It's been 228 days since my kids went on their last sleepover. EEK. They see family not often,…read morefriends even less and are doing school over a computer screen! This 'new normal' had to have some semblance of actual, pre-pandemic normal for my 1st grade daughter so I scoured the interwebs for a virtual dance option. Alas, National Dance Academy! They're affordable ($25 a month). They offer multiple classes -- ranging from jazz, hip hop, ballet to tap-- for different ages, three days a week. National Dance Academy event sent a care package to Cora! (She, like everyone, loves happy mail. It's the small things folks.) I also adore NDA includes fun spirit days, like Unicorn Day, for participants to look forward to. Our very first class experience was not the best, I'll be honest. They had an in-person class via Zoom for at-home kiddos to follow along with. It was hard to see/hear and I had to explain to my daughter why she was at home while other girls got to be there in person. BUT. They reevaluated the class and the very next one-- the virtual class had their own instructor alone in the studio giving all her attention to her at-home dancers! WTG NDA, I adore your attention to detail and striving to make dancing fun for all families during this insane time! Anyways. I have nothing but good things to say about NDA. My daughter looks forward to each and every Wednesday night now. She feels like she has one 'normal' thing going on, finally. They're enrolling now for the next virtual session. I without a doubt recommend this dance option!
