I order carryout from Maria's almost every week. It's a home town pizza experience that's consistently great.

You're not going to pay more here than you will at Pizza Hut, but you will get a better pizza. Very unique and delicious taste!

It was good they did, because it took a while to get our food, so the kids were running loops around the table. Our waitress was quick to come get our drink order and was very pleasant. It took a while to get our drinks as well as the food. They were busy, but the last few times I've been here it's been slower for food. We got a salad and a wrap with onion rings and all was tasty. The onion rings had a good crisp to them. The issue was with the kids meals. The burger was more of a slider size and was kind of underdone for a toddler. The kid with who can usually eat a full adult size burger only had a few bites. The applesauce with the kids meal is also more of a chunky, cinnamon-clove style, so the kids weren't really into it. We brought it home to put on toast and pancakes and it was tasty. Mostly the kids meal just wasn't what we've grown to expect from a kids meal menu.

Nice, clean place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The burger I got was decent. Not the best…read moreI've ever had, but serviceable. The cole slaw was really good - maybe a little more tangy than I'm used to? But I did enjoy it. The place is spacious and clean. I really should have had the salad bar, but I wasn't feeling it at the time. Maybe another time.

But the illusion fades the moment a Bloody Mary arrives at the table. This is a bar that takes its craft seriously. The cocktail was thoughtfully prepared and balanced, revealing an attention to detail rarely found in establishments trading on casual charm alone. The atmosphere is equally compelling: lively without being chaotic, welcoming without feeling manufactured. It possesses the kind of authenticity that cannot be designed or replicated. In an era of increasingly curated hospitality, this remains a genuinely local gathering place--unpretentious, distinctive, and unmistakably its own.

It was very loud with people talking, due to the small space. We sat at our table and waited awhile for a server, but didn't know if we needed to order at the bar. After a while, a waitress arrived to take our order. She was very joyful and friendly. We both ordered the walleye and eggs, which included hashbrowns and toast. My husband added cheese and onions on the hashbrowns at no extra cost. We also ordered a Bloody Mary, which came with a chaser. They arrived with a spear of mozzarella cheese, pimento olive, smoked sausage, and a dill pickle. The walleye had a nice thin crust and the eggs and hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. My better half said that he didn't taste any onions in the hashbrowns and they used American cheese, which made them runny. It was a good breakfast, and we enjoyed our time there. However, due to the loudness, we probably won't go back, as it was hard to have a conversation. Be aware that they only take cash, but they do have an ATM in the building. This establishment definitely had a great atmosphere and service, with friendly staff.
