Had a leak in roof. I called Mario and he came out to look at it. I was rest assured that he could repair it and would undoubtedly guarantee his work. I also brought up that I needed a pocket door installed, which I already had purchased, and he said that he had experience doing that and could do that as well. I agreed to pay him cash only for the job. More than what the job was worth, but I needed it done and done correctly which he assured me that it would be no problem. The job was scheduled and he mentioned that he'd have two crews showing up. Not sure how many is in a crew, but okay? They showed up on the scheduled day. He had them on the roof in no time. After assessing the situation, he asked if I could go to town to pick up some plywood for the crew! I happen to have some extra laying around and they were able to use it as I only own a car and not a truck. I'd have no way of picking sheets of plywood up! For the money I was paying, I was very surprised that I had to supply material at all for the roof! They were done on the roof in a couple of hours at most and then were able to focus on the pocket door. It shouldn't have taken more than 2 people to install a simple pocket door, but 3-4 of them approached the job scratching their heads at first with maybe one of them being somewhat familiar with what had to be done. I really wasn't sure as they weren't speaking English. I was just going by expressions and gestures. Besides the 3-4 of them, there were a few others just hanging out in my bedroom. One of them, I think Mario, brought their 9yr old son who now after about 3hours into the job was bored silly. He and and another were just playing in my bedroom while the few others were scratching their heads figuring it out as they went as a couple of others waited outside playing with their phones. Quite a few on my payroll to just be standing around doing nothing. I did have to run to the store to pick up more supplies needed for the door. I didn't mind that so much as I agreed to supply the necessary supplies for the door to be installed. They put a big hole on the opposite side of the wall of the pocket door. Luckily for me, and them, I know drywall repair and taping which was no big deal for me to fix. When all was said and done, I paid the excessive price, as I was assured again the guarantee that the roof repair would be good and that he'd come back if not.
Now a few months later, I have water coming in the same area as before. As we've been in a drought since and have had rain recently I've texted several times with no replies. Total scam artist. I ultimately called and the phone was disconnected. Buyer beware. If there were negative stars, I'd be giving them. This outfit gives a bad name to those honest hard working and knowledgeable workers out there who stand behind their work. read more
