My son is an energetic second grader who thrives with clear routines, expectations, and consistency, and the school provides the structure he needs while still giving kids plenty of opportunities to move, create, and explore. I especially appreciate that students have specials such as PE, art, and Spanish, which give them different outlets throughout the school week. Academically, we have also had a very positive experience. My son was identified as gifted, and his teacher has been exceptional at differentiating instruction and providing enrichment that goes beyond simply giving him "more work." She finds ways to challenge him at a higher level, build on his interests, and keep him engaged and thinking. As a parent, it means a lot to know that his individual academic needs are being recognized and supported. No school is perfect, but our experience has been a positive one. I appreciate the combination of structure, high expectations, enrichment opportunities, and teachers who take the time to recognize what individual students need in order to grow.

She often commented on how much more positive the environment felt, with far less drama and fewer issues than she had experienced before. One of the things that stood out most to her was how kind and respectful the aides were. It has been wonderful to see her feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely happy at school.

Students' phones are being searched without parental consent and sometimes without the student even being present. This is a major violation of privacy and should not be happening without proper communication with parents. Bullying is not taken seriously, which creates an unsafe environment for students. Concerns are ignored instead of being properly addressed. While the front office staff are kind, the administration is a completely different story. Assistant Principal Mr. Daniels treats students unfairly and does not show equal respect. In a situation involving suspected cheating, multiple students were involved, yet only some were given the opportunity to retake the test while others were not. This inconsistency clearly shows favoritism and poor judgment. Overall, the way this school is run is extremely disappointing. Students deserve fairness, respect, and a safe environment, and right now that is not being provided. Immediate changes need to be made. This place deserves 0 STARS.

My son Robert entered his junior year of high school this year. He has been able to maintain a 4.0…read morethroughout but we realized that this would be one of his most challenging years. (A little background info is that during Robert's freshman year in Algebra I, his teacher was dismissed toward the end of his second semester. He spent his last 2 months without an instructor.) We were concerned at the beginning of this year that maintaining an A in Algebra 2 and a 4.0 might be really challenging considering the past. We requested info on a tutor from his daily math teacher. We were referred to Alex Couch. This has been an absolutely wonderful experience for my son. Ms. Couch thoroughly explained the expectation of her tutoring sessions. It has helped in so many ways. Not only are the topics explained and practiced, but there is time set aside for questions and any additional help needed. My son has had the opportunity to go over homework and test reviews.
