These days the best you can hope for is somebody who can fake it really good and that's if your lucky. Well yesterday I experienced something I haven't experienced in years. A man named john answered the phone and answered all my questions in detail. Which saved me alot of gas money from having to drive to multiple different stores. He was actually enthusiastic and when I say that I mean genuine enthusiasm. Not that follow protocol and fake your enthusiasm type deal you see now a days and that's if your lucky but actual genuine enthusiasm you only see once every 1 million stores you visit these days. He helped me get everything I needed. I was tempted just to stay there in the store and buy a bunch of things I didn't need because it felt very nostalgic seeing somebody who actually cares about there job especially now a days. I never take my time to do things like this because I don't care because neither do most workers these days but john does and to add icing on top of the cake he never once asked me to leave a good review. Before heading back to Tampa from my recent mini family vacation in Captiva Island, I decided to…read morestop in Fort Myers for a matcha and a little thrifting before I left town. While the thrift shop I found was filled with treasures, when I got in my car to head home, happy with my purchases, I found that my car wouldn't start, and I saw the battery light come on. Well crap, what do I do now? I asked around inside the shop to see if anyone had jumper cables and could help jump my car so I could head to the nearest Hyundai dealer, which was, luckily enough, eight minutes from where I was located. I'm not sure why I hadn't equipped my car with jumper cables, but alas, these are always the moments you realize these things. When you're alone and in an unfamiliar place. Surprisingly, nobody in the shop was able to jump my car, as everyone was in rental cars! What an odd predicament I had found myself in. Before considering a tow, I tried a last ditch effort to call my family who I hoped maybe hadn't left the area to head home just yet. And as luck would have it, they were in Fort Myers grabbing lunch! They also didn't have jumper cables, as they were in a new car, but they picked me up so we could go purchase a battery from the dealer. Just a block into our journey, we spotted Advance Auto Parts (why this hadn't come up in my online search of the area, I'm not sure), and I popped inside and was able to pick up some jumper cables and a battery for my car! They even had several options for the battery, and I opted for one with a four-year warranty. The shop was tidy and easy to navigate, and the service was helpful and efficient. My family and I decided to go jump my car and come back to Advance Auto Parts, as the kind associate said he could help replace the battery for me. Given that it was midday and nearly 100 degrees outside when he changed my battery, I can't express my gratitude enough for this wonderful man's help. He really saved the day and I appreciate that there are still businesses like this out there where people will help when they can. Thank you for being there!

A few years ago Maximum opened up and we gave them a try, and from now on we only get our parts directly from them. We order auto parts from Maximum and Joe (the owner) and his staff are super friendly and know what they're doing. If they don't have the part in stock they can usually get it the same day or the next day delivered directly to you. They're also open to public, I believe you get the same discount but you pay the sales tax. If you need affordable aftermarket body parts, give them a call. Their prices are way more reasonable compared to Advance Auto or even junk yards. Sometimes it is better to buy aftermarket parts than used oem parts. It is 2017, and aftermarket parts are not the same as they were 20 years ago. Many people are skeptical but trust me, you won't even notice any difference in quality or physical appearance. Aftermarket parts industry has really stepped up their game. All body shops that I know rebuild cars using 90% aftermarket parts. LKQ staff is rude and they treat you like you're a piece of ****. I recently drove home from Jacksonville via South I-95 to Fort Pierce and across SR70 to SR27 and…read morethen down through the middle of the state, meandering through small towns before eventually arriving in Fort Myers some 7 hours and 363 miles later. The next morning I discovered that my driver's side headlight on my 93' Chevy Silverado had been broken - most probably from a large truck I'd had to follow the previous day. Now the nice thing about older vehicles is that one can actually work on them. (My rule of thumb is that if you open the hood to any vehicle and you can't see the ground, then your chances of successfully working on them are pretty slim). Anyhow, I figured I could save some money and change the headlight out myself. With a quick Youtube tutorial on headlight changeout on my vehicle make and year, I quickly had the grill off and the headlight out. I took my headlight (assembly and all) to this O'Reilly's where I was helped by a very helpful and knowledgeable employee, Daniel. He quickly looked up my replacement part and stated he didn't have it in stock, but it could be delivered by 4pm that afternoon. That worked for me and while I was at it, I decided to purchase the passenger side headlight assembly also so I would have matching new headlights. I was called later that afternoon by Patrick who stated my headlight assembly was in. I promptly went to their store and picked up the replacement part. Patrick was helpful and friendly. Each headlight assembly was a little over $58 each. I went home, installed both, replaced the grill and everything worked perfectly. I was glad I went ahead and replaced both. I was very pleased with the service and the replacement headlight assemblies. They were easy to install and I figured I saved myself a couple of hundred dollars $$ by doing it myself. The employees I interacted with were very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I certainly recommend them and this place for your automotive needs. Check them out.
