However, as many others have said, you just can't be too careful or get too comfortable in today's economic climate. I would much rather be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best. When Yelp offered a free 15 minute session with Timothy, I wanted to give it a try. I've helped others with their resumes in past years, but looking at my own is always so much harder. It really needed a brush-up. Tim's advice was wonderful, clear, and so easy to follow. He provided me with templates that would be more attractive to any potential readers. Over the next few weeks, I plan on using one of the templates to pop my own information in, and have it at the ready "just in case."

I take pride in having a better than average resume and interviewing well. (I'm in nonprofit…read morefundraising and unfortunately that is a field that most of us move jobs every few years - so my resume is always up to date.) Timothy actually had some advice that helped me though and I recommend that you take the time to have a resume review with him. Having an outside set of eyes on my resume made me see some easy improvements I could make to help stand out in a future job search. I'm employed not but not naive about the impact of this pandemic on every industry including nonprofit - so I'm ready if a layoff happens.

FFF solicits surplus or leftover food from local restaurants and farmers that would otherwise go to waste. FFF daily delivers this food to the needy people that need it usually within 24 hours of it being donated. FFF is a great nonprofit that does great things. I volunteered here once and helped them build a huge walk in refrigerator. Bravo to this fine local charity.

I can't remember who said it but on the back of all their trucks reads: "When I feed the poor, they call me a saint; When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist." In addition to being the office of over 40 nonprofits, it also has meeting space available for other nonprofits to use (you do not have to be a tenant). I've been to meeting here sponsored by Tech Networks of Boston, Women in Development (fundraising), The Communications Network, Public Relations Society of America, and Third Sector New England. The event space is great, but my one warning is to triple check the microphones with the nonprofit center events staff if you have speakers. About half the times I've been to events there, audio problems occurred, so I always sit in the front to be sure I can hear. I'm jealous of the employees of the nonprofits in this building! What a lovely place to work!

I researched every venue I could find, over 55 in total. We couldn't afford to spend thousands of dollars, and time was running out - as were my options. Then I came across The NonProfit Center - after my initial inquiry I was contacted by Faisal and literally everything was smooth sailing from there! I took a look at the space and it was perfect, they were available the date I needed, and the price was right. Faisal answered all of my (many) questions and kept in touch to make sure there was nothing else I needed. Next time I will save myself the run-around and go here first - can't say enough good things, we had a wonderful experience!

The young people help run the store, learn job skills, and work toward personal and career goals--and it truly shows in the care and pride behind the space. The shop itself is small but mighty. I walked out with four excellent-condition used books (three of which had already been on my TBR list) and somehow also added two cookbooks because... no regrets. Everything was very affordable, and it felt good knowing my purchase was directly supporting youth in the local community. If you're near one of their locations (I believe there's another in the Boston area), I highly recommend stopping in or checking out their online storefront. Great books, great prices, and an even greater mission--absolutely worth supporting.

We have no choice but to freeze to death in the streets as of May 2025 due to the lack of help from Qcap and etc. There is no way we can surrive in the streets with our medical conditions.
