Firstly, The biggest pro of these apartments is 100% that the office and maintenance staff are some of the most competent, helpful, and professional group of people there is. Every single inquiry we had was always answered and addressed in record time. No other apartment I've ever lived at expensive or cheap, has had this level of productivity and quality in their office staff. The same goes for the maintenance team. Within 24hrs tops or even sometimes within a few hours, the maintenance crew would come to address any concerns you had big or small and would 9/10 times fix the issue right on the spot unless they didn't have the necessary equipment or replacement parts. The team that runs this place absolutely deserves an award for how timely and effective they are, truly. That being said, it's almost mandatory that an apartment community like this have that level of service because you're not getting a whole lot of other amenities or luxuries here. Granted the rent is very affordable but still. No washer & dryer, no patios or balconies, no AC/central air, only 1 bathroom, no high ceilings, no garages, no multiple parking spots, no public/visitor parking. The biggest gripe with these apartments for me was 100% the parking situation. You're allotted one single parking spot and that's it. If you have any other vehicles you gotta park somewhere on the street or at the trolley station around the corner, which gets old fast. Unfortunately there's not much that the apartments can do about it since there's not really any free space around them to create a new parking structure or lot at. It's also very inconvenient having to go far distances for your mail and to do laundry on site unless you happen to get a unit right next to those areas. While the apartments themselves are very old and outdated, the ownership does their very best to keep the apartments as updated and modern where they can. All apartments have hardwood or simulated wood flooring, all apartments have new updated modern windows, light fixtures, and ceiling fans, nice clean bright bathrooms, fresh bright paint and new utilities upon moving in most of the time. Overall for being a basic living dwelling at a reasonable price , the community/management there really couldn't do anything better and for that they get a 5 star rating from me.

My car had the tags ripped off someone stole them in the parking lot here and they told me I had to remove my car from the parking lot I wasn't allowed to park my spot that I paid for anymore because supposedly I didn't have a registration etc because I seen that tags were off the car something because I didn't even know. A very unsafe area we always have shootings. There was an ambush where two I believe two people got killed there's in one of the apartments a few years back. You can find it on the internet under murder at the Vistans or look under murder at apartments in Chula Vista. They race in front of the apartments down oak lawn. Sorry to be jumping around from subject to subject but there's so much to cover I'm just doing it as it comes to mind. There's always hidden fees add up at the end of the year in December the nail you with it they won't tell you about it the whole year they let it build up. There's a lot of gangs here. They will write you up for having a doormat outside your apartment if it's not up to thier specifications. They're stupid security doesn't come if you call them you literally have to call the police if anything's happening. The security only comes at 10:00 at night to close the laundromats. there's tons of roaches here I'm going to have to show my stuff away because I'm not taking it with me when I leave. They should be held responsible for that these are very old apartments they're built in the 70s they do the typical go to home Depot by the shittiest carpet they have crappiest and they basically temporary fix things from The last tenant and it just falls apart after a month or two of being here. But definitely watch out for the hidden fees I'll get you in the end. OK Google I have kids and everybody got a note on their door last month saying that the children are not allowed to play outside they're not allowed to ride their scooters they're not allowed to play ball basically they can go sit on the grass and that's about it that's about it. Tons of homeless people here. I was at the office paying my rent today I got to listen to a woman that works in the office the extremely rude to somebody on the phone somebody that lives in these apartments. After she got off the phone they sat there and talked bad about the person bad mouth the person and they do this to everybody pretty much. Oh and we had some windows that used to roll out you could roll them out with a lever please be able to catch a cool breeze once in awhile but they changed the windows to double paned which is a double pain in the butt. These apartments have no insulation and my apartment itself got to 102 and stayed like that the entire summer inside and that's not including when we had to cook. It's awful there's no air conditioning. There's no pool anything to help cool you off around here. They have a gang of kids ranges from 9 years old to like 14 that run around here and threaten other kids and beat them up and they pull knives on other kids. My daughter citizen arrested one of them. This is literally upper class projects. These are government ran projects. I'm from talk I'm not sure if this is true or not but he's used to be military barracks. Do your research before you move here and your rent is never exactly what they tell you it's supposed to be they always have some hidden fees so if you're dumb enough to move here make sure you call the office every month and find out how much rent's going to be that month.

