I'm more than a little surprised by the low rating. I understand that there exist multiple business here and I can only speak to the full service storage offering. My wife and I keep a pair of jet skis with Marina One. The convenience factor enables/motivates us to use them multiple times per week, which means that the utilization factor more than pays for itself. The proximity to the Boca Inlet is a huge plus. Depending on day of week, hour of day, month of year, inter-coastal speed limits vary- but we're never more than ~15~25 min from the ocean. Moreover, the service has been exemplary. The staff are engaging, attentive, helpful, and genuinely make us feel welcome. Never has there been an issue with short notice trailer loads/unloads, dock loads/retrievals. This is a great example of a business where the employees make a difference- something we're extremely appreciative of. We look forward to our visits as a result. Compared to the cost and hassle of having to deal with refueling and trailering skies to/from home/rental space, in my view this service (while not exactly "cheap") offers a fantastic value proposition. We have rented boats at several places but this one has been the best so far. They have a beautiful facility and good boats. The boats are beautiful and clean and have bathrooms. You just have to be back on time. I highly recommend. The dock employees help you load and unload you can buy insurance if you want. Everyone must sign a waiver to get on the boat. read more

I've rented from at least 10 different places and never once had any issues with the staff. Till now. The most unprofessional and rudest experience of a lifetime. I just read a few reviews about "Joe" who claims to own the business. No clue if he does but it would shock me because no good business person would treat a customer in the way he treated us. From him trying to help us get the boat to restart when it broke down that to us having issue when we docked, we were condescendingly spoken to every step of the way. I still handed him a $50 tip and told him to just be patient with people who aren't as experienced as he is. He took my money and then started to yell at me in front of customers and my family, even as I walked away in disbelief. I will be sure to share my awful experience with others offline as well. We had a pleasant family boat outing at Marina One with our daughters and young nieces. The electronic reservation service and waiver signoff system was efficient. When we had questions, Tammy was very friendly and helpful answering our questions returning our calls promptly. Day of check in was very COVID safe with Danielle. Our boat was new, clean, fully fueled and stocked with ice for beverages. Most importantly, Daniel answered all of our questions as this was our first time navigating these local waters. I am amazed that this "Joe" guy continues to be employed by Marina One. This is the second time we've rented a boat there, the first time he was a complete egotistical rude POS but we said hey maybe it was a fluke. We go back today and get into a huge issue with him when returning the boat. One of the people in my party got off the front of the boat before it was fully tied up and he threatened to call the police. We get into a verbal altercation with him and he runs of saying he is getting the police. Keep in mind we spent $1100 on a 6 hour rental and we get treated like that upon returning. We also had kids with us, this guy is unstable and I really can't believe he still works there. We complained to the front desk staff and to the operations manager but I will not return until Joe is gone. How many more bad reviews does this guy need before they fire him? read more

I can't say enough about how grateful I am for the staff at Marina One. They take care of my boat as if it were their own. The ladies in the office are always polite and helpful. The dock staff is AMAZING and is always there to greet me as I back into the slip. The best part is, I got to see how they handle things when there is a mistake made and let me tell you, they go above and beyond to correct the situation immediately! I've been a customer of Marina One for 3 years now. I store my boat there and have used their service department for maintenance and repairs. They are not the cheapest but from my experience you pay for what you get. I've gone with "cheaper" options but ended up paying more due to incompetent, inexperienced techs. If I could give zero stars I would. Beware, bad business practices at boat club and yacht club. It's clear they use the boat club to depreciate assets as there is a clear encumbrance when a member wants to use a boat. They are concerned about hours on the boat and not at all about their customers which matches our experience of being berated and yelled at. We were even lied to several times. Certainly not a business practice that gets you anywhere long term. Joe who runs the docks is a nightmare to deal with as many other reviews also state. Steer clear. While the boats are beautiful, dealing with someone like this has ruined our very short experience with this club. Do your homework before joining. Please do not rent a boat from this establishment. I have never been spoken to like I have today from the manager Joe. I can understand why this company only has 2 stars and their boats are not booked up on a perfectly sunny Florida day. The issue was that me and my husband were both born in 1988 and apparently there is a law similar to jaywalking were you need a boaters license to rent if you are not over 32. Interesting that I saw a child driving a boat in their marina. This man possibly discriminated against us because I am a Latina woman and my boyfriend has long hair and tattoos. We definitely did not look like the other white men in guy Harvey shirts. I'm mostly shocked at how Joe choose to handle this situation. Joe choose to take our money first and then chastise and demean us until we choose to leave. I'm shocked that in 2020, south Florida we are still treating people based on what they look like and I'm sure the business owner would be very angry the manager is ruining business during corona season. We've rented a boat from them previously meaning they've broken the law prior which i am contemplating calling the NSABLA. You got a lot of learning to do joe. read more

