Juan and Northview Landscaping were the best landscapers I've ever used, and my experience with…read morethem was amazing. I found Juan to be very personable, great to work with, and extremely attentive to any questions or concerns I had - always responding the same day, if not the same hour. And his team did amazing work: we had fencing, cement, paver and other hardscaping work done, and I was impressed with all of it. In fact, their work was so much better than the landscapers we had used previously that I wish I had known about them beforehand! This next point I wasn't sure I should mention, but had to because it says so much about Juan's work ethic and character. During the removal of some topsoil for the hardscaping, Juan's team hit a pipe which affected the water coming into the house. When notified, Juan dropped everything to personally come and fix the issue himself, making sure to get it fixed before 5 p.m. the same day so we could have water in time for our family's dinner. Honestly, I was beyond impressed. I know mistakes happen -- but seeing Juan so dedicated to making it right was huge, and is the hallmark of someone you want to do business with again and again. Which is to say: Thank you Juan, and team. I really appreciate all your hard work. If I ever have any other landscaping needs, you'll be the first person I'll call.

We had a very good experience working with Northview Landscaping. Our project was large, involving…read morea new paver driveway, new public sidewalk, new turf install, new concrete and paver pathways, new wooden gates and a re-install of a paver patio. The project took a long time with several interruptions due to weather and permitting with the city. For a while it seemed like the sidewalk repair might not happen, but Juan and Freddie were able to work it out with the city and the new sidewalk looks great. Our new paver driveway looks amazing and has given us way more space. The new retaining wall curves around the corner to the street, which was a detail in the design that I really wanted, and they were able to deliver. So far after a few heavy rainstorms everything seems to be draining properly. The plants and landscaping are starting to fill in and I'm hoping that the plants thrive over the summer after some pretty nasty weather the last couple months. Perhaps the best part of the project has turned out to be the backyard where we replaced the grass lawn with turf and had the paver patio re-installed. It looks really nice and the dogs love it. I love that I don't have to spend hours weeding it and worrying about foxtails in dog feet or noses. There is still one step left before completion, since we ended up having to replace our sewer pipe to the street which left a small section of the paver driveway. Overall Northview did great work on a big job with some complicated permitting requirements. They were always respectful, polite and communicative. I'll definitely contact them again for future work and would recommend Northview Landscaping to friends and neighbors.

He explained why the previous patio had sunk and what measures he would take to avoid that from happening again. He is very detailed oriented and takes the time to make everything right. He is very proud in his workmanship. He and his helper were very easy to work with. Cleaned up every day. When there was an unforeseen pipe from the adjacent swimming pool, that ruptured during the pour, Misael took complete responsibility and had an emergency plumber provide a temporary repair. He returned the following day with a pool contractor to permanently fix the problem. 5 STARS for workmanship and integrity.

All vehicles were parked on 3 separate private properties, including a huge dump truck on my property. I went to speak to a supervisor to ask why the owners were not asked about the parking. The supervisor was very polite and said he thought they had, but he wasn't sure. He offered to move the dump truck on my property and I said that was not necessary, I just thought it would have been better to notify the neighbors and I about using the properties. Then a man in a red company car pulled about twenty yards onto my neighbor's property to park in the shade. I told him he should ask first. I later found out this was the owner's son. He was rude, told me "not to worry about it" and that he "was not moving any vehicles". I repeated that I wasn't asking him to move anything, only notify the owners. He then told me twice that he "could get a lot meaner" and that I should just leave him alone. He was rude, patronizing and a bit threatening. A grown man, 40ish. He also called me "dear" twice - not in a kind way at all. I then met the owner of the home and the company. He was professional, listened and apologized for his son. It is a shame when one rude and arrogant person can nearly ruin the image of a whole company.

One thing that really stood out is that they noticed our old driveway had the wrong slope and that the approach up to the front porch was too steep. They corrected the driveway so it now has a proper slope toward the road and added a new step for us -- at no additional cost. That was not something we asked for, but something they caught. Everything was done exactly on schedule and exactly at the agreed price. No surprises. They also worked smoothly with another contractor we had on site at the same time. Before they left, the cleanup was immaculate. Several of our neighbors noticed how nice the driveway was looking. We are very happy with this. Competitive pricing, quality work, and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Rene, Alex, and Navarrete Concrete.
