Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. The inside is super cute and clean. It is connected to the Pilot truck stop which you would never expect from the inside. I got Sarso Ka Saag and added paneer (which was a free add on), it was sooo yummy. Kinda like a better palak paneer, they didnt ask about spice level but it was perfect. My boyfriend got a plate with double butter chicken, also delicious and perfect spice level. Tanu was our server and was really kind/attentive. Harry is the pizza chef and came out to give us a sample, we each got a slice of the tandoori masala chicken pizza with made in house ranch. They just launched a pizza menu recently. SO GAS!!!! The girl working over there doesn't listen. She treats customers for granted. When they serve food on tables, they don't give table spoon with appetizers and main course. Today, i order food( 8 garlic naans with roti and daal and sabzi). Naans were burnt out. When we complained there, that same girl didn't answer properly. On the context she said everything is prepared with perfection. And also waiting time is not accurate. She told ua twenty minutes. When we reached thwre, she said more 15 minutes .when we approached again after 15 minutes. She was confused with order and took more than 7 minutes. No accuracy. This restaurant is running mostly because of truckers because they have to stay at the yard and they don't have any option for indian food in late nights. I asked staff about things. A staff member said that they don't pay tips to the staff. When customers give tips. The owner took that by saying you folks are not doing well. So, no tip. The other people there had their food handed to them but we had to go to the cashier to ask for our food because it was taking some time and no one had said anything to us after we had seated. Upon openning the bag one of our plates (which was supposed to have 2 diff curries: punjab and chicken) had only rice and no curries. When i went in there to confront them they didnt apologize and i saw the kitchen staff laughing. She opened the box, paused and said yes. When I got home I knew why she paused. The audacity to given someone rotten spoiled sauce after seeing it is disgusting. Spoiled things will ferment and blow. The food was ok however the customer service was horrible. I walked in and the young lady at the counter had an expressionless face. When I walked up to order I greeted her and did not get any response back. When I asked what she recommended she replied she didn't know. I placed my order and when she gave me my total I made a comment about the total. As I noticed it was kinda of high given what I had ordered. When she reviewed on her screen she made changes and the total had gone down a couple dollars. I felt very uncomfortable at that point. Their dishonesty almost made me cancel my order. We were driving back from big bear and we were looking for a chai place that was on the way, and we found this restaurant. We were not sure why it was 24 hours but we were excited. We headed over to the restaurant and it actually next to the truckers rest stop called Pilot. They have Indian food and chai that tastes like back home. The workers were very nice and helpful. Wow what a great find! Marigold is a new Indian cuisine located right next to the gas station and truck stop but don't let the location fool you, the food is delicious and it's a very clean place. We tried 3 different dishes along with their heavenly garlic naan. We tried chicken curry and 2 more vegetarian curries which came with rice which were readily available behind the counter (in addition to a full menu). If you're unsure if what to get they offer samples of the behind thecounter curries! The staff was helpful, friendly, and the service quick. Overall, the food is flavorful and soulful, we're grateful to find this place instead of hitting a fast food place. We'll be back here for sure, keep it up Marigold!