I'm an experienced boater. So this is coming from a critical thinking point of view... As in.. take care of my boat as I do. Think like I would expect crew to think while onboard.. These guys get it . I mean they think of things before you get a chance to even comment of a way to "do it better'. I appreciate that. Jason and Pat have a sharp young crew of hard workers taking care of customers (even after hours)... Everyone and anyone there will jump in to assist and make sure you and your guests happy. If someone notices something that needs attn. They call me or let me know when I arrive. While you may wince at having to pay a premium to store your boat. They make it worth it. From fresh towels and iced coolers to your car washed while out fishing for the day. Cold drinks, snacks and Fiji water may make you say "over the top" at first. Maybe so but I appreciate it and my guests do as well. Bottom line is they have set the bar high and deliver a product that takes the hard part of using your boat out of the picture... they make using the boat a pleasure . Thanks to all the staff there for the commitment and continuously making its better. Note about boat rentals.. While I don't rent I have sent friends and watched plenty of first timers come in and out. They treat them and teach them with respect and understanding. Bad business. I stored my boat there this summer so I could travel. The contract states you need to provide 30 day notice of leaving to get security deposit returned. I telephoned in September to request the 30 day notice. They checked my account on the computer and then told me "you're all set. Just call the end of October and you'll be able to get your boat". I called today (Halloween) and was told it needed to be in writing so they will be keeping my deposit. Worst, it was the same woman I talked with both times. No leeway or compromise. They sure don't want my business and won't get it again. read more

Never accommodating. Last call is at 4:15 I call at 4:19 and they say they can't put the boat in. With the prices paid to this place you'd think 4 min wouldn't be a problem. Last time this happened I got put on hold because they were too busy and then it was after 415 and they refused to put my boat in. When they had a fire in our storage area and we had to call in hours in advance it didn't seem to be a problem for them to inconvenience their customers. God forbid they put a boat in four minutes after last call. I can't wait until we have our house on the water so we no longer have to deal with this place. Everybody complains about them but unfortunately it's the only location close to Boça. If you have another option definitely use it. Extraordinarily overpriced for highly questionable work. Claiming my boat's motor issues were related to one thing, charging me for the work, only to reveal the alleged repairs did nothing to address the problem. From there, Marina One unapologetically re-estimated the work at an astronomical price. Upon bringing my boat elsewhere, another mechanic quickly assessed the issue and was able to repair at a fractional cost of Marina One's offensive estimate. Boater's beware! read more

We have been members for about 3 years and love it. Everyone there is so accommodating and polite. Tammy the front desk person who answers the phones is always there to help and bends over backwards to accommodate the members. Joe, the manager of the boat/yacht clubs, is very knowledgable and polite. He doesn't make you feel stupid if you have a question and does a thorough review of the operating systems every time you go out on a new type of boat. I read below someone complaining about Joe and I cannot imagine him being rude. He is so busy but no matter what always manages to be helpful and polite. For example, yesterday we docked eat and were caught in a very bad storm. We called Joe for advice and he dropped everything to look up weather tracking maps and was even able to predict where exactly to go at what time to avoid the storm. So much cleaner, more sophisticated, and accommodating than all the other marinas in South Florida. The atmosphere is swanky and great for entertaining. There are plenty of nice seating areas to wait for guests/hosts to wait for the whole party to arrive. They know each customer by name and make everyone feel very welcome. The employees are always ready to help with a smile. They also have beer and wine for sale which had really come in handy a few times. The building itself is beautiful and extremely safe. Bought a boat with a used engine and took it to their service center for a general tune up-I had heard good things about this place. I took the boat out a few days later and the engine started smoking and died-had to call a tow. Turns out the mechanic replaced the spark plugs with the wrong size. One ended up melting into place and blew out my engine. +$10k down the drain. At least the manager apologized. However, apologies won't pay for a new engine. I'm a full time college student that has been saving up for a long time to buy this boat. I thought I could trust this "professional" service center; guess not. read more

