Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this location at this time due to its extremely limited availability. Being open only one day a week from 10 AM to 2 PM makes it very difficult for many people, especially those of us who work retail or have weekend schedules, to ever visit. It ends up feeling more like a missed opportunity than a true community resource. I understand this is a volunteer-based program, and I respect the effort that goes into it. However, expanding the hours--even slightly, such as offering more days or extending to a full-day schedule--would make a huge difference in accessibility. I hope to see this location grow and become more available in the future, because the concept itself is truly valuable.

In person window #3 politely stated they could not answer the question and called the supervisor. I was told I need to talk to the Assessor's office and when I stated they referred me here it got ugly. My repeated questions and responses were apparently out of the 'supervisors' area of knowledge, they got angry and ordered me to leave. Later I called to speak to the Collector's office Manager. Very hostile but said she would look into the matter and call me back with the correct department. She called me back and stated there is no record of me speaking to the Assessor's office and inferred I must be lying, and can't help me. Suggested "Possibly a legal matter" Sincerely, a disrespected Senior citizen, Veteran and neighbor. "Mobile home owners are paying a tax meant to replace ad valorem taxes while also paying those same taxes through rent. Clearly, that was never the intent." Said Tax Collector Jordan. laketax.com

I felt sick as I remember belatedly, that the speed limit was 25mph!!..which had surprised me one day when I noticed how low it was...ANYHOW. This lady police officer, I think her name was Rodriguez...stood on the passenger side of my truck and I gently reached for my registration/insurance above my sun visor and then looked at her and said "I am getting my drivers license out of my left front pocket"..and she thought I said "I was HOT"..which meant I had a gun....instead of getting ALL EXCITED..like some cops on YouTube, she calmly said "if you are carrying its no BIG DEAL, I would just ask you to stand out of the car"..just like that...no PANIC...." Imagine that..? And she took my license calmly as Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry, said politely "give me a moment please" and went into her cruiser...checked me out. Reminded me that the speed fine for 36 mph in a 25mph was $200 some odd Bucks!!! Wished me well,....smiled broadly and pulled the next guy over....she let me go!!! So, what is my point? WE NEED MORE police officers like this!!! Thanks so much for doing a stand up professional job, reminding me of the law, being polite and earning my RESPECT.

I have also experienced better costumer service at this location, but you have to be sure to call beforehand or go on their website and make sure you bring everything you need with you. When I renewed my license I had to bring multiple vital stat records and my first born to prove I was who I said I was. People who didn't do their homework got turned away, not the least happy about it.

I…read moreneeded to mail a document and had no stamps or envelopes with me in the RV and was trying to avoid buying a box of envelopes and a book of stamps being I have a sufficient amount at home. The entrance and exit at this location can be a little challenging being it's close proximity to a major intersection and the traffic backs up blocking the driveway. Well once I over came that I was faced with quite the line inside with only one employee working and a very upset customer giving her the many many reasons she was disappointed with her mail delivery - I gotta hand it to the patience's of the employee, she was very professional and empathetic and explained the protocols and encouraged the customer to follow the correct channels to resolve her issues and thanked her for stopping in and got her to leave so the rest of us could conduct our business - she got my pre-stamped envelope and told me just to walk up without waiting again once I filled out the addresses and she would take care of it. This was a much better experience than I'm used to - I don't like the price it cost to ship anything using the USPS but I guess with all their problems it's still a necessary evil...
