Balcony view of the secluded street and ocean.

We love the Los Arcos owned hotels in Puerto Vallarta because they are in the center of a lot of action in Zona Romantica, clean, with very helpful and friendly staff. But the biggest reason is that if you are staying at the Los Arcos, Los Arcos Suites, or Doña Susana by Los Arcos, you can use the amenities at ALL THREE properties. This includes three pools, several hot tubs, kid friendly pools, spa services, the rooftop bar at Doña Suzanna, and if course all of their restaurants at each property. On top of this, you can get complimentary breakfast and as an upgrade, you can get all of your meals covered with the all inclusive package among other perks. This is by far the best hotel experience available in Puerto Vallarta. There is no comparison.

Very pretty at night

We recently stayed 5 nights here. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful! This is definitely a no-frills hotel the standard room and bathroom was extremely small!! However they were clean and well air conditioned and served the purpose! The location is awesome!! With tons of restaurants and shopping and endless sites to see on the boardwalk! The pool was well maintained by staff. Overall our experience was great!

Three settings: 1) super cold, 2) super stupid cold, and 3) "hell froze over" cold

Stolen credit card, loud, old, moldy, small, poor quality, poor service -- not worth your hard earned money. Check-In When checking in, we were told the room we booked three months prior wasn't available. We were told that we could stay in a smaller room, but we'd have to move the next day, and still have to pay full price. The next day, we were told that our second room wasn't available yet, and we'd have to leave all of our valuables with the front desk. Given we had electronics, passports, etc, we complained for 30m until they finally gave us another room. After getting back from an outing and getting a chance to check-out our new (also horrible) room, we said forget it, checked out, and went down the road to another (vastly better) hotel for the same price. Quality The online pictures make this place look updated and modern -- it's far from it. You hear everything. The staff yelling at each other in the morning, the construction, the loud air conditioning units, everything. Your air conditioning has three settings: 1) super cold, 2) super stupid cold, and 3) "hell froze over" cold. The pool was the smallest in all of PV hotels (no sarcasm); I never saw anyone use it in over 36-hours. The "numerous cable channels" are all fuzzy. Bed was hard as a rock uncomfortable. You could visibly see mold in every room and crevice Food We ate here once, for breakfast -- fool me once, not twice. The breakfast buffet was sparse. The coffee was burnt. My omelet had egg shells, the center was runny and completely uncooked. The fruit was low quality, all of it sour -- and I had some fantastic fruit at other places. The pastries were so hard that my wife and I were playing frisbee at the table with one of them. FYI. They charge $10 (200 pesos) a person for this. For that, you can get 5x better at any of the local establishments. Thiefs My wife used her credit card ONCE while we were in Mexico... at Los Arcos Suites. Her credit card information was stolen and had $3,000 charged to it before a hold was put on the card. I find it ironic that this was less than two hours after checking out

I've walked by this property during a prior visit in PV. What caught my attention was the colorful…read morenetting that was covering the courtyard. A beautiful celebration welcoming you to Mexico. Fast forward a couple months later, we're here and trying it out.... First off, location is AMAZING. Literally right in the heart of the Romantic Zone. Everything is literally footsteps and minutes away. You have the beach a few minutes walk down. As well as the well known Los Muertos Pier. Restaurant one after the other next door to you and across the street. Not only that, bars are all walking distance. Either at the corner or half a block away. Even though it's central to everything, it wasn't crazy noisy. Check in was a breeze. We got dropped off with uber. It's a one way street so it made it simple but parking is tricky there if you're driving. Right when you walk in, that's where you'll be greeted with the beautiful color crochet canopy. We arrived early and were offered early check in and late check out with our booking status. Not only that, we were offered two rooms to choose from and to top it off. A beautiful welcoming with a bottle of wine. Property is pretty much lined with plants and flowers surrounding the area. I believe it's three maybe four level. There is a pool, it's small but does the trick for a boutique hotel. Sun lounges around it as well as on an upper deck for sunbathing. There's a massive mango tree that's right in front and does offer fruits which are left out for anyone to take. Check in was a breeze, with the sweet lady that was working. They do have a lock and safe box in front private room. It was 300 peso deposit and you receive it after you return the ticket slip at end of visit. Same as beach towels, believe it was 200 pesos deposit. Room itself, pretty basic as it's a boutique hotel. Affordable which was nice. They had Airbnb similar but this visit we didn't want to have to do everything ourself. Hence a hotel with housekeeping. Big king size bed with a sofa/futon. Bathroom was basic with a shower. Sink was small. It does need some renovation but did the trick. You have complimentary toiletry which was just basic. There wasn't an iron, blow dryer or safe in room. Traditional Hispanic vibes decorated the room. There's of course ac and a small tv mounted to the wall near ceiling. You're able to connect to your streaming channels from your phone. We did have to figure out how to change the language preferences. Overall, rooms do need some updating. Property was beautiful with all the lush plants and flowers. Courtyard with the beautiful colorful canopy and tables outside. Decent pool for lounging, it's not that deep. There's a community fridge and kitchen area. Power did go out for a bit which left the tv unable to come on but we were heading out for the evening. Minor glitch. There is construction a couple doors down but didn't bother us as we were out majority of the day. And a restaurant literally right next door for breakfast and lunch. Would I stay again, yes. It's a nice friendly affordable place. Perfect location for everything. Had all the necessity, safe which can be utilized in private room at the lobby. I'm sure dryer and iron can be brought up to room. But the stay was great.

