It's difficult when you're already grieving to ask for help and be treated like you're a burden. I grew up in Fall Creek and always the thought Hickeys was a kind, local business. That's why we asked for their help and expertise, so I'm sad we couldn't have had a better experience.

Since then I've bought all my guitars and amps from Terry, including a Martin acoustic/electric, a Strat, along with my sons Fender Jazz bass and amp. My son explored many stores checking out basses and amps. Terry asked what my son was looking for and what music he was playing. He let him browse and take his time with no pressure. Every time I go in with an instrument or amp in need of repair Terry drops what he's doing and, at the very least, looks at it or repairing it then and there. I went in looking for a new acoustic guitar and Terry found out I liked Martin's but couldn't afford one. He sold me a Martin with a cracked panel on the face at a fantastic price assuring me it wouldn't bother the sound and offered to fix it if it did. I still haven't repaired it. Places that have remained in business over the many years and are truly special during my younger days are few and far between.
