While this after school camp is chaotic and loud and messy, it allows kids to let go and be themselves. And if they need a quiet space to do homework, it is provided in the "homework room" Another huge plus is that Andrews camps has thought of everything as far as making it easy, convenient and affordable for working parents, which is a rare find in Marin (what's up with some camps only offering 9am-3pm hours with no extended care? Not really a solution for working parents!) They offer shuttles that will pick up your kid from school, great hours that work for pretty much any family (7:00pm latest pick up time) and will even escort your kid to gymnastics class next door at The Cave if they are enrolled. They have something for every kid, computer learning games, legos, arts and crafts, trampoline, slide, dance parties and karaoke. The staff are very nice and helpful. Their pricing is SUPER reasonable and flexible (you can sign up for unlimited or pay hourly, whichever makes the most sense for your schedule) I am very happy that we found Andrews Camps, my daughter loves it and it has relieved a ton of stress for our working parent household.

I called and emailed multiple times to request the photos; eventually I finally got a hold of him and he very graciously agreed to email them to me; hurrah! Unfortunately, the email never came. After a few days I texted him to see if he had sent the email; he had not but assured me that he would be sure to email them later that night. Again, the email did not come. Since then I have emailed, called, and texted multiple times. I have been trying to contact him for these photos for nearly half a year now; I have been nothing but polite but still no pictures. All I want is my pictures and he refuses to give them to me or to respond to any attempt to contact him.

I did a lot of research into ballet…read moreschools and this one was my pick because it's the most developmentally appropriate for toddlers and preschoolers. Ballet positions and moves are taught through imitating animals, talking about food, and story telling, and props are used to keep little hands from flailing about. My daughter loves the aesthetic of this school. Everything is pretty and pastel (even the hand soap in the bathroom is pink!) and her teacher is always well-presented in dance attire. She also loves the warm up butterfly dance and practices that the most at home!

We love this…read moreschool a lot. -2 stars because it's become clear to us that none of the teachers are willing to maintain a respectful environment for little dancers to learn. The teachers are all very positive all the time (lovely! yes nurturing teaching!) but they all pretend not to notice when a child or several children (not babies or toddlers) are completely ruining a class by screaming, throwing themselves on the floor, or leaving every couple of minutes for a sip of water. The distractions are endless sometimes. This is a huge shame for kids who actually want to hear their teacher and be present in the dance classroom. Some kids have a hard time focussing when other students are cutting off the teacher non-stop. The teachers also fail to shut down loud conversations in the waiting area. Adults and other children watching the classes all too frequently talk loudly, eat loud snacks, run around wildly, or cry (baby and toddler siblings). The culture at this school is so fake positive that it ignores how stressful it can be for parents who want to watch their children dance and, most importantly, for kids whose learning is constantly interrupted by loud people in the waiting area. There is a nice space outside at the front of the school for people to excuse themselves, but the rudest people rarely do, and the teachers NEVER ask them to take a moment outside. Please PLEASE fix this problem so we can continue loving this school and recommending it to all of our friends with young children. My child has taken class from almost every teacher here, and we really do love it, but this is a problem that will likely send us to another school in the not too distant future if it's not resolved.

Her color photos are so vibrant and full of life, while her black-and-white images feel timeless and emotional. What I especially love is that Shannon has been great for us at every age. She managed to get gorgeous photos even when my kids were 2 and 3 (and totally wild)-- and now that they're 11 and 12 and on the edge of being grumpy teens who hate posing for photos, she still manages to get amazing shots.
