SCAM WARNING: Lovetthair Orlando I had a fraudulent experience at Lovetthair as a first-time…read moreclient. I came in for a sew-in removal and a standard new sew-in service using my own hair bundles. Based on a previous bad hair experience I shared, the stylist recommended I do a combined sew-in and micro-link extension service for an upcharge instead. I trusted her and paid $420 via Zelle. To hide her actions, she turned my chair completely away from the mirror to watch Netflix. She completed the sew-in base, but completely defrauded me on the micro-links. Instead of adding the extension hair I provided, she clamped EMPTY metal beads directly onto my natural hair strands. Because my natural hair is mid-length, she assumed I wouldn't notice the missing bulk. I later discovered that every single bead remains tightly locked on my scalp with absolutely no extension hair inside them. Other local stylists are now refusing to remove these empty beads due to liability and the high risk of traction damage to my raw hair. When confronted, she aggressively refused a refund and repeatedly changed her story. I am providing screenshots of our emails to prove she is a pathological liar. In one message she lists a charge for a microlink install, and in the next, she completely denies doing a sew-in--even though I physically have the braided tracks and black thread sewn into my head right now. Stay Away!

So bummed she closed her shop! She is a really good colorist and hair stylist. ..............read more

I normally don't write reviews but this needs to be seen…read more I went in to ask about a hair style I wanted. Which was just 2 braids with extensions. She has done my hair before which came out good hence why I went back for braids this time. But the first time and only time I went to her I got a sew in (NOT BRAIDS). She tells me the last time she did my hair I got braids.... She said that I expressed to her " they were too tight and needed to be taken down". (WHICH WAS NOT TRUE) Therefore this time around she told me she did not feel comfortable doing my braids. I then explain to her that she's only done my hair once and it was a sew in. I never had braids done by her. And I never would ask for my hair to be taken down or out because I am not tender headed at all. Even if I was it's just not something I would say. I even showed her a picture of the hairstyle that she did on me a couple years ago. She then look's me in my face and said that wasn't her that did it....and she feels uncomfortable braiding my hair. Because she braids too tight. But like I said I never got braids done by her. I have got braids done for many years By different people. Never had to deal with someone refusing to do my hair. She is the only person I've seen working there and for me to be lied to when I had proof was mind blowing. All I wanted was 2 braids but she refused to do my hair. I am a little upset cause I feel that she just didn't want to do it cause of how I looked. But it is what it is. Nothing I can do now. But... I ended up finding a salon that would do my hair no problem.

I have curly hair that reached my waist when stretched, and I made it abundantly cloear that I was growing it out and wanted long layers with face framing. My hair is something I grew to love after I found a routine that worked for me and even became a source of confidence. After the cut, when stretched, my hair barely reaches my shoulder blades, and the framing pieces are the same awkward length and can't see be pinned back in a bun. I was deeply saddened when I left, and the feeling hasn't left weeks later. I'll be stuck in a hair depression till it grows back in a few years.
