I suppose most people really don't have much of a choice is choosing an outpatient surgical center…read more- you just go where your doctor tells you to. And that was the case with me. I needed minor, routine surgery and my doctor is affiliated with Northlake. So here I went. It was a good experience, as medical procedures go. The staff is quite efficient and the nurses and doctors effuse an air of professional competence borne of experience. Having performed the procedure many times, they have it down and it shows. Very comforting from a patient's perspective. With some medical procedures you want to have individualized care, not assembly line efficiency. But with others, such as mine, it's nice to feel that there's a 'been there, done that' air of competence. Removes a bit of the worry about possible negative consequences. Everyone is nice and understands that you'd just as soon be somewhere else so the process is not overly drawn out. Northlake is convenient - right off an interstate exit and with their own, free parking lot.

I saw Dr. Cayla Conway, who is a great physician. Very informative, very open and approachable. She was very interested in my opinion about the orthotics and what I wanted out of them. I appreciated that. It took about 4 weeks for my orthotics to be created from the plaster mold, and once I got them, I had a few concerns about their designs. Instead of Dr. Conway making me make another appointment to see her, she told me to come by the office and we went over my concerns and made a game plan to adjust the orthotics at no cost to me. 3 weeks later, I picked up my orthotics a second time and they worked great! While Dr. Conway is a great podiatrist, she only has hours at the Ankle & Foot Centers of Georgia on Wednesdays. She splits her time at other facilities. That basically means if you want to see her and there's an issue, you'll have to wait until Wednesday. This wasn't a huge problem for me because I was simply picking up a product. Located right at the corner of Commerce and Clairmont, the parking lot here isn't huge, but i've never had an issue finding a spot. The interesting thing that i've seen many patients have trouble with is finding the front door. It kinda blends in with the walls and doesn't immediately look like a door, but just look for the knob (silly to say, but i've seen more than one person walk from one side of the building to the other looking to get in). Really enjoyed my time here and enjoyed Dr. Conway's great service!

DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I returned for a follow-up and experienced the worst service…read moreas well as an attempt to overcharge for services. I believe in paying for services rendered, however between Dr. Wilder inflating the visit and the office staff speaking and carrying on in an unprofessional manner, responding to my questioning with "take it up with your insurance", I am taken aback. I asked simply what is the copay going towards and why is it an additional $217 dollars for a follow-up visit that discussed a test result? I should have walked right out when the receptionist began our interaction with "let's get that copay taken care of" with no eye contact. Back to the inflation of services...I phoned my insurance company in the midst of the back and forth of me not accepting that we discussed more than to two "chronic illness" calling for the visit being "extensive"; a code was mentioned that would bill this service. Dr. Wilder and I spoke of two conditions, treatment for 1; and they tried to say 3 or more, so I gave the code for 2 or more conditions to the insurance provider on the phone in real-time as the back forth was happening. By the way, I asked if the receptionist could hold on with my hand raised for a moment while I give the person from my insurance the code and she then said I put my hand in her face. Now she inflated the interaction. I told her that it was not my intention to offend her in that way. Continuing with the information from my insurance provider, the code that they said would cost me an additional $217, the insurance relayed that it is covered under the copay and no additional payment should be required. However, they continued to ignore this from my insurance provider and it concluded with they will bill my insurance and I will be responsible for all of it. I continued the conversation with my insurance provider after leaving and she explained that it does not matter how many diagnoses we discuss, an office visit falls under a $45 copay for my plan. It was very unpleasant and dishonest. Just code me and bill me for honest work. Don't try to pay all of your bills with one office visit.

A couple of them were wisdom teeth and a couple molars. Dr. Osborne was straightforward, quick, and did a fantastic job! There was a little confusion with the insurance, but they were patient enough to get it straightened out instead of sending us to collections like some people... *coughemorycough* They're out of network for us, so each procedure is a little pricier than it could be, but my husband has come out of both extractions with minimal pain (motrin only!) and swelling and raves about the guy. I should note here that my husband is NOT usually complimentary of dentists and oral surgeons due to some very sour past experiences, so the fact that he genuinely likes this guy is quite a feat! The office is convenient and comfortable, and is right up from a Target with a pharmacy. The staff is also willing to take down a phone number if a patiently waiting wife finishes her book and wants to run to Michael's crafts to go on a bead bender...

Neither of them were very polite, comforting, nor compassionate to someone that can't eat or sleep because of how bad my teeth hurt. I told the first that it hurt so bad that I couldn't eat or sleep and she giggled and said "okay our soonest availability is in two weeks". No regard for how bad I was hurting. I told the second woman that I was quoted ~$1000 for the actual surgery and $130 for the consultation before hand and she told me it'd be $270 for the consultation and at least $3000 for the surgery. When I was obviously upset after my parents had to pull that money out of our emergency savings just to be told the amount we expected tripled, she had NO sympathy and said "well what do you want me to do? Cancel your appointment??". Yes, cancel a surgery I need without any thoughts of guilt or sorrow for a college kid without insurance. Yes ma'am, that's what I want. Yes, these women gaves me facts and accurate information but poor dental health can be lethal and they didn't give a care in the world to my concerns or fears. Maybe Dr Osborne is cool but his staff needs a serious change in customer care. If I manage to get insurance, I will not be coming to this place.

When our 15-year-old son had a serious preseason workout accident that left him with a displaced clavicle fracture and broken coracoid, it was overwhelming and scary. Dr. Traub immediately stepped in and made sure Benjamin was taken care of. From the surgery itself -- where Jeff used a new clavicle plate system to repair everything -- to the thoughtful follow-up care, every step has been handled with so much skill, kindness, and attention. The whole team has checked in, kept a close eye on his healing, and treated him with the kind of compassion that means the world to parents navigating an unexpected injury. They even sent him home with one of their T-shirts that says, "If you can break it, we can fix it." We couldn't agree more -- and now we have the proof! While it's hard to see our son sidelined from the activities he loves, we have complete peace of mind knowing he's in the very best hands. We couldn't ask for a better team of professionals -- and friends -- to walk with us on this journey to recovery. We would highly recommend this team at Atlanta Bone and Joint for your orthopedic care
