We take our 8 mo old son to PT every Friday. They left me a message stating that "Ms.R.. is not in…read morethe office today", 2 hours prior to his appointment. Every momma knows it is very challenging to dress yourself with a baby. (I live an hour away from all facilities) so this was very irritating. I had to reschedule one of his appointments I called several times leaving a voicemail to call me back and nothing. I then email the cancel@pillerchilddevelopment.com email and it tells me it doesn't exist. I was then finally able to get in contact with a clerk I asked her if there were any openings with the PT he already sees and she said yes and schedules me. We arrive to his appointment and it was with a totally different PT. During his therapy she talked the entire time and didn't work with him.

We just…read morehad her 6 month eval for her OT and she has met all her goals for the first 6 months and I am so proud! She works with Lenley when we have OT who is fantastic with her and also always has great ideas for home activities to help reach goals! For speech she has improved immensely and everyone around us has noticed how much she has improved in such a short time. My daughter adores attending classes and gets excited, even asks if we can go on weekends. I only give a 4 star rating due to scheduling and office staff. There have been 2 times now that we have been on our way to class and we got a call 10 minutes prior informing us that class was canceled due to lack of personnel. I do completely understand that and that people have to call in some days. However our classes are a few hours after opening, and I have a 45-50 min drive on top of a 3 year old who has a melt down for the rest of the day when we have to leave the parking lot without attending her loved class. So an hour prior at least would be very appreciated. Also the front staff always seem very upset, I've seen them shake their heads at kids being a little excited or roll their eyes and I've only seen one smile maybe once.... It is also very hard to get in touch with anyone. I've in the past tried to call it was very difficult as there is not individual numbers for each location, just one number for the company so that can make it hard for communication. My daughter came down with a fever the morning of one of her classes and I understand the 24 hour notice and have never canceled same day in the past before. But if my daughter wakes up a 102 fever in a pandemic I think it's in the best interest not to attend. I spoke with one guy who then informed me if I canceled same day again he would remove me as a client. I was shocked. This was my first same day cancellation that wasn't canceled by them themselves and we have always had pretty good attendance. We scheduled a make up class and he was just very unpleasant to talk to. I then stressed out since I know how much my daughter loves her classes and they are helping so much not wanting them to be called I decided to call again to make sure she wasn't removed. Thankfully Ben answered and he confirmed we have had great attendance and cleared up what the misunderstanding must have been. So my daughter still had her classes and there was a misinterpretation about the policy for removing a client for a same day cancelation, in my case we were in the clear.

We were still given a full non-adjusted bill despite the detrimental service. I should have removed my child from here at this point, but unfortunately believed them that things would be corrected. Our second SLPA was good. She was kind, patient, and tried her best, which was nice for our child. The issue is the actual SLP was never around and not involved in the care of our child. In about a year and a half of coming to this location, we saw the actual SLP once. The SLP is responsible for creating the therapy plan and making adjustments as needed, they also are responsible for having 10% direct and 10% indirect supervision on the SLPA (which should be documented). None of that happened. Our child had the same care plan the entire time. We had an assessment done at the end of our time which was wildly inaccurate (as determined by 2 other SLPs) where we were told our child was performing at a lower percentile than when we first brought him. Overall, the people are nice. The SLPA did her best with the limited resources available, but I cannot recommend this place. Side note, their billing was very lagged. We would gets bills for appointments 3-4 months behind. I did not hold against them as this is not uncommon in healthcare, just annoying.

One of my daughters had worked on the "K" sound for months at a different facility. After the first session here, I saw the improvement and she nailed it by the second session. We have now been attending a few months and I see the outstanding improvement in their speech development and growth. Front desk is very responsive and always available. They supported and encouraged me to attend graduate school and always cheered me on along the way. They have different areas therapists can work in such as in the school setting, home health, and in the clinic and they make every attempt to place a therapist as close to their house as possible. RZT also has great perks such as providing health care, dental, vision, money towards CEUS, and extra opportunities to make earn extra money by supervising (if you're a SLP) or by picking up extra home health clients. It has been a pleasure to work with them and I would have continued working for them if I wasn't moving out of state.

The last few years with the whole pregnancy thing, and new twins has been packed with dr. visits, surgeries, pre ops, post ops, eye appointments.. so many visits!! We have had some good experiences with front offices, but mostly bad. It's probably a 1 out of 10 good experience ratio we are talking here. My experience with the Nelson Pediatric Therapy office was easily the best I have had when dealing with healthcare. Clarysa in Records is who I have coordinated with the most, and she is rad. Super responsive.. calls me, emails me.. She makes sure all my questions are answered. She kicks butt at her job, and my life is a little easier for it. Nelson is blessed to have her, and if the treatment is any reflection of how their front office is run, then I will be satisfied. Also, Wendy with Billing helped me out with some insurance stuff too and she, like Clarysa was on top of it. I will update after we have had therapy.. but so far, this place is excellent.

There is no evidence that this works. What an embarrassment to the establishment.

She was unable to walk, was in constant pain and was using a wheelchair. When her cast came off we attended Foothills and Lindsay started to work with my daughter. At first it was hard. My daughter resisted because of the nerve pain around her ankle. Lindsay was understanding but encouraging and she didn't let my kid slack. She set goals for my daughter, she asked questions and got to know her. Lindsay used all of her knowledge and explained things in a way my daughter could understand. My daughter finally got why she was being challenged, and she decided to want to be active in her recovery insted of fighting it because of the pain. Lindsay was great at finding ways to get Lena to allow her to touch her ankle, and in the pain she was in that was a big deal! Linsay has a way of listening to her, acknowledging her but still finding a way to encourage Lena to try. Lena loves Lindsay, she looks forward to her PT. In few months Lena went from wheelchair to crutches. Carlos worked with her and he got her to move by being creative, and playing balloon toss! Lena started putting weight on her foot becauseof that game...then a few more weeks of PT she allowed us to put on her brace. The first time she walked with Lindsay I cried, because it had been so long in that wheelchair and I was relieved that they were able to help her. She's getting better everyday. Now she's walking and doing lunges and jumping, balancing, pushups, dancing! She wears her brace, but soon she will be back to normal with no brace. Thanks to Lindsay, Carlos, Daniel, and the rest of the staff that is so fun and friendly. From the reception staff, to all the therapists. All are welcoming and they care. I paid almost $300 for an initial assessment. I waited painfully in the waiting room seeing the staff talking amongst themselves while they were doing treatments. One staff member was using the patient machines. My assigned physical therapist finally came to greet me 20 minutes after my appointment start time. He looked me over for about 5 minutes then put me onto exercises. The whole time I was doing them, he was talking personal patient information with another staff member right in front of me. He wandered around chattering with the other staff. Not paying any attention to me to see if I was doing my exercises correctly or needed guidance. Even while he was massaging my back I could see him gesturing to another staff member while I was talking to him. I paid good money to come get one on one care to improve my acute back pain, to only receive the complete opposite. I ended up canceling all my future appointments to go to a different facility. The receptionist was so kind when I called to cancel that I didn't have the heart to tell her the real reason I didn't want to return. I was going to let it be. Then I received an additional bill stating I owed more money for that absolutely terrible assessment! I couldn't believe it. It saddens me to see that this is an acceptable level of care and service at this facility by licensed practitioners. I hope the managers see this and try to improve for any future pain suffers that may come to your facility.
