personally approached us after learning about an earlier disappointing experience and asked us to give the restaurant another opportunity, which demonstrated genuine concern. Edgar at Sunan Asian restaurant provided excellent hospitality. The captain at the Italian restaurant, whose name unfortunately escapes me, went considerably above and beyond for our family. Claudia from Housekeeping was absolutely fantastic and took wonderful care of us. There are, however, areas where the resort needs improvement. The most significant is Food and Beverage consistency, particularly the lunch buffet. My wife and I enjoy healthy food and fresh salads, and on several occasions the lettuce and other ingredients were wilted, warm, and simply not at the standard I would expect from Hilton. Food quality, presentation, restaurant organization, and consistency require stronger management attention. I shared these concerns directly with Yulio because his vision for this resort deserves to be executed consistently throughout the Food and Beverage operation. The pool and cabana area also needs stronger oversight. Excessive drinking and inappropriate behavior by some guests can negatively affect the atmosphere for families. Pool management and security should be more proactive in maintaining the upscale, comfortable environment expected at a resort of this caliber. Finally, continued renovation and modernization of the property would complement the level of hospitality Yulio is working so hard to provide. I share these observations as constructive feedback, not simply criticism. Having spent more than 40 years in executive management, I strongly believe that great organizations improve when leadership listens to their customers. Yulio does exactly that. I have previously communicated directly with senior Hilton leadership regarding Yulio because exceptional leadership deserves recognition. He is not simply a General Manager sitting behind the scenes. He is visible, engaged, accountable, and genuinely invested in his guests. When something goes wrong, he does not hide from it or make excuses. He listens and works to make it right. That is why, despite some operational shortcomings, I still give Hilton Vallarta Riviera five stars. Yulio's leadership, together with Fernanda and the many dedicated employees working alongside them, gives me confidence in the future of this resort. My strongest recommendation to Yulio is simply this: surround yourself at every level with leaders who share your vision, your passion for hospitality, and your commitment to the guest experience. If that vision is consistently carried throughout the entire property, this resort has tremendous potential. Thank you, Yulio, Fernanda, and the team members who took such wonderful care of our family. Your hospitality is remembered and sincerely appreciated.

Currently , while at this property, the prices were comparable to Hyatt, however I feel Hilton's value doesn't deserve a price similar to Hyatt. The food isn't as good, sometimes some of the food would run out (bacon was always empty and papaya was not available daily). The options are wider at Ziva, more restaurants and more bars. Also, at times certain areas felt like a bottle neck at Hilton ( buffet and 4th floor elevators). Riu, to me always felt more economical. You get an awesome bang for your buck there. In terms of offerings, I feel Hilton is closer to Riu however they are charging a Hyatt Ziva premium. Hiltons cafe is not even apart of the all inclusive like Hyatt is. For the price, I choose Hyatt ziva, and even if Hilton reduced their price by 20%, I would probably choose Riu. I think Hilton needs to offer a little more at a lower price to be competitive.
