We have been bringing our dog Bella here for many years. We can not say enough amazing things about Marie and the service she provides. She is extremely accommodating and kind. Any groomer we have been to before Marie our dog had to be medicated for anxiety, but here she feel right at home. We highly recommend Marie's!!
We took our 5 year old long haired mini dachshund in for his first grooming experience yesterday. Atticus is very friendly, but a little anxious, so we weren't sure what to expect. We called Marie's and she was able to fit him in that day. Marie asked us how we wanted the cut and we talked about his temperament and then left him for a couple hours. When we came back to pick him up, he was so handsome! He was soft, and fluffy, and his coat was so smooth. They did an amazing job with his trim (and trimmed it as even as they could thanks to my at home mat removal trims ) the whole team at Marie's was wonderful and I really appreciated that this was his first trip to the groomers. Also they give every pup a very cute homemade bandana!
Marie came highly recommended from my best friend who has been seeing her for a while. His little boy never had good luck with groomers until he met Marie. I'm a new dog mom and was super worried about getting my girl groomed as I've heard horror stories about dogs getting nick'd or even looking like completely different dogs after a trip to the groomers. I knew I couldn't put it off any longer when her bangs and eye hair were obstructing her vision. I called Marie to book the appointment and was instantly put at ease by her warm and welcoming tone. The day of her service, Marie came out and greeted us and took some time to get my girl familiar with her as well as discuss my wishes for her cut. I did not want her to be shaved but knew it was a possibility because of her breed and type of hair (very easily matted). Marie assured me I had brushed her out well enough that she wouldn't need to shave her. She went over again what was all included in the service (shampoo, cut, teeth cleaning, ear and eye cleaning, nails trimmed; everything my little one needed). She gave me a call about 2.5-3 hours after dropping her off which was nice as I was able to get some errands done. Marie opened the cutting room door and my little girl ran out into the lobby the most happy and most beautiful I had ever seen her. I think I screamed in the shop because how surprised I was at how great she looked. I couldn't and still can't thank or compliment Marie enough. She recommended a follow up in about 4 weeks and we will definitely be back. I truly cannot stop looking at how great my girl looks (and how nice she still smells even after a couple trips to the park). Hands down Marie truly is the best! Thanks again! - Corrine and Pino
Great experience from beginning to end. Marie made us feel at ease leaving our dog. We'll definitely be back soon! Thank you for making our Benny look so handsome!
I've taken my golden retriever to Marie's maybe 2-3 times already. First time was great. My dog had a really good groom. This last time , I asked for a different haircut. A "teddy haircut" she said she could do it, but won't be exact, it would be similar. Which was fine. I picked her up and she had told me my dog ended up having a lot of "fine spots". I didn't think much of it until I got home. My dog ended up having multiple scabs in her body and she would end up biting her spots, making them more red and bleed.. asked the vet what happened. They said "the groomer clipped her and didn't tell you the truth. Groomer doesn't always clean their blades, so that's probably how it got infected". I'm super upset with the news... so please, if you make a mistake with someone's pet, tell them. And clean your blades...
Marie gave my pup the best cut ever today!!! He also came home happy for the first time ever after a groom, so we will definitely be coming back. I just told her to cut him how she would if it was her pup and it came out adorable. I love that she didn't shave his bum or face after I asked not to. In the past, I have told groomers not to and they still did and my puppy came home angry and scooting on his butt. Highly recommend this place!
She's fantastic with you're puppy! Affordable prices and she does anything you want . The time she takes on the dogs are long but she uses the time wisely! Cash only ! It was 40$ for my 9 week old American Eskimo and if you know the breed the fur is overwhelming. Super cheap for what you get honestly. Highly recommended.

MY DOG ENDED UP IN THE ER, PLEASE do not take your dog here if you love them for the love of God DONT. I have written a review on them before with extensive evidence that they injured my dog with excessive force. Look through my profile to see the more detailed review but you can see the hospital report attached to this updated review as well pictures of my dog. read more

I first went to Marie when my pup needed a sanitary trim. She let me stop in right after I called! Not too long after, I scheduled a grooming appointment with her for my puppy's first cut. Marie explained to me in detail how to keep up with matting so he wouldn't have to get shaved. Unfortunately, even with brushing every day, the Chicago winter and doodle hair just don't mix and he had to get a very short cut. Marie still did a great job, and I know she did her best to cut the mats out so she didn't have to completely shave him, which I really appreciate! Here is our boy Creamington before and after Thank you, Marie! read more

You guys, I am literally fawning over my dog right now. Marie's Pet Grooming is THE BEST!! We have a 13 year old border collie mix who is ~55-60 pounds. She was cute before but holy cow, is she adorable now! We asked for a puppy cut and Marie delivered! This shop deserves 15 out of 5 stars. 100% recommend. read more

We just moved to Avondale and our dog needed to get groomed. She has a compromised immune system so she can't be around other dogs other than her brother. Marie was super accommodating! Gave us the first appointment in the morning. She was there for just over an hour which was great vs sitting there all day like some places. Our dog has never looked so good!! She still smells like she got a fresh bath. She hadn't been groomed since July because of her health so she was looking pretty rough. I highly recommend Marie!! read more

CASH ONLY!!! Just FYI Took our sweet pup for her first grooming today. Called last minute and they were able to fit us in, so sweet! Dropped off our dog, waited only 1hr and she was beautified! Excellent, expedient service and what a deal! Only $55 for our 15lb short haired dog. That included nails, hair trim, bath, dry AND anal glands! We will definitely be return customers. read more

Great experience from the beginning. I called Marie on a Thursday night (after closing time) and left a voicemail. Not only did she call me back that same night, but she booked me for the following morning. She was incredibly nice, down to earth and SO funny. I heard my puppy whimpering as I walked out, but I felt very comfortable leaving him with her. The appointment was pretty fast and my little Parker looked (and smelled) amazing! Will definitely be a regular customer! read more

All I can say is, Marie was so sweet and made sure my 3 month old puppy Brover was comfortable during his first grooming session. His haircut, nails, ears, everything was well taken care of and he looks so darn adorable. Highly recommend her to all pet owners. Thank you Marie! See you in a few weeks! read more

Took my little guy to Marie's for the first time last week after being recommended by a relative and had an awesome experience! I was a bit concerned at first only because my dog does not do very well with any bit of the grooming process (usually tries to attack the tools) so I was worried that she was not going to be able to do the service but man, I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The cut was everything I wanted and more and my dog actually seemed like he came back happier!!! I HIGHLY recommend Marie's to other pet owners. We will definitely be back!!! read more

Marie is the best groomer I have encountered in a long time! We took our toy poodle to Marie a few weeks ago and she was looking quite a mess after escaping our yard and exploring the neighborhood in the mud and rain! Marie quickly accepted her in when I called early afternoon and had he beautifully groomed in a very short time. She looked and smelled amazing for days! We recommended a friend go to her this week and she had an equally amazing experience with her Pomeranian. I highly recommend her to anyone! read more
