I have going for acupuncture and massage as needed since the 80s Always happy with very knowledgeable and super positive staff read more

I have been seeing Mark Haskins for massages for almost 6 months now. He is one of the best masseuses I've ever found. I have had multiple surgeries for lower back and knees and Mark has helped to stretch out scar tissue and get me moving again. I don't have to point out the trouble areas; he can feel them and ease them away. He is also very knowledgeable about vitamin supplements and food for improving my exercise routine and gaining strength and balance. I would recommend Mark to anyone who needs a quality massage. read more

I was in Encinitas for vacation and pulled my back right as I landed at the airport. I could barely walk/move without being in excruciating pain. I had a busy week of theme parks and zoos planned with my toddler, so I called around trying to get a same day appointment somewhere for a massage. By some miracle, Mark was able to see my same day. He ended up doing some cupping with the massage and the next morning, I was almost 80% healed. I went back 2 days later for acupuncture and he is truly a healer. I was so nervous to see someone new (esp with such a severe injury) but he knew exactly what to do and allowed me to enjoy my vacation with his healing powers. My only regret is I don't live close by so I can see him on a regular basis. read more

Jean was phenomenal. It was my first time receiving acupuncture & the results are profound. I injured my back working out, and through the combination of acu, massage, and cupping much of that pain has been relieved. I definitely will be back. Highly recommend these services to anyone looking to try a new form of medicine/ healing. Very calm, cleansing, and welcoming environment. read more

I have seen both Wes and Jean and have been blown away by their work. I saw Wes a year ago for an incredibly debilitating sciatica issue. I was in severe pain and could barely walk. I essentially walked out of their office without an ounce of pain an hour later. I just recently saw Jean as Wes was occupied as I had really tight hips and glutes. Jean's work on this zone surpassed any massage that I have ever had for this terminally knotted up area. A++++++ for both these guys! read more

The best acupuncture I have ever received was from Matt Szymczak, L.Ac (and I have met with many good acupuncturists over the past 26 years). Matt is exceptional, warm, and talented and does powerful work well beyond just putting in needles. The best massage work I have ever received was from Michael Rubano. I no longer live in California and don't know if he's still at Encinitas Acupuncture and Massage, but his work -- especially his bodywork (Feldenkrais-Esque) was life-changing. If he is still there -- go see him. I think Michael has a book, Intelligent Flexibility -- and a youtube video as well. Check them out. He's warm, with a wonderful sense of humor and knows the body and what we need to enhance our lives. Matt and Michael are by far the best clinicians in these arenas. Enjoy! read more

I have been seeing both Wesley Boyce and Mark Haskins for many years at the Encinitas Acupuncture and Massage Center. It's time I say how wonderful and qualified they are at their profession. It's has always been a good experience and has helped me keep my body in the best condition possible, considering I enjoy cycling and it takes its toll now and then. If you're looking for a place to feel safe and cared for, this is it. Many thanks to them, and the people that work at the front reception. Always a pleasure. Gail M read more

This place is awesome. Everyone is really good. They've been in the community for over 25 years. A wide variety of specialties at this place, there are over twelve therapists who each have their own unique training and regions of specialties. But their goal is simple: they want to heal people. But they're not too airy-fairy about it, which is nice. The mood is a lot like a clinic, in that there is a reception desk and a waiting room, but the mood is pleasant, and there is a big water fixture. Everyone is really professional, and each therapist (there are over 12) has a unique set of skills to meet your needs: They have acupuncture, massage (Natch) as well as a chiropractor, and sometimes they have facialists, hypnotherapists (to get rid of that nasty smoking habit, perhaps), family counseling, etc. Just give them a call. Some of the other treatments that I've had: Hot rocks oil massage, Thai Massage, deep tissue, muscle repatterning, Tui Na, trigger point, EFT, Tuning Table, Nutritional guidance, Cranial Sacral, etc. The price is great, I mean, $75 for an hour of massage from someone with twenty years of experience? My god. Big note though, they don't accept insurance, but they will give you a special receipt to be reimbursed by your insurance company. read more

Since 1989 I have enjoyed an awesome weekly massage from Wes and also, over the past decade, by Frankie. This work with them has been truly life changing. I credit them with improving my health and well-being. Both are exceptional therapists - a real cut above. They are experienced, caring, strong, skilled and professional - and,as a bonus, really wonderful human beings. It just doesn't get any better. I recommend them to others, who always end up raving about their massage work. read more

