Wayne Woodlands is truly a special place. Every member of the staff deeply cares about the…read moreresidents and their outcomes. From Judy, to the nurses, to the PT team, everyone here is passionate about the work they do. You can feel the dedication in the way they interact with residents every day. Staff members even stay after hours to coordinate events, activities, and social gatherings that make the Manor feel like a real home, not just a facility. The level of compassion, consistency, and heart at Wayne Woodlands is incredible -- it's clear the residents are genuinely loved and supported. Highly recommended.

I have seen with my own eyes how certain residents get treated like garbage and others get anything…read moreand everything they need and/or want. A diabetic resident was given insulin when their sugar was already low. That resident passed out and was given orange juice even though they are allergic to orange juice. A nurse went off on this resident because they vomited on the floor. A resident has a urine bag that needs to be emptied when it starts getting full. There was a day when nobody emptied that bag and it burst. Urine soaked the resident's pants, socks and shoes. That resident stayed in those clothes for hours after this happened! A nurse changed the bag but nobody changed the clothes. The resident developed sores from the urine. The shoes and clothes were washed but the shoes were thrown in the dryer which made them shrink. A family member had to buy new shoes for the resident. Nurses and aides write on a chart that certain residents are given a shower on different days when sone of those residents did not actually get a shower. The nurses and aides write on a chart saying they put certain residents to bed at night, help them get up in the morning and help them get dressed. There are times when certain residents put themselves to bed or they fall asleep in a chair that they sit in that is in their room. Some residents are not helped with getting out of bed in the morning until after they are made to have breakfast while still in their bed. Sone residents wear the same clothes for days because the staff are too lazy to change them. The kitchen staff at this place are also a joke! They can't get an order correct when someone asks for one thing in place of something else. The resident is instead given what is written on the white board instead of the substitute that they asked for. The lady in the office threatens to evict your elderly family member when they can't pay what she expects them to pay. She says she will take care of certain paperwork but then decides that it's not her responsibility to do it. The paperwork will not get done and she will then threaten to evict the resident. This place is nothing but a joke. It's sad to see how certain residents are treated like trash while others are treated like gold!

She talked down on me the entire time making me feel dumb for not wearing a mask and not "thinking about other patients" even though I tested neg at home and no one else had masks on. She then left the room and I could hear her out in the hall complaining to the other nurses how rude and unthoughtful not wearing a mask was and how dumb of people to not go out in public without one.. she then came back in and talked down on me AGAIN for not getting my flu shot but I work from home and opted out because I'm not around people only for her to tell me "well you must not be that quarantined if you got covid". Gave me my papers and I left. I will not be back. Poor quality care. Didn't even take my temp or other vitals or gave me a work up. As soon as they got the +result they stopped giving care.

Then, what makes it worse, I'm here at 4:40! One person in the waiting room and I can't be seen within the 20 minutes! Then your not closing at 5 are you? This place needs new management.

Hi. I was a patient at First Hospital who was 302'd, that means I was an involuntary admittance for…read morea psychotic episode. I was violent and had to be restrained twice in the first 3 days. i ended up staying for 16 days, with the first few days being very rough for me mentally. I can honestly say that I am completely greatful for the treatment I received there. The staff, especially those who restrained me were absolutely professional. I was not hurt at all even while being restrained by 12 people. They were truly experts at their jobs. After my stay I left feeling like myself again. I want to thank Dr. Asif for working closely with me on my medication plan, helping me with not only my schizophrenia but also my anxiety and depression. I also want to thank all the nurses, therapists, food preppers, cleaning staff, techs and security (one of which I bit during a psychotic episode, sorry about that :/) who are very underappreciated for the work they do, and helped me 24/7, going out of their way many times to help me. Even after my schizophrenic episodes the staff did nothing but make me feel protected, being friendly and making me feel like I was a valuable member of society again. I apologize for the long ramble but the guys and gals at this hospital deserve respect and acknowledgement for the work they do. I am getting my life back because of them, and I have nothing but love, respect and admiration for what they do. I wish the hospital was better funded, added more healing activities like sports and was more taken of financially by the state government. Without this help I could have been hurt or even worse, I could have died. So thank you to all of the staff for making my stay a very productive and healthy one. I'll never forget you all as I get my life back on track. God bless you all. P.S. After a year passes I just might take a chance and apply there to help others like you all helped me. You guys rock. With love, Matt
