Today I was in the Otay side and didn't want to drive to Tijuana crossing so I looked up a taco place and "El Poblano". First, traffic outside was crazy and if you pull into the parking lot, you will have to back into that crazy traffic. Not great. I wanted one "tripas" taco and one "adobada" taco and had to get into two lines and pay twice. That was odd. Thank goodness there was no line when I got there but after I sat down, there was a decently long line. The meat wasn't bad but the guacamole sauce was not seasoned. Also, they had some radishes but they were not sliced. No carrots and jalapenos in vinegar but they did have some grilled jalapenos. I like the cucumbers and sliced radishes that so many of the good places will offer YET these were expensive. At 45 pesos [$2.65] for the adobada and 70 pesos [$4.38] for the tripas. I was a little surprised because I can get shrimp tacos for that price at another taco place not far from here.

Whether you feel like carne asada or adobada maybe tripa or even suadero, this place has them all. Located in eastern TJ in Fracc. El Bosque by the Boulevard 2000 this place is always full. The owner has 3 locations by this place has the most variety. You should try them all. The tacos are top notch. The quesadillas are huge. The mulas, a quesadilla sandwich will fill you up. Try a crunchy today ads with grilled Oaxacan cheese know as a Vampiro or a Gringa with your favorite meat. Can't decide on which meat to get order a Campechano. It's whatever vessel you prefer with two types of meat. The tortillas are delicious and made right on site. And they give you two per taco. You really can't go wrong with this place.

It's run by a family where the dad is the Master Taco Maker, the wife handles the cash and their 3 kids run around waiting tables, cleaning dishes or heating up tortillas. They make a great team and a great taco. The only food option is beef birria. Trust me, it's all you'll want. You can have tacos, tostadas or a plate. If you order a plate it's all the tortillas you can eat with your order. I prefer the tacos on a fried, crisp tortilla. Then add some of the purple onion with sliced habanero peppers and it's a go. Chase it with a Coke and you'll leave very happy. If you feel adventurous ask for the special. It's a double tortilla taco with salsa in the middle that's fried up with the meat inside. Spicy as hell. This place is closed on Tuesday but opened the rest of the week usually from 8 AM till they run which is usually around 2 PM. 1 PM on Sunday's.
