Super friendly waiters and an amazing kitchen make this restaurant a great experience every time you come here. The menu isn't big but it truly has everyone's favorite dishes. Tacos, sopes, enchiladas, mole and many, many more. The key is everything is made fresh daily. The al pastor tacos, green enchiladas, birria and the mole sauce are all incredibly delicious. Try their micheladas and also the spicy margaritas (both super good). The restaurant ambiance is very cozy and inviting. Its simple but nicely decorated. Give it a try.

We showed up around 3pm on a Sunday and waited about 30 minutes, which felt fair once we realized how small and cozy the place is. Seating is limited, so a bit of patience helps. The food delivered--everything was solid--and the service moved along at a nice pace without feeling rushed. The only real headache? Parking. It's pretty tight and can take some circling to snag a spot. All in, a really enjoyable lunch and definitely worth a return visit... maybe just with a parking strategy next time.

I am not typically a fan of corn tortillas (they do not offer flour tortilla as an alternative, so you have to have corn tortillas), but they were honestly delicious. Their tortillas are made in-house, and they definitely stick to the Mexican culture in that aspect. Wednesday nights, they have their margaritas for $10 (which is pretty much half off). I don't know if it is multiple days, but on Wednesday when I went, they told us about it. They have indoor seating and nice, outdoor patio seating. We sat outside since the weather was nice, and it felt a bit more casual outside than inside. Inside seemed more "fancy" and date night. They also had a mariachi band there too which is always fun and a nice touch. The service was great! And, I think they gave us free shots of tequila because no one from our group admitted to ordering them, and I didn't pay the bill. So, I am unsure. However, tequila shots randomly appeared at our table, and we took them.

A very good friend of ours recommended Talavera as she comes here often. We were greeted nicely by…read morethe hostess by the front entrance and we decided to sit indoors to get a feel for the ambiance which was definitely very nice and beautifully decorated. The place was full with the lunch crowd and they all seemed happy. The music was loud but it was soothing music. The outdoor seating is in the Giralda Plaza next to the restaurant and looked very inviting. Next time! Our server was Ana and she was attentive and helpful. My daughter and I decided to share our dishes. We decided to start with the Queso Fundido Poblano and Tortilla Chips with Guac as our appetizers. The chips were crunchy good and the Queso Fundido was good but was burnt around the edges and could have used more cheese. Our main dishes were the Enchiladas Suizas, which were delicious and perfectly made with suiza sauce to emphasize the flavor. Yummy! We also ordered Quesa Birria, which seemed overcooked and the tortillas were too hard. Since this is considered a Mexican restaurant, for a side dish I asked Ana for red refried beans that I love but I received black bean hummus. I explained to the waiter that I didn't order that and described Mexican refried whole red beans to him. He came back with smashed red beans hummus style, similar to the black bean hummus. I ate a couple of bites and had to push it away. I had my daughter taste it and she didn't like it either. It didnt taste like the ones I was used to all my life. Every restaurant is different so we understand. We chose iced house water to drink because it was early in the day. They leave a bottle of it at your table which was nice. They do have a full bar and I would love to try a classic Margarita there one day. For dessert, we ordered the Tres Leches Chocoabuelitas. One bite each was enough for us and we had to leave it, sorry to say because we love chocolate but this was bitter and not smooth to the taste. I don't know what happened to it but it was not edible. We will have to come here another time to try other dishes. We were there on 01/07/26. There is street parking and we parked a short block away. Entrance to the restaurant is ADA approved.

We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Plenty of parking in this strip mall location. Service is excellent, fast, & great choices of tacos & drinks. You can choose from 14 different meats/cuts for your tacos, including birria & al pastor. Bow to the taco! Also gringas, vampiros, & burritos. They have bowls (they're BIG) & brunch. p.s. try the churros with 3 dipping sauces. Drinks are extra special here. The clamato & beer cocktail is very unique. Served in a Tajin rimmed large mug, with lime & a tamarind wrapped straw. Excellante! Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. Closed Mon, Open: Tue, Wed, Thu, & Sun 10am-11pm, Thu & Fri 10am-1am. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY, USA

Having stayed till closing of two music week events the prior to evenings, this was in my mind a great recovery meal. Despite the name, this restaurant is not just Mexican, but actually fusion with Uruguayan cuisine. The main courses focused on that area, and the tacos had a lot of exotica such as ear and tongue. Given my preferences, and my stomach, the only basic options that I would get were there Al Pastor and chicken tacos, five dollars each. The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. When I went to the bathroom, the handle on the door was damaged. Besides that, in the end I was not feeling the place especially that there was a mandatory gratuity.

We were starving and ordered quickly, got our food after just a few short minutes along with two trays of sauces and fixings. The quesabirria was INSANELY delicious, and the tacos were too.
