Definitely recommend the langostinos and zarandeado but service was not it waiters are with bar area more then with actual booths and tables. Ordered a tostada de aguachile with cayo was pure lime no spice at all, tacos marlin were super soggy, and michelada had no flavor. For the price paid it was not worth it. Also waitress was rude when we let her now one of the oyster shot had no oyster and just shrimp she said we are busy and shrugged her arms as if it is our fault. No they weren't that busy.! I was really disappointed with my experience at Las Islas Maria's in Corona. I came in expecting authentic Mexican food, but what we got was far from it. The food honestly tasted horrible and nothing about it felt authentic or well prepared. My family also ordered Micheladas, and there was clearly no alcohol in them. When we asked about it, the lady working there insisted there was and claimed the ice watered it down and the lime was overpowering the taste. That explanation didn't make sense because there was simply no alcohol flavor at all. On top of that, the portions are small for the price. The food isn't worth the cost, the wait, or the overall experience. For what you pay, you'd expect much better quality and flavor. Unfortunately, this place felt like overpriced Mexican food that completely missed the mark. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to overpay for food that isn't enjoyable. read more

This night their was a Vincent Fernandez impersonator. The two hrs we were here this guy was amazing no breaks. I had been craving marlin fish tacos from back home, so I placed my order in hope they were good. I have to say the taste took me back to my moms cooking. The tacos were so good and filling. The order comes with 3 marlin tacos or you can order one À la cart. Far warning if your not into very fishy tasting fish this isn't for you. The fish was very fresh. I rated down on the service. There was a lot of it, but when it doesn't taste amazing the quantity doesn't matter. We ordered raw oysters and they appeared not to be fresh. Only one was eaten and later my family member was sick once we got home! I was hoping there would be more. The cooked shrimp tostada was lacking so much. It was a tostada with about 2 tablespoons of diced cucumber, tomato, and onion all under boiled shrimp...no flavor to the shrimp such a lemon. I ordered a Michilada and was hoping that would redeem this place, but no. It had a lot of juice, but not much beer. I drank almost the whole large mug and not one effect was felt.
