After reading some of the reviews, it seems like the reviews are skewed by the people who were very upset with their experience. When we arrived, it looked like they were having a karaoke or music night, which made the place feel lively and full of energy. It was a bit noisy, but it added to the fun atmosphere. We sat near the entrance so we could still talk comfortably without the music being too loud. The staff was really kind and helpful, and most of them primarily spoke Spanish, which made the experience feel even more authentic. The restaurant itself isn't fancy or high class, but it has a warm, casual vibe that makes you feel welcome. At first, the prices seemed a bit steep, but once the food arrived, it was easy to see why. The portions were huge, and everything tasted great. I'm not sure what they do to their rice and beans, but they were some of the best I've ever had. The carne asada had a nice char and was full of flavor. Overall, this place really surprised me. This is our absolutely favorite place to eat! We are there almost every Sunday. The employees are so very friendly and accommodating. We are never disappointed!!! He almost always gets the Molcajete de Mariscos (crab, shrimp, octopus & abalone) and this time I ordered the Filete Relleno (white fish covered in crab, shrimp, octopus & abalone with onions and peppers in a red sauce). Although this restaurant has been in business for as long as I can remember, it is only recently that I began to hear great things about their food. The family and I wanted some menudo so we stopped by to see what the fuss was all about. The decor is pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant. The waitress was very nice and brought us out some excellent chips- warm and fresh. The salsa was ok, but nothing that I would complain about. We noticed very quickly there was a lady in the dining area making tortillas from scratch, which made me look forward to the meal even more. The food came out and let me tell you, the renewed hype is real. The bowls of menudo were huge and came with all the sides and then some. Remember those homemade tortillas? Those came too... fire! My family also got an asada burrito and a chile relleno, which they spoke very highly of. I'm not sure if the restaurant changed management or got a new cook, but if you haven't been here recently, I highly recommend you give it another go around. If you want awesome Mexican food with homemade corn tortillas, this is the place for you. Where do I start...they followed the Covid restrictions perfectly, very clean, the waitress was awesome, and they had outdoor seating. First off the chips and salsa were amazing, I love spicy salsas and this salsa did not disappoint. The chips were freshly made and they were very tasty. I ordered the Molcajete...this dish came out in a heavy stone bowl with green onions, chiles, strips of beef and chicken marinated and grilled to perfection, it had plump shrimp, with link of chorizo, and Mexican cheese, all simmering in a red sauce. This meal was very good, it also came with rice and beans, and the best homemade corn tortillas, you may ever have. They were not store bought corn tortillas they were homemade, big like flour tortillas. They were thick and melted in your mouth. Just like my grandma made back in the days. Sorry Grandma. I am telling you this place was awesome. Anyways I am coming back to Dinuba to try this place out again. If you don't try it for yourself then that is on you. Food is pretty good but next to no COVID precautions. I was in town for a short outdoors trip and ordered takeout, but it took a really long time (~1 hour for 2 orders of food) because the restaurant was packed and the person working the register was super overwhelmed. A lot of other reviews were saying the food was terrible, but other than iffy texture with some of the meat, I had 3 tacos ($1.99 each) that were pretty good! I came here with high hopes due to all the good reviews I seen on Facebook. Quite frankly I don't understand the big hype. I came here with my family of six and they seat us in a small table, mind you that there was a huge booth open. Sure we fit but it wasn't comfortable. We order our food and it takes about 35 minutes (give or take) for it to be out. Now where I had a big issue was with a kids meal that I ordered. On the menu it said you had your choice of a taco, burger and so on and it came with your choice of rice and beans or French fries and it includes the drink. I ordered a carne asada taco with rice and an "orange juice" for my son. I get the tab and they charge 4.99 for the taco and rice and 3.00 for the "orange juice". So I question my waitress about it and she said horchata and orange juice is a separate charge. What got me so upset was that it wasn't even a legitimate orange juice, the waitress admitted to me it was Sunny D! They're charging 3.00 dollars for what they claim is orange juice when it's Sunny D! Ridiculous!!! I wouldn't even been upset if it was actual orange juice. A whole gallon of crappy sunny d isn't even that much. Besides that my waitress was nice and helpful. The serving of the food was slow. And well the food itself was mediocre. It wasn't anything where you would be dying to come back. I ordered carne asada fries and the meat had a funky taste and smell too. I would say if you'd like to try this place fine but maybe as a last resort. There are way better options for Mexican/Seafood places around here. read more

Second complaint I ordered carne asada plate with rice and beans and my husband ordered tacos with rice and beans. When I started eating the beans I tasted a sour taste so I asked my husband to try the beans he said the same! The beans were spoiled probably sitting out all day!! The food is actually good. I have came to eat here a couple of times. The wet burrito (carne asada or chile verde) are quite delicious. Also the molcajete's are pretty good. The chile verde One had a funny taste to the salsa, idk it could be that it was just that day or maybe it was me. Its funny because I always go with my boyfriend and they try to kiss his ass by bringing refills only to him and not to me. Pointless right?! But funny thing is that usually guys always pay for their girlfriends, well in my case I always like to treat my guy, so therefore I pay and they think by kissing the guys ass that they will get a tip! I have ate here several times and this is such a great place to eat Mexican food. They have live music mariachi band, and some.nights they will have a DJ and someone singing karaoke, so heed the warning that if live music, especially in Spanish is not your thing then this wouldn't be the place to go. The lighting is sometimes dim and night so if you're concerned about the ambience, this could have a party like atmosphere and feel on certain nights. The service is good, the waitresses are nice and accommodating. They have a great selection of seafood and shrimp. The prices are fair. The food is great. I love their fish tacos and their asada fries. It's great Mexican authentic food for a decent price. The interior is remodeled and it looks and feels very modern inside. This particular building usually has restaurants come and go. It has been several businesses throughout the past couple of years, so I really enjoy this restaurant and so do my friends and family. I almost forgot to mention their cheladas are great. I hope to see this place stick around! read more
