They were nice on the phone, stated they would charge us a tech call fee to come out and determine what the issue was which is understandable. They stated after they figure out what the problem is, they would apply the $125 service call to the bill if we moved forward with the repairs. After the service guy came out, which he was very nice and knowledgeable, he stated it was the 2 small switches in front and our transformer underneath. Stated it was $680 - $125 for everything. We agreed but they stated they had to order the parts and they would come back the following week around Tuesday. Tuesday came and we did not hear from them. I called them on Wednesday and they stated the parts came in and would have someone call me. Again, another day went by and no one called. I had to call back in where they told me they could not come out until Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week and would put us on the 1st stop at 8am. We scheduled for Tuesday. 8:20am came by and no word. I called and asked if someone was coming and the lady stated the service guy had to stop by the parts store to pickup the parts and then would head our way. The guy finally showed up at 8:45am. Mind you, I was advised the previous week by 2 people the parts were in and they already had them on hand. After the service guy installed the 2 switches which took about 10 -15 min, he started on the transformer. After we swapped out the transformer, he proceeded to advise us that it was not the transformer but most likely something with the internal wiring and they would have to pull the built in fridge out and start to tear things apart to find out where the break in the wire was bad. We did not want to spend the money on that. They ended up billing us $400 for 2 switches. I spoke to the manager and he stated they don't charge by the hour, just what the billing time states for the parts. I asked him for a breakdown of labor and parts and he stated they don't do invoices that way. I would assume it is THEIR way of covering all the labor they did on our fridge for something that did not need to be replaced which they misdiagnosed from the beginning. Now, here comes more horrible service: I looked under the fridge to see how things were put back as I had a bad feeling after what they did on the above. The service guy only put 1 screw back on to hold the cover plate. He did not put the other 2 screws on. After I took the cover plate off, the service guy did not put the transformer cover back on as well. He shoved it back under the fridge and put all the screws under the fridge laying on the ground. Every time you call this place, they asked you how they can put a smile on your face. What a joke. I would never use this company nor recommend them. They did not finish the job and wasted our time/money.

Power went out, thought it was an outage with SRP. Found out that my main breaker tripped. Fearing the worst, gave these guys a call and he came out early Sunday morning and tested my a/c. Only 120v was coming from the double pole breaker (should be 240v). Everything with the a/c was fine. Popped the breaker out and put it back in firmly and everything worked fine! My house was built in the 60's so electrical maintenance is on the horizon. My unit is only 5 years old and now I know that if any issues continue, it's an electrical problem not an hvac problem. Thank you

They come out twice a year, and make sure my AC and furnace are running the way they should so that I can prove to my home warranty that I have done 'seasonal maintenance'. Any time I do need repairs done through my home warranty, I'll be requesting that Air Repair gets the contract. I will definitely get the 5 year coverage again when this one runs out. I called ACE, and Stuart was at my house within 25 minutes. Stuart took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I thoroughly understood my options. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Unfortunately, my entire unit needed to be replaced, but Stuart was able to schedule the installation for the very next day. On Monday, Nate was at my house first thing in the morning. He was also very professional and took the time to explain what to expect throughout the process. He kept me informed and communicated with me the entire time. I was back in my house with working AC by early afternoon. What was a pretty costly and unfortunate experience was made much better by having the privilege of working with guys like Stuart and Nate. Before making a decision, a friend recommended Hero AC & Heat. Sam and Victor came out, thoroughly evaluated the system, and clearly explained why the house cooled unevenly and how it could be fixed. Their proposal offered the best value by far. They installed a new 5-ton unit in a better location and redesigned the ductwork for balanced airflow. With the Nest thermostat and remote sensors, every area of the house now stays within 1 degree of the main thermostat. Our home has never been this comfortable, and our summer electric bill dropped by about 20%. I can't recommend Hero AC & Heat enough! I contacted hero based on their reviews & I was not disappointed. I was able to schedule an app within the week & Thomas the tech came by & was able to give me an honest opinion on my unit. It was low on coolant & I had a leak up in the attic that thankfully did not travel and damage the house. Since my unit was old they no longer make coolant for it & parts would have been just as much to replace as a brand new unit. So I opted for a new unit, didn't feel any pressure by them & the next day I was happy that they came and installed it in less than 3 hours.