I have started seeing Francine for prenatal massages and boy is it a life changer! She is so experienced! She is currently helping me through some of the worst sciatica pain I have ever felt. For five years a tingle in my pinkie became a raging nerve pain that no chiropractor, hand surgeon, occupational therapist, Feldenkrais practitioner or MD could solve. I turned to Wesley Boyce and his acupuncture as another step down the road of promising myself I'd resolve this nearly constant pain. Francine, one of the best massage therapists I've ever met, also worked with Wes to identify that the pain was an impinged nerve and that it came from the way I've been sleeping for 54 years. They worked with me to get my neck and body supported at night, do deep tissue massages, and acupuncture with stimulation. Within three sessions, Wes had taken my pain from a 10 to a 2. Within weeks it was nearly gone except for some random "phantom" pain. It is still sensitive if I bang it... but it's not aching all day and keeping me up at night. I am on the path to completely eradicating this pain from my life! And as a writer, my hands need to be on the keyboard, not sidelined from pain. All those doctors. All those years. All that pain. And the integrated team of Wes and Frannie was what it took to FINALLY feel good again. If you read these Yelp reviews you'll see people commenting on how the team has been working together for many years with myriad modalities to help people feel great. I've been coming to Encinitas Acupuncture and Massage for 24 years. And I'm so glad that I turned to them for help eradicating my pinkie pain. If you have nerve pain, definitely go see Wes and Frannie. Let them take good care of you as they have from me. read more

Frankie is amazing! best massage ever, and i've had a lot! only $80 for an hour? can't beat it. have never had acupuncture, but would go here for my first time for sure. so glad i live a block a way - i'll be here all the time. the best! read more

I have been coming to Encinitas Acupuncture and Massage for a couple of years now. Everyone is very nice and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable without being foo foo. This is about talking to the person who is going to work on you to help get what is right for you and make you feel better, rather than the type of experience you get at a fancy spa with fluffy robes, drinks, etc. I have been seeing Donna Anselmo for both massage and acupuncture, and she is awesome. She asks good questions and really pinpoints where your issues are, then does massage, acupuncture or both, depending on what you want and what is going to be most helpful. it is amazing to me how much better I feel after she has worked on me. I highly recommend Encinitas Acupuncture and Massage. You'll feel great! read more

Wesley Boyce and his staff super professional. Friend recommended Wesley after we spoke about my chronic back pain. Had about 4 acupuncture treatments and though not out of the woods, feeling lots better. Wesley keeps me informed in a very detailed way about my treatment. He has real command of anatomy and physiology and conveys it well. He also encouraged me to help my condition by losing weight, so he set me up with a very effective 21 day "purification" process. In 3 weeks lost close to 25 pounds! During this process, Wesley would text/email encouragement and informative articles to support me. A+ in every aspect !!! read more

Christina for Muscle Spasm relief: A+++++++ Right of the bat I felt like Christina got what was going on with my body, was able to create the right recipe to loosen me up! She used a mix of pressure point massage and acupuncture and I left feeling amazing! I had a fantastic experience and i will definitely be back to see her :) read more

My favorite thing to do on vacation is to read yelp reviews for the best massage in the area andthis time I chose Frankie and booked an extra long massage for my birthday. And...she was amazing. I get frequent massages and Frankie is an expert. Can wait to return on my next trip to the area! read more

Deep tissue massage by Krista- she absolutely knew what my body needed and unlocked all of the bound-up areas. In the past this type of deep massage has left me bruised and sore the next day. I was shocked and thrilled to not be either!-Just better overall. Amazing work, and she's crazy strong!!! Thanks Krista. read more

Mark is amazing.. incredibly kind hearted and a wonderful healer. I was in San Diego visiting family and had back pain so bad I was about to go to the hospital if he hadn't been available. I left feeling so much better after only an hour. Usually it takes at least 90 minutes for me to get any kind of head ache relief. It had been a very difficult day and Mark totally turned it around. So very grateful to him and will be booking again next time I'm visiting. read more

Frankie Régal thank you so very much for your healing hands. We are most grateful to you for helping us stay supple. Mobility is life! Good to know that there is a good array of top notch holistic supplies too. read more

Wes Boylan at Encinitas Acupuncture and Massage was referred to me by a friend, and I am very grateful for that referral. I was having fairly extreme neck pain that was pinching a nerve causing inflammation throughout my lower neck down through my left arm and fingers. I had 4 sessions with Wes, and after each, I felt noticeably better. He is a great person who cares about his patients and a true expert. I could not be more pleased. read more

