From your child's first class to their senior solo, The Pointe has a class for everyone! We have opportunities for beginners of all ages and offer training through advanced levels in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip hop! The Pointe School of Dance is committed to quality technical dance instruction in a positive, encouraging environment. At The Pointe, we are MORE Than Just Great Dancing! Our dancers go beyond technique to develop important life skills: learning to be respectful, confident, and hard-working young people who share their gifts and talents with the community. Our dedicated staff ensures that each dancer that comes through our doors benefits immensely from their dance education.

History
Established in 1990.
The Pointe School of Dance (formerly Donna's Dance Place) has been providing technical dance instruction to students of all ages for over 25 years.
In 2016, with a new owner and new name, we're excited to bring new programs and offerings to the area!

Meet the Business Owner: Vanessa T.
Vanessa has been dancing since the age of three. She has training in all styles of dance, and earned a B.A. in Dance and Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Iowa in 2010. Vanessa has taught dance throughout Eastern Iowa - her teaching experience includes dance studios, pre-professional ballet classes, and non-profit after school and community programs. She directs the Company at The Pointe and teaches and choreographs for all ages and styles. Vanessa has won multiple Best Choreography awards at dance competitions, and has choreographed for school and community groups including show choirs, color guards, and theatre productions. Her biggest goal is to share the physical, artistic, and emotional benefits of a quality dance education with as many students as she can.
