This is a wonderful find if you are looking for old world service and strait forward good food. I was impressed in so many ways with the attention to detail from service to service wares. I do love beautiful china, silver and stemware. Though it seemed to be missing the personal touch of warmth and sincerity. I would highly recommend this for a business luncheon place. For personal enjoyment not sure you will find this the best spot to relax and enjoy your guests. In addition to prices that are a bit high in relationship to the offerings.

Worse restaurant in paris - unfortunately recommended to us by the concierge from George V - four seasons the service was horrible the waiter dribbled most of our wine while he poured our Sancerre into my water glass - soufflé came out as flat as a pancake - more like a chocolate lava cake- entrées start at $40.00- go somewhere else If you want to pay for $40.00 mashed potatoes - come here - was the only decent dish and experience of the evening . Blah - French should be ashamed. As should the four seasons for sending us here -

This is a nice restaurant with chic casual ambiance. I found the menu somewhat limited. The food was simply good. The service, excellent.

They were so nice and helpful in choosing the best sampling of oysters from different French regions. We could really taste the differences We over ordered thinking that the "small" oysters would be tiny... none of them were small haha They don't serve mignonette or hot sauce ... just a bit of lemon and they don't recommend using it (we did on a few of them) So good and so fresh tho you can enjoy them plain Outstanding This place is TINY TINY TINY (maybe 4 or 5 tables) so I do not recommend it for groups more than 4 unless you want to take up the whole place (which would probably be a fun experience in itself) We lucked out on walking in but unless you make a reservation You'd probably have to wait a bit to enjoy this great establishment Highly recommend

Just finished a long bike ride to the Eiffel Tower and worked up an appetite. Decided to go straight to the main course. They are known for Au Gratins. My son is not a cheese fan so he opted for the norvigene (smoked salmon in dill lemon and EVOO. I decided to stick with the house specialty; Landais Au Gratin (cream potatoes, duck breast and emmental cheese). The 2 girls beside me ordered a cider with both their meals so I followed their lead. When in Paris...... Considering the temperature, I almost second-guess myself and ordered something other than their house specialty of au gratin potatoes. In the end, I was very glad I overruled that thought. Brody enjoyed his meal. He just appeared to still be hungry when it was done and a 16 year-old boy that normally has a high caloric intake, I can understand why he wanted a second meal after eating his first! The restaurant in the patio were quite crowded even though we had reservations. They still sat us within five minutes of arrival. Not five minutes is a long time away, but it was still worth the weight as good as the food tasted. We both enjoyed our meals.

Didn't blow me away, but was solid with the creaminess of the sliced potatoes and emmental cheese combined together with mixed vegetables. The cheese was very strong though, so anything else was unfortunately pretty much overpowered by it. Arrived with bread, but it DEFINITELY could use other carb options to sop it all up (e.g., rice???)! = Landais - Cheese gratin with duck. Same comment as the above, except the Landais had egg and goat cheese also mixed in with almost the same ingredients as the Fermier. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + The lone waitress, who also worked the role as greeter, cashier and bartender was friendly. + Food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ = Small, tight restaurant. = Not many tables inside - 6 in total. + Located a few blocks away from the more touristy restaurants, towards the East, on a much quieter street. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Nada.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

As a Chinese, I understood more than 50% of the conservations (Chinese). Which doesn't mean anything about the food. Just observation. Onion soup - 2 stars. First, the cheese failed to emit the baked, melted gruyere cheese, there is no aroma at all. I don't think they used gruyere cheese. May be mozzarella cheese. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.