Therefore, we ended up breaking our lease and moving to Boardwalk at Millenia! I'll start by mentioning Kelsey, the Assistant Manager. She was absolutely incredible! She made me feel super comfortable from the moment we walked in (prior to the pandemic). I feel like I asked so many questions yet she remained patient and explained everything with such calmness and expertise. I had visited a dozen of offices for two weeks and majority of the times we came across property managers/leasing assistants that were so arrogant. So thank you Kelsey for being super sweet and giving us such incredible customer service. The property includes many amenities and its walking distance from shopping centers, restaurants, grocery stores, parks, and so much more! Sadly, we were only there for a few months because my husband got sent to a different state for work (for 10 months). And because I didn't want to be alone, I came to live in NC with my family. HOWEVER, I just signed my new lease and we are moving back to Millenia in September! I am beyond excited and I can't wait to be living at such a wonderful place, with my little family again. This time around, I've been helped by Brittany and although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her in person, she's been great over the phone. She projected such an attentive tone while I was asking questions on different units. She quickly helped me begin the process. I can't stress the importance of customer service; Kelsey and Brittany are both incredible! Not going to lie, Boardwalk is a bit on the pricey side but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a luxurious place to live that has a bunch of different places to walk to (or drive to, if you're lazy like me) then go check out Boardwalk at Millenia, you won't regret it!

On one occasion, someone was urinating and defecating in a bucket on the third floor and spilled it in the hallway. When I reported this, management refused to check and told me to call the police myself. Situations like this are common, and management repeatedly claims the property is "open to the public," so their security team can't intervene. That's unacceptable for a residential building where tenants should feel safe. As a service member, I was especially concerned about leaving my wife here alone during deployment. Management offered no support and simply said I was out of luck. They advertise themselves as "military friendly," but allowing lease termination with deployment orders isn't a benefit -- it's required by law. I did go on deployment and received my letter but dealing with them while preparing for deployment was a stressor itself due to their management If you're looking for poor management, inconsistent communication, people screaming at night, little to no security, homeless people and ongoing safety concerns, this is the place. Otherwise, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

The water goes out almost every week and they never notify residents anymore. They used to send notifications before, but suddenly they just stopped communicating. Whenever you try to find the manager, she's never available. Instead of focusing on actual problems and improving the living conditions here, they seem more interested in organizing unnecessary holiday events for kids that nobody asked for and that almost nobody even attends. It feels more like it's done for appearances rather than for the residents. Very disappointing experience.

We love that there are both of my kids schools in walking distance and there's shopping centers less than 5 min away. I love my apartment, it's so big and a beautiful kitchen. However parking is terrible…read more Super crammed spots, and guest parking is in only 1 area of the complex (so put on your walking shoes on) its pretty far. For visiting, they only let you have 2 days max for a vehicle and then you can't use a visitor spot. (you have to put in all information too even a VIN number to register a visitor). They tow pretty quickly and you cannot park by backing in at all. The maintenance takes a week + to fix anything and usually its quick fixes that you need fixed again. Overall the neighborhood is quiet, but if you don't live on the 1st flight, there is no elevator so its a hike. Walking though its not really handicap accessible, no straight path. They advertise a room with pool, but its usually locked when the office is closed, no entry so you can't really use it.

We quickly realized that that privacy was quickly replaced with the very loud traffic noise of the intersection of people honking , bus stop noise and tweakers yelling in the middle of the day and night ! Not to mention people doing burn out / donuts almost every night! And people walking their dogs right in front looking inside our unit not to mention someone jumping inside our patio we did call security and no one came ! Or followed through after. We honestly had SOO MUCH ANXIETY the year in living here!! There was a water leak from the walls in the master bedroom coming from outside that was just PAINTED over , from what I was told from the person in charge it had happened before ,I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure when there is a water leak your supposed to get rid of the water damage and cut off the piece that's damaged to prevent MOLD ?? I asked her about and she REASSURED me it was fine and they were gunna fix it to not worry , all they did was paint over it ! And I'm sure that's how they solve majority of the issues here , living here we'd have constant headaches and congestion all year long ! And lastly the neighbors upstairs!!i understand being on the first floor there will be noise from upstairs here and there ! They took it to another level !! Omg especially at 3 am ! They would stomp soo hard it would wake me out of my sleep ! It sucked more cause I'd have really bad sleep insomnia and it took me soo long to fall asleep and when I did I'd be woken up ! Since I know they are the only people on the side of the building and seen them multiple times using the side of the stairs they always eye my door step especially since we leave our shoes at the door to keep the house from outside dirt I noticed that my shoes were stolen from my front door step , since we moved they I had befriended our front door neighbor or next door neighbor some from upstairs and throughout the complex so I know they would steal used crocs lol until I saw the same person from that unit walk down with the same exact crocs except her heal was stuck out clearly they didn't fit her lol my husband reassure me that those were in fact my crocs with same scratches that I had on mine . It's soo disgusting to thing these people would do that ! Steal used crocs!! Eww it made living there sooo uncomfortable and frustrating we reach out to thee office since our front neighbor had a ring camera and was ready to help out in any way but they never responded unfortunately it was time to move out and left it at that. So must tips ! Noisy traffic! People doing burn outs , a lot of crime in the area , register offenders in the same buildings good to be mindful when having kids ,they paint over everything, noisy upstairs neighbors, stolen property, the area literally always stinks like sewer !! Guest parking will tow away your car even if they're not staying over night !
