The actual financing is offered through SIPC/FINRA public firm UBS or one of several other top-tier financial institutions with which A.B. Nicholas has partnered for its LeverageLine custom credit line that includes many features specifically designed for their target markets. A.B. Nicholas specializes in this form of financing and has several unique vehicles for different types of securities products. It it cannot accept restricted securities or securities that are part of IRAs, but all other types are usually accepted. Personalized, very friendly and very concerned about the satisfaction of every client I highly recommend A.B. Nicholas.

We were looking for a specialist firm in securities-based credit lines and loan that 1) worked…read moreexclusively with top-tier firms and had established, strong relationships with the right people throughout and 2) Clearly had superior terms and rates for their services. We found that in A. B. Nicholas & Co. No firm came close to them for a combination of personalized attention, best rates, best loan-to-value, and know-how. These guys understand the industry from all ends and have seen both the good and the bad practices out there and can make sure your portfolio gets the best terms in the market. We needed a business expansion loan for our overseas development company and we were able to get the financing we wanted with a top-tier firm where our assets are never sold but remain in a secure SIPC-insured account even as we tap and refill our line at a ridiculous rate of under 2%. HIghly recommended also for speed. Our financing took five days and every element was very professional.

This is a scam, they charge more legal fees, monthly fees, service fees and settlement fees, you…read morewould pay more than the actual amount you own fully at the end of the period. They trap you using the settlement as bait so that you can never opt out when you realize what they are doing. You can reach the same settlements by your own by talking to creditors and you will save thousands of dollars in fees. They will drag it out as long as they possibly can to steal your money. Don't fall for it, i wish I didn't. The 5 star reviews are also fake, posted by them.

Avoid this company at all costs. I've been trying to cancel my account for the past two weeks, and…read moreall I've gotten is the runaround. They keep asking for information about my bankruptcy lawyer, which is completely personal and none of their business--especially after I've already made the decision to terminate my account. They have no authority or say over what I choose to do after ending services with them. One agent in particular, Asa, has been especially unprofessional. While other agents were easier to deal with, he continuously made unnecessary comments, insisting that my legal information is "public record" and that he could look it up himself. If he has that kind of time, that's on him--but it felt invasive and completely out of line. This company lacks follow-through, respect for client privacy, and basic customer service. I wouldn't recommend DebtRx to anyone.

I know there are a lot of one star reviews for this location but I assume it's because borrowers…read moreare having problems repaying loans and they are blaming the branch. I will update my review if I have any problems in the future but I'm almost done paying off my loan. So my actual experiences have been very positive. Every time I call a human answers on the first ring. They are fast to help and answer any questions. I was buying a new house and needed to get my current balance. No problem. Then the underwriter needed it in an email so I called back for an email. No problem. Then the underwriter needed it in an email with specific details on the email. This time my loan officer called to tell them the specific details. Mariner quickly called me to tell me they got a call from the house lender and they can send the email letter direct to me as they won't release to the house lender without authorization. All great. I gave Mariner the go ahead and they sent the email I needed to finish my house purchase. (If you have ever bought a house, stuff like these multiple requests from the underwriter are very common). I just called today to change my address for my new home. Yet again, my call was answered on the first ring and I was greeted by a friendly welcome. The employee quickly took my new address and had my account updated. No problems at all. Always professional and fast. Just realize the type of loan you are buying and make your payments. I'll update if something happens after I pay off my loan but the service has been great.

Stay away from any Mariner Financial Services. I will not due business with any company that uses Mariner for financing ever.
