All Libraries only allow residents to have a card and you need proof of residency. This has been policy since libraries have started and in all cities. Nothing new here.I use my Dad's card. Information regarding pricing or what was in stock was impossible to find so I had to go and check it out first hand. I was greeted upon immediately walking in. This place is way bigger than I thought it would be. I started browsing the book shelves that were in front and worked my way back towards the store. I only looked through the fiction section but noticed a huge selection of other genres like Sci Fi and Adult Romance. There was also a children's section in the back. Walking towards the front of the store, there were shelves with DVDs as well. In the middle of the store, there's a little lounge section with comfortable chairs and tables to read at. I was carrying several books so I decided to grab a shopping basket. They have the cool ones that have wheels and suitcase like handles. I finally made my way to the register and chatted with the employee. She asked if I found everything i was looking for, to which I did not. She offered to look up titles I wanted and even though they did not have any in the store, she offered to put my information in the system if those books do show up. I purchased 6 books and paid almost $20. Not horrible but I thought for sure it would be cheaper. They have a buy back program, where you receive store credits but I forgot to inquire about the details. Of course I will be back!

I really appreciate the idea behind the Friends of the Library in Belleview--offering discounted…read morebooks is a wonderful resource for the community. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this location at this time due to its extremely limited availability. Being open only one day a week from 10 AM to 2 PM makes it very difficult for many people, especially those of us who work retail or have weekend schedules, to ever visit. It ends up feeling more like a missed opportunity than a true community resource. I understand this is a volunteer-based program, and I respect the effort that goes into it. However, expanding the hours--even slightly, such as offering more days or extending to a full-day schedule--would make a huge difference in accessibility. I hope to see this location grow and become more available in the future, because the concept itself is truly valuable.

I was able to find one near the garage.It looked to be free parking, so that's always good. I did not know whether the garage cost extra, but I did see some parking areas that had a cost. I saw the main square with the gazebo, and looks like there were people hanging over there. There are lots of horse statues with artwork painted, and signs displaying the descriptions. And since they were artwork, there was definitely no mounting on the sculpture allowed! There are many nice restaurants, including Brick City Southern Kitchen and Harrys Seafood. There is also a theater, but I didn't go inside. Downtown Ocala looks to be pretty safe and welcoming. I should visit again during the day time and see if there are farmers markets as well. But definitely I will come back for the great restaurants over there. I just wish parking was easier. Overall: B
