Dr. Anglin is the best physician I've had, and I have moved around a lot due to military service…read more My original visit was due to a sports injury, and I was unaware that this office is also a family practice. He was so precise, thorough, very knowledgeable, and demonstrated an ability to explain orally, via demonstration on manikins, and by drawing, what is going on so that I, the patient, can gain a understanding of my issue. I immediately switched to this office as my primary and for over the last 3 years he has kept a detailed record of all my lab results, monitoring and comparing every rise and fall on my panels and counseling me on the changes and their effect on my wellbeing. He knows when I am doing something weird with my diet even if I don't want to admit it. I am repeatedly impressed by his "ready access" knowledge, he does not leave the office to Google stuff. The office is nice, always clean, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I'm not a fan of the automated phone system, too many options that seem to lead to the same person anyway, but that is insignificant.

We were no longer "new" patients. The appointments were rushed. The care and concern was gone. We became a number. Don't let the friendly smile fool you. This doctor is not what he seems.

Very Disappointing Experience -- Lack of Professionalism and Care…read more There are too many negative things to mention, but I'll start with the front desk. The receptionist is consistently rude, and the music in the lobby is so loud that it's difficult to hear or communicate. It feels very unprofessional, especially with the TV also playing information about procedures and products -- the two competing noises make the environment unpleasant. Every time I've come in, the music seems even louder. When I first saw the doctor, he mentioned that the VA sends too much information to read through, which was concerning. I explained my symptoms, and he told me to come back for injections. A few days later, I returned and was given two injections -- but it turns out they were done in the wrong area, as confirmed by my VA doctor after reviewing the referral and MRI. The VA doctor clarified that the injections I received were not what he had referred me for. When I brought the correct documentation back to Apollo Pain Management, the doctor seemed visibly irritated. During that visit, he performed the requested injections but did not use lidocaine or any numbing agent beforehand. His demeanor made me feel as if I had done something wrong, which added unnecessary stress to an already painful situation. At my follow-up visit, the experience was much the same -- rude front desk staff, loud music, and a doctor who did not review my MRI or referral. When I mentioned that I didn't get the expected relief, he implied it was my fault and refused to perform further injections in the areas requested by my referring doctor. I will not be returning to this location. The environment is unwelcoming, and if the physician cannot take the time to review a referral or MRI, it's hard to trust the quality of care being provided. On a positive note, the PA and the male nurse were both very professional, courteous, and caring. They were the only bright spots in this entire experience.

This is the worst doctor's office I've ever been to. Actually, this office & my mom's doctor are…read moretied for the worst. I saw the PA in June because I started having mild hypertension. I saw him again in July to assess how my new blood pressure pills were working. It worked great & my blood pressure was controlled right away. All of my labs are normal so he said it's ok to have a follow up in 6 months. I like the PA. I have no issues with him. My issues are 100% about the protocols in place at this office. They require you to call the office every 3 months for your refills. Why can't they just give me a prescription with enough refills for one year like normal doctors offices??? If that's not frustrating enough, I can't call for my refills until 7 days exactly before I run out of meds. I use a mail order pharmacy so this is not ok. The first time I tried to call for refills, it was a month ahead & they said I have to call back a week before. So I called back 8 days before my prescription runs out, and they said I had to call back THE NEXT DAY!!! Why???? This is so ridiculous. They said it was because my prescription insurance won't fill it early but that's a lie because I receive notifications from my pharmacy to get a refill a month before it's due so they would have accepted it a month in advance. So now (early Dec) I'm almost out of my meds again, and I asked for another refill. I have my 6-month follow up appt in Jan. The office said they won't refill my med unless I see the doctor again before hand. I just saw him 5 months ago, and he said I just need to come in after 6 months. I told the office this, and they said it was office policy. Their policies make no sense, and I feel like it's all just a money making scheme because I keep getting charged here & there for things that should be completely covered under my health insurance. I never argued about it, and I paid what I owed since it was only $20-50. This ridiculous refill process is just not worth my time. I switched to another doctor that I know for sure gives one year refills. Save yourself the trouble & do NOT go to this office.
