I'd give 0 starts if I could. This place is terrible. For 2 years I have gone in and asked Dr. J…read morefor a referral for an ENT for my daughter to get her checked since she couldn't breathe through her nose and had severe snoring and sleep apnea. It look 2 year until I snapped and said if she dies from her sleep apnea I was going to sure more negligence. Then and only then was he willing to send a referral for a sleep study, even though I had videos of her snoring and you could clearly hear she couldn't breathe right through her nose. But whatever, it was a step in the right direction. It took forever for me to get a referral that worked- that's a whole nother long irritating experience. But here's the kicker. It look so long for them to send it to somewhere, that by the time we could get an appointment- the referral would be expired and we were back at square one. So I took it upon myself to find someone who would take us as a self referral. Made that appointment all was well. We went to the doctors again Dr. Kahn, I think, For a physical for school. Which included a hearing test- which she didn't pass but they put it off as she couldn't focus enough to do it and brushed it off. The doctor checked her ears and everything else. Said everything was great and sent us on our way. A WEEK later, we went to the ENT- which to my surprise.. she had SO MUCH fluid in her ears and doctor mentioned she probably can't hear well which was caused by the blockage in her nose which confirmed she couldn't breathe through her nose, and confirmed the sleep apnea- without a sleep study. MAGIC. We got her set up to remove the adenoids, tonsils, and insert tubes. After the surgery he mentioned how much fluid and mucus was in her ears. Said it was probably years worth of back up. How did BOTH doctors miss that much fluid if it was that bad? Im baffled that licensed doctors missed diagnosed her like that for so long. Always trust your parental gut- don't let these people fool you there's nothing wrong. After this mess- We will be looking for a new pediatrician. Dr J. And Dr. Kahn. Please reevaluate your practices and take more time actually evaluating your patients.

Dr.T and her nurse responded to my message and gave me a call the very next day when I had concerns for my toddlers fever. (COVID-19 REVIEW)…read more Located inside the 4598 Building, this children's health center is located in Suite #110. There's only ONE main entry into this building. Make sure to wear your masks. My sister and I went here this morning for a physical/check-up. We had to knock on the door, which enabled them to greet us & check our temperatures. They also have us two NEW disposable masks for safe measure. I am really glad they are reinforcing the necessary safety and precautions during this time. Unfortunately, I did not know that the first visit requires the parent to come due to consent forms. However, the lady by the desk (her name was Johanna) insisted it wasn't a major issue and just faxed the forms to my dad. Within 5-10 minutes, my sister was able to get her check-up and all issues were cleared! If it wasn't for their kind assistance and patience, we most likely wouldn't have gotten the physical today. My sister had Dr. Hussain and she was super welcoming. One thing about doctor visits that make us nervous is whether the doctor is comforting / warm, so we were really happy to see someone so kind and cheery! She even had the time to introduce herself to us and get to know us a bit. It was small talk, but throughout the entire visit she was more than open to discuss about anything! We had a pleasant experience here and will definitely be back. Shoutout to the lovely doctors and staff here! (:

Just updating my review:…read more It's been 2 years and 4 months since our daughter was born and Dr. B has been with us phenomenally every step of the way--including through diagnosing our girl with autism. She pushed to make sure we got the referrals we needed and kept herself involved so we had support along the way. We love her so much that we didn't even blink when she opened her own private practice, because even paying a fee out of pocket every month is completely worth it for the level of skill, attention, and care our daughter receives. My kiddo took a header out of the door of our car the other than and landed straight on her face, giving herself an instant goose egg and a scraped face. I was so panicked because, um, first time mom and first time bad injury, and so I immediately called Dr. B. Although I got her answering machine, she called back literally in 1 minute and calmly talked me through it (my kiddo is fine now). Whenever I message her, I know I'll get a prompt response and not wait days. She also checks in frequently to see how your child is doing. She provides a level of care that is unmatched and invaluable. Our kids are our most precious things in this world. Making sure they're healthy and happy and safe is paramount above all else and with Dr. B, you know your family is in great hands. 20/10 would recommend.

I'm not sure if it was someone at the front desk or one of the staff in the back, and later on I was told that others have had issues with this place as well. Just wanted to give a heads up.

I want to share my frustrating experience with the front office at my children's pediatric clinic…read more I had two insurance plans and decided to keep the secondary one. My six-month-old son had to undergo open-heart surgery at a children's hospital in the Bay Area, where there were no issues with his insurance during his stay. Afterward, he had follow-up appointments with his cardiologist, and there were no problems with insurance verification. However, for his pediatrician the office began saying he couldn't be seen for his follow-up due to a lack of insurance coverage. I contacted the insurance company, and they confirmed he was covered. When the insurance called the office, the front desk staff insisted they couldn't rely on what the insurance said over the phone and had to go by their internal system. This was incredibly frustrating. For over a month and a half, I went back and forth with the office and my insurance to get my son seen. After yet another call, I asked to speak with a supervisor. The front desk staff then admitted they had been looking at the information incorrectly and said my son could be seen. I pressed for a supervisor because I felt the situation was unacceptable, especially since it had been over a month since his surgery. The supervisor acknowledged that the office should have listened to the insurance provider and assured me the issue was resolved. However, when I later tried to book an appointment for my daughter, I was informed within 15 minutes that she couldn't be seen due to insurance issues. I explained that I had just navigated this with my son and that the insurance was valid. The staff then mentioned that verification needed to be done for each child separately, adding to the confusion. Overall, the front desk's handling of appointment booking and insurance verification has been unprofessional, unhelpful, and at times rude. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, especially when it comes to my children's health care needs. It's so frustrating when now you have to take your child who is ill and wait in an ER just to be seen when she should of been seen by her pediatrician this office needs to do better

Well, turns out they had "just ran out". We thought okay, this is weird but I guess it can happen. The doctor informed us, our daughter can have the Hep B vaccine on her 2-month visit, along with the other vaccines. We agreed, believing the unfortunate situation to be a fluke and scheduled our daughter for her 2-month appointment. Well we go in for her 2-month appointment, wait approximately one hour, an the nurse informed us the facility had "just ran out" of the vaccine our daughter needs. We were in complete disbelief! We had cleared out our schedules, asked for the day off from work to take our daughter to get her 2-month shots but again we were not able to since they had ran out of the vaccine. Keep in mind this appointment was made a month in advance. I just don't understand how they were not prepared for our appointments, after all that is what an appointment is for. We have received appointment reminders one day before, why not advise us over the phone the vaccines for our daughter will not be available. Instead we both take time off from work, drive 30 minutes and wait one hour to be notified in person by a nurse they have ran out of the vaccines our daughter needs. We addressed the issue and expressed our concerns on these type of situations reoccurring to the Office Manager, Andrea. Andrea informed us these types of situations are common at this facility. I will no longer have my daughter be a patient here & do not recommend Olivewood Pediatrics to others.
