Charcoal grills outside in every garden area. The pool gets alot of sun throughout the day and has 3 to 8 ft area. The beach and the best parts of Imperial Beach is about 3 blocks away. Many great restaurants and small shops. Easily walkable and bike friendly. Easy access to the San Diego Bikeway to get to Coronado (i used it to get to work). The manager and staff are great. Approachable and helpful. Maintenance is quick. Scheduled maintenance is posted in advanced and then 24 hours prior.

Maintenance is extremely fast with responding to our service requests. The grounds are always clean and well kept up. Being so close to the ocean is definitely the best feature. We walk to the beach and ride bikes down the estuary trails with our kids. One downside is only having one parking space, but I have never not found street parking.

They cut your lock and then take it. I had over $2,300 worth of tools stolen after I left for a holiday weekend. There's mold in the upstairs bathroom no matter how long I leave the window open. The lease policy states that cats must be indoors and dogs must be on a leash, yet the neighbors seem to think those rules don't apply to them. After complaining, all management does is send out emails -- even though it's a clear violation of the lease agreement. People don't pick up after their pets, which causes other animals to get sick. The rent increases are ridiculous for what you get -- no A/C, no dishwasher, and no in unit laundry. Sure, they remodeled the exterior and installed cameras watching the carports, but they refuse to provide footage when something is stolen. They make you file a police report before they'll even speak to the security company. They claim there's a security guard who patrols at night, but I've lived here for two years and have never seen them. Ants! Ants everywhere, no matter how much you clean. The community washers are constantly broken, and people from the other side of the complex come to use yours because they've figured out how to get free washes and drying. My biggest frustration is the constant car and storage break-ins -- especially when we live right down the road from the sheriff's department. I've had a car stolen, and street parking is horrid, particularly when the school is having a baseball game or the sports complex is hosting events since people seem to think it's okay to park in the apartment lot. On top of all that, there's a constant smell of dirty Tijuana sewage. The only positive thing is the proximity to town and the easy commute to the military bases.

It's the men with blue shirts that go on the golf carts that speak about drama that happens with their work environment instead of helping those in the community where we pay rent but rather more just see us as people who live here which we have to pay extra fees as water, garbage, etc and they make it seem like they don't want to do what they are suppose to do, because i have heard that as well. A big major problem is just that the washers don't work. We can have 10 washers n there's only 3 that work which are very small and don't know when it looks like they'll get fixed, so i've been going to the laundry mat instead since there's really none that work here sadly. I love the apartments, it's just the workers (some not all) should be nicer and have more decency instead of giving looks, and the washers being fixed. If you're wanting peace of mind, reliable staff, security, community, and comfort, I highly recommend Del Oro on Broadway Apartments. Alba has been with us from the start, she's always on top of communication answering all of our questions and concerns. Pete and Ruben are the friendliest grounds keepers and always will help with anything. These apartments are very well maintained, professionally cleaned and sanitized before move in and move out. It's very modern and roomy. Should anything need immediate maintenance they have onsite maintenance there 24/7. That also means if someone trips an alarm or something by accident you won't hear it for hours. Its a very nice gated community with surveillance cameras everywhere and on site patrol at night. The heating and a/c are top notch as well as all the other appliances. We rarely ran into issues but if we did it was fixed super fast. The staff have special events every so often for children as well as free pizza or raffles to win things like full thanksgiving meals, etc. Parking is great theres plenty for cars needing charging stations or cover. The amazon package hub and mail are very secure, easy to use. We had two dogs and it was easy to get them to the designated dog pen. Its all kept very clean! There are so many amazing places nearby to eat and the bay is just up the street! If you're nervous to apply like we were because we had a lot going on at the time that sounded complicated to explain, just try! The staff are very understanding and will try to help you succeed. We are very thankful for the chance we had. There really isn't anything negative to report, we loved this apartment and they were always fair never asking for large increases in rent renewals. They also give plenty of advance notice for fire alarm testing, main hallway carpet cleaning, elevator maintenance, and any in unit quick inspections for yearly fire sprinkler upkeep that is just fast in and out look. Again, I highly recommend living here, it was an easy 3 yrs and we were very comfortable here.

They are all very friendly, professional, and hardworking; they have also gone out of their way to help me a few times which was so nice! The grounds are always kept clean, it's secure and quiet. There is also roaming security at night which is a bonus. The apartments are beautiful and it's really nice to be able to enjoy a pool, jacuzzi, gym, and clubhouse.