They have a nice size pool and bar within a beautiful courtyard with great loungers, tables, and chairs. If there is no one behind the bar they have an honor system that you can write down what you chose. They have everything from non-alcoholic beverages to top shelf, premium spirits. There is a jigger there if you are making yourself some thing so you can be exact on what you took. In the afternoon when there are a few guests enjoying the sun, they do have someone actually coming around to the pool while you are in it asking if you would like anything. They have a Jacuzzi that is available that is right on the river. One just needs to ask them to turn on and give them a half an hour to get it at a perfect temperature. They have a choice of breakfast in the mornings at a fair price. Our room with spectacular, with wonderful rounded tall ceilings, and beautiful stained glass on parts of the top, I believe it was called the countess. If you are looking for a charming, not big hotel feeling this is the place for you. I will stay there when I go to Puerto Vallarta again.

Such a deal as it was in a quiet residential neighborhood but within easy walking distance to popular restaurants and bars as well as the Malecon. For three nights, we stayed on the second floor in the purple and gray Korvette room which had a comfortable Queen bed and a nice balcony overlooking the river. It was a bucolic woodsy setting with birds chirping and the sporadic rumble of motor scooters below us. The entire hotel was decorated to the hilt with eccentric bric-a-brac that must surely reflect the eclectic taste of the owner. The hotel's homey vibe extended even to the house cat who had its own Victorian brass bed. We took advantage of the complimentary margaritas available upon arrival. The bartender was up on the rooftop terrace on the seventh floor. The sunset view was spectacular, and there was a small lap pool that looked inviting had it been able to accommodate more than one swimming guest at a time. RELATED - Exploring Puerto Vallarta? But after seeing some of the mixed feedback now, I was honestly surprised. It seems like this place can be very hit or miss. Thankfully for us, it was definitely a hit. We were there for three nights, and overall had a great experience. Our main complaint would be the food, which we found to be mediocre overall, though there were definitely a couple of standouts. Next time, I'd skip the buffet except for the freshly made stations, which were the only part consistently worth it. We really enjoyed the teppanyaki at Tamari, and the fish and shrimp tacos from Blaze were so good we had them twice during our stay. On the other hand, dinner at Blaze was unremarkable and we were disappointed with the pizza and zeppole from Melanzane, though we didn't get to try anything else there. I do wish we had stayed an extra night or two to explore more of the dining options, though based on what we experienced, we may not have missed out on too much. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Rafael at the club lounge bar and Lizbeth at reception - both were a pleasure and made our stay even more enjoyable. I was also surprised by the size of the gym and the variety of equipment. I made sure to get at least one workout in and really appreciated the incredible ocean views while doing so. We visited in February and never felt like the resort was overcrowded. In fact, some restaurants seemed surprisingly empty at times. One thing worth noting: they have pickleball courts and a basketball court, which we didn't see advertised anywhere. We would've packed our pickleball gear had we known, but fortunately they provide equipment you can borrow. They also offer activities throughout the day - we mostly enjoyed the evening bar shows. I'd definitely recommend downloading their app to keep track of the schedule and access other helpful hotel information like menus. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and a strong positive experience for us. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the dining experience didn't quite match the rest of the resort. While the food could be more consistent, the friendly staff, beautiful setting, amenities, and relaxed atmosphere made it a memorable stay.

We spent most of our time at the adult pool which was a lovely location with an infinity pool, hot tub, and drink service. There was also a great view of the beach, which seemed very private. The atmosphere in general was relatively relaxed and upscale, and not too many kids, but maybe it was off season. Overall, would certainly go again!