This is absolutely the worst marina I have ever dealt with. They will overcharge you for everything and if you are lucky they will perform half of the work they said they would. Near everyone I know has horror stories about this marina from staff damaging their boats to improper service. This marina has absolutely no respect for their customers and the only reason they are still in business is because waterfront boat storage is in short supply. Maybe it was a sign when the one of the few tornadoes in South Florida swept through and destroyed Marina One in 2004 but left the surrounding areas untouched. My best advice is to go elsewhere with your boat. Oh and by the way, the manager, Jason Cockupmyass is the most miserable person you will ever encounter. I am sure the thought of being "marina manager" for the rest of your life is awfully depressing but don't hate everyone else for your lack of accomplishments. read more

Apparently Marina One Storage and Marina One Service Department are two independently run operations. What I can say is that the Marina One Storage facility is extremely expensive (which is probably why they are the only one with storage still available in a 50 mile radius), but is of very high quality. I had a couple of incidents where my boat had minor damage to it, but I'll never know if that was something that happened on my watch or theirs. They were however, nice enough to repair the steps on my hull damaged by their forklift even though the contract clearly states it's not their responsibility to pay for damage to stepped hulls. The Marina One Service Department on the other hand is one of the worst run operations in any industry, anywhere. Some of my initial experiences were sticker shock, extremely long delays getting work performed, and the complete lack of communication, but that was only the beginning of the bad experiences. After several expensive repairs, 2nd and 3rd opinions (from other more honest repair facilities) later, I realized that Marina One's service department not only stretched the imagination on many of these repairs, they outright guessed (and potentially lied) about what the issues were, at my expense! They never took credit for their mistakes and they made me out to be the bad guy in the process. I don't write reviews often, but their practices go beyond good ethics and make me question the legality of their practices. My advice: RUN! read more

We rented a boat for the day today. 2 couples in our 60's with lots of boating experience. Front desk people were very nice, Boat was very nice. But the guy who brought us down to the boat (Joe) was incredibly rude to my husband when he was giving a brief talk about the boat features. We left and had a great day! When we returned my husband threw him the stern line to tie up and Joe yelled at him for "hitting him in the face" with the line. And then proceeded to say that was the second time my husband had been rude to him - when we first got on and then when we brought it back. My husband is well-mannered, and one of the nicest gentlemen you could ever meet. Joe is an arrogant egotistical rude person. No professionalism, no customer service, no appreciation for the customer. All four of us were horrified at his behavior. Bottom line he turned a beautiful day into a very unpleasant ending. read more

Horrible management. (I am a college student and my father owns his own company so I am very familiar with good business habits.) I went in for a job interview in the winter, clean and dressed as nice as anyone in the place. First of all, the lady at the front desk had a bit of an attitude. Secondly, after my interview the manager told me that he would contact me within the next few days. (I thought the interview went pretty well). I had called various times that week and left messages with no response to this day. Also went there in person to see what the deal was and the manager was "busy". We used to store at Marina One, but then moved into our new home on the water with its own lift. It was working out fine until we had all of this December rain. Turns out that our boat filled with water and bent our lift. The boat was ok with only minor damage,BUT the lift is down for at least a month or two and I don't have bottom paint so back to Marina One it was. Ironically, they have a new program "Marina (all in ) One" LOL that is working out perfectly for us. We basically get to use the marina and the services we would need for a year at a fraction of the cost and we get our fuel discount back! read more
