The barria tacos were amazing. DO NOT order individual barria tacos order either the half or full order. It is so much better that way. They give you tortillas with lime, cilantro, and onion. I am a fan of gourmet food trucks, and I am always happy to visit a Mexican Seafood Truck that makes griddled fish tacos or "al la plancha," like I did at this place. I ordered two fish tacos on corn tortilla with everything on them. The taco was very good but a little limited on the amount of fish in each taco. The fish was very well made and had that piping hot succulent appeal. It was well seasoned too and tasted great, but like I said, more fish would of been nice. The chopped tomatoes and cabbage were all fresh and I liked that the cabbage had a good crunch. The default sauce was a light white cream sauce and it paired well with the fish. I also added some of their creamy chipotle sauce which provided more flavor than heat. The smoky chipotle flavor was subtle yet just right. The food truck, situated right off the 805 and on an old abandoned parking lot next to a closed service station. The lady who took my was a sweetheart and hand a good sense of humor. read more

I normally drive down to the other side of Chula Vista for authentic fish tacos. That is no longer the case my friends and I that makes me soooo happy!!!! This truck it right on Telegraph in the corner by the Arco gas station heading North on the 805. Fish tacos are delicious, fish is nice and flaky in the inside and crunchy on the outside. They have a green crema sauce that's really good, plus 6 other options of sauces but the green one really stood out to me. Consome (broth) is great not watered down like the ones I've had before. I like to add lime and salsa so mine. Parking can be a little difficult if it's busy. They're on a corner inside of the gas station so be prepared to circle around about or park in gas. Have been here about two times. Came back today for the third. Today they screwed up my order. I ordered green aguachile. They took forever to bring the order out, which if they made the aguachile there I guess it's okay, but they made it red instead of green. They started to try and make excuses and then offered to give it to me for free if I didn't like it. Taste was good but it only had about 4 pieces of shrimp for $8.00. As I was eating someone that ordered a "to-go" order came back and said he was missing part of his order. I heard the staff argue with him and he said it was the second time it happened. In between all of this I ordered a taco. They put out other peoples orders and seemingly forgot about my taco until I stood up. Also, other patrons around me got the wrong order. Taco came out okay. Not bad, still a little fishy. Oh, also the consome was way too salty. Other people complained about it as well. While traveling back to the highway via Telegraph Canyon Road, I was coincidently craving a fish taco. By pure fate, I found Mariscos Rolex. I'm a huge fan of assorted sauces during any culinary experience, so the first thing that impressed me was the variety of hot sauce available on the table. The girl that took my order was extremely friendly and was willing to answer any questions that I had. However, I knew what I wanted. I went straight for the $1.25 Fish taco, and the $4.50 Marlin taco...both were very flavorful. While we waited for our food, the girl gave us cups of soup that was similar in taste to a Campechana broth. Overall, I would certainly come back. The Marlin taco wasn't very big based on the price, so I would likely order a handful of Fish tacos the next time. I encourage you to try the other seafood items they offer, all look pretty legit. read more

Crispy fried fish tacos for $1.25 and plenty of different hot sauces to be selected from. Always has fresh limes which is rare to come by from roach coaches these days. Eat here often, although, they do get busy sometimes, they are still less crowded than any of the mariscos trucks on Broadway in Chula Vista or in Otay off Main st. Their agua chile verde is one of my favorites and is a must order every time. Want one right now just thinking about it. This food truck is located in a very awkward place right next to a gas station and getting to it can be tricky depending on what direction you're coming from. Parking may be slim as well as getting a seat at one of their many two tables but once the smoke settles and you fight for your spot and receive your food you'll know all your effort was worth it. LOVE the fish and shrimp tacos here! They're cheap and delicious... the only ones that I've had that are better than these are down in Ensenada. There are a couple of tables outside the truck, and a little condiments line you can use to top your tacos off. Whatever the orange-reddish sauce is, definitely needs to go on top of the tacos. read more

So this the 2nd time this truck rip me off! I should have checked my order so shame on me. Last time I ordered to go they gave some old tacos which had must have been laying around for a while. The tortilla was hard and soggy. Today they shorted me 1 Rolex taco. I guess they take advantage of to go orders because when I eat there my orders are correct. The service was terrible. They got our orders wrong. We ordered 6 tacos but only 3 of them came back. We then waited an additional 30 minutes for the rest of our order as we kept on persisting on word on our other orders, but all they did was go back and forth between the cook and the waiter, without any apology whatsoever. Later on, they tired to "fix it" by asking us to order and pay again even though we already paid for the other orders which they lost. Other people who came later on received their orders first. They did not even give us our refund. We have spent an hour at this place. Not satisfied. Would not go back here, they have wasted our time and money. read more
