The sauna wasn't working, and when we asked about it, the response felt dismissive and vague. The front desk staff didn't help the experience either--neither friendly nor welcoming. For spending over $1000, we expected at least a smile, a "thank you," or even a "how was everything?" Instead, the only thing they emphasized was that valet was complimentary--as if that justified the overall lackluster hospitality. Considering this is a spa located in Rancho Santa Fe, I expected a much higher standard of service and amenities. As other Yelpers have noted, Dr. He is patient, caring and thorough. The cupping treatment works the best for my chronic lower back and upper shoulder pain. Cupping provides relief for blood flow that helps with my golf game. My game has suffered because the stiffness in my back not allowing me to turn. After a couple of cupping treatments, my back feels "unlocked" and I could tell I was able to turn better and saw my game improved. I have not done anything different other than getting cupping on a regular basis. I am thankful that Dr. He introduced me to cupping. Yes and unfortunately, cupping leaves marks on the treatment area. Mine are usually dark red and last for about a week or so. But I feel good. Thanks to Michael Phelps cupping marks are more widely known now and hopefully more acceptable to be shown :-) Acupuncture treatment result varies from person to person.
