This was my second time to Mario & Franks 1. I had pizza the first time and this last time, I ordered the Greek Salad. The pizza was not memorable but okay. My salad was huge and to their credit, there was no upcharge for the anchovies. I do wish that they had used fresh green and red peppers, and not canned black olives. The dressing that came with it lacked flavor. The restaurant is really old and a bit small. My service was very good. Time to stat-pat. Both Mario and Frank know what they doing. I'm glad they got together because their pizza I think is really solid. Crust is always crunchier than the sock in my drawer (I'm so sorry and I'm joking, can a college guy have a lil bit of fun?). Their cheese steaks... if I was a woman and my husband came home with a 2 foot long meat stuff bread with perfectly melted cheese and tasty mushrooms, I'd literally start barking then and there. Their garlic knots are also really tasty, although me careful - they can be a lil knotty sometimes (once again I'm so sorry). Anyway, go here genuinely garlic knots are really good, I kid you knot. I love the food. Creepy delivery driver for women. I like this restaurant's food very much. The wait staff and people at counter are nice. I have stopped patronizing for only one reason. A few months ago, I got food delivered, exchanged a few words with driver as always, and within a half hour he was texting me to talk. I did not give him my number or ask him to contact me so I guess he took off the receipt. This was creepy since my boyfriend was gone for the weekend and I got scared since he was just sat my house. So I don't call them anymore. What convinced me to put this review down was that my neighbor says she experienced the same thing. We both still had the original texts before we blocked. Same phone number. This is super creepy. Only have your boyfriend or husband get the food at the door. This guy is taking women's numbers and contacting them. So wrong. Got a buffalo chicken pizza and when we picked it up it had grease soaked through the pizza and the entire box. We were told that it's greasy because it sat on top of the oven. Ordered a tiramisu with it and that was also sitting on top of the oven in the bag with the hot food. read more

Negative 5 stars. We will NEVER order from Mario & Franks EVER again. They told us 45 minutes. We still didn't receive our food an hour and 10 minutes later. We called and they said the driver had multiple stops. We waited 15 more minutes and still didn't receive our food. I called back they put me on hold then came back and stated they can't get ahold of the driver. They asked if they could call us back. 20 minutes minutes went by with no return call. I called one more time and they said the driver dropped it on our door step because they knocked multiple times and called and no one answered. I said that's not possible, we have a Ring spotlight and a doorbell. I checked my camera and my phone and no one came on the street and no one called. We said we wanted our money returned and then he blamed it on us and literally said "This is your fault not mine." He said we gave the wrong phone number then said we gave the wrong address. We've been treated like this before by them and stop going for a while. We decided to give them another try and we wish we didn't. Do yourself a favor and don't order from there. Mario and Franks is the definition of a mediocre, small town pizzeria that only manages to get away with their substandard service and quality because of the relative lack of competition in the area. I want everyone to ask yourself if this is normal for any business anywhere else in the world: 1. Ridiculously long wait times (between an hour to 90 minutes) just for delivery. It doesn't really matter when you order. It'll never come timely. 2. Think it'll be quicker picking stuff up? I've ordered here for years and every time I've done pickup I've had to wait basically the full length of time inside the store. If they said it'll take 40 minutes for a medium pizza to be made, I'll show up 50 minutes later and still have to wait. It's clear they don't start making the food for pickup until someone arrives. 3. Don't bother trying to get any substitutions. Want curly fries instead of the regular fries? They'll tell you they can substitute and then just give you regular fries. Want no mushrooms with that pasta dish? Too bad. They'll tell you they can do it and then won't. 4. Let's talk about quality. If anyone is being completely honest with themselves, this place is the definition of mediocre. Fries are always soggy, never are crispy. Mozzarella sticks taste like they were microwaved. The pizza is inconsistent. Sometimes it is good, most of the time it's eh. The service here is beyond bad. When they can't do simple substitutions right, don't timely deliver, don't timely make food for in person pickup, constantly give soggy fries and other poor quality food, then does this place really respect their customers at all? Of course not. They don't have any respect for the customer. And they clearly don't respect the idea of making decent food. read more

They have the Greatest crust on a pizza, and that says alot about a place...and this place is just that. The Sicilian pies are awesome also. Thick and fluffy and toppings galore! Fantastic wings, BBQ or hot, as well as the mozzarella sticks. The steak subs where overstuffed and the great big dinners where flavorful and tastey. Eat in, take out, and they even have delivery! they are terrible at estimating the time food will be ready. I was told food would be ready in 35-40 min. After arriving to pick up food 40 min later I was told just 10 more minutes. The food was not ready till 45 additional minutes. This was the third order in a row that was over 30 min. late. When I voiced my disappointment to management they didn't seem to care even at the idea of loosing a long-standing(15 years) very regular (weekly) customer. While I love to support local during these difficult times, I would appreciate the support too. I ordered a meal one time and was fine. I came in and had dinner here in April 2021 and the service was super slow and sporatic. Was told had no bread plates washed and ready, no glasses for drinks and our food was slow and average. I requested on Mother's Day 2021 to order our dinner here for 10 people. We called the order in at 3:05 PM and the person answering the phone was young and not well versed on the menu. No worries. Hard to find help right now. After I completed the order, he said 45mins. I said no rush and actually would like to pick up at 5pm. He said great. That works. I also requested he use my CC info and asked him to add a $20 tip. So the meals were prepaid and total was approx. 150$ and added a generous tip of $20. We arrived at 5:03pm and was told 5mins. 5 mins. turned into another 45 mins. We finally got the order at 5:45pm and when i loaded in my car and checked, I noticed the entire pizza we oredered as missing. I went back in and told them and said oh ok, and gave me the pie and said here are some rolls for the aggravation???? Rolls. First of all, the service stunk, the gentleman Vinnie treated my daughter who first went in with snotty attitude, eye rolls and more excuses to wait and its coming. I understand they were busy but chose taking way to many orders and not meeting the expectations for anyone on my special day. I typically use Mangia's in Bordentown and Villa Mannino's in Bordentown. I was trying to spread the support and will say this. 3 strikes your done. I have to give this Pizzeria & Restaurant a 5-star rating. Not only was the pizza some of the best that I've ever tasted; but the cheesesteaks, Hoagies, and french fries were equally as good! Husband got meat lovers pizza, it was huge and looked amazing...he loved it. I got fish and chips, the fish was frozen not fresh. I could have gotten the same thing actually better if I went to the grocery store and bought some Gordon's frozen filets. Food is delicious. Entrees and sandwiches are usually better than pizza. Pizza dough never seems to be fully cooked!