Encinitas Acupuncture and Massage is my HAPPY PLACE! I have been going there for the last 3-4 years and I can't get (or afford) enough of it. They have been in Encinitas for over 25 years and about 7or 8 of the therapists actually co-own it. Everyone there is so great but I want to brag about Christiana especially. She does acupuncture and/or massage and is an absolute miracle worker! She is passionate, knowledgeable, nurturing and always fixes what ails me. Christa is also a great massage therapist. She gives an excellent massage!!!! My husband likes male therapists (he says they go deeper...ha) and he goes to Wes. You can't go wrong with anyone there and most of the practioners have been there 20 plus years!!!! The prices are good, the atmosphere is soothing and pleasant and everyone involved is super nice. You can't go wrong!!!! read more

My review is on Lisa Davis, who I think is amazing. Lisa is an exceptional Accupunturist with wonderful massage. Lisa is both knowledgeable and compassionate plus she seems to have great contacts in other fields of medicine specializing in holistic healing. I thank God I had Lisa through the last 6 months, although mainly on zoom, Lisa was there to care and get me through a lot. I wish I had found her years ago. read more

I've been curious about acupuncture for awhile and finally tried it yesterday... Success! Not scary or painful at all- in fact I've never felt more relaxed in my life. Christiane was amazing. She did a combo of massage and acupuncture. I've had pain in my shoulder and first treatment gave me instant relief. Hello- the best massage you'll ever get is from an acupuncturist- talk about hitting all the right pressure points. Highly recommend, try it for anything you will only feel better walking out of this place. If you're familiar with Encinitas it's got that eclectic funky Leucadian vibe, don't expect a modern sterile facility. It's clean, comfortable, nice and everyone is friendly. read more

wow. seriously, wow. seriously. had an acupuncture treatment with christiane today and she is AMAZING. not only is she great with the needles, but she also did sweet craniosacral work during my treatment. it all just felt so good. and she is incredibly caring and comforting. the space is also very nice and soothing, even though it's right off of a busy street. seriously, wow. read more

I recently had a massive shoulder problem. The pain came on suddenly and was extremely painful. I had no range of motion and not even pain killer eased the discomfort. Being a competitive horse trainer I was terrified at what was happening to me. Not being able to use my arm at all meant I couldn't work . Wesley has been instrumental in the past in helping me with my lower back. So once again I found myself at the mercy of his healing hands. After the first session I already felt a tremendous amount of relief. By sessions three and four I was almost pain free. Wesley had a tremendous gift in finding the problem and solving it. He also has immense knowledge of the body. I'm so grateful to him for helping me. I'm completely healed and am thankful to know I have found a true healer. read more

Matt Szymczak is a gifted practitioner and has really helped me and my family with a variety of health issues from emotional to physical. He is gifted in all aspect of chinese medicine and also specializes in orthopedic issues, although I've rarely seen him for that (he's been great with everything else!). Also, they sell various supplements and herbs. the Chinese herb pills and tea that stop a cold in its tracks is not only very affordable, it's effective. Michael Rubano is also a wonderful practitioner. read more

I never thought I would/could give an acupuncture place a 5-star rating because I am so deathly afraid of needles, but when my neck pain got so bad, Donna healed me without pain and fear!!!! This place is a great find and from what I understand, many of the therapists have been there for decades. I saw Donna for a 1 hour acupuncture/massage session and she was very knowledgeable, experienced and gentle. My neck feels 100x better and I will be back! Note that the atmosphere is a bit less spa-like and more medical-like, but that is fine by me. read more

I had a really powerful deep tissue massage and acupuncture treatment with Wes Boyce last week. The entire week was hugely transformative for me, and it started with my holistic treatment with Wes. I had quite a release of long held tension in my upper back/rhomboid area. It was sore for a few days after but I've been enjoying more freedom and energy flow in my upper body. I also asked for some assistance in increasing mental clarity. Although one of the acu points on my forehead was intense, I knew that he was in the right places. As the post treatment daze wore off, I have also been feeling more clear and present! I would definitely rebook! Thanks for sharing your magic. read more

Fabulous place. I've been going here for almost 2 years. I've very active, and therefore injury myself sooner or later and the therapists here are really able to help you heal. I also have tendinosis, and they do wonders with my pain managment. Sometimes I'll try and go to other massage places for deals and groupons to save money, and honestly no one compares to the massages here. I always end up back here. I seen Mark , Francine, and Kristianne (sp) all who have been the best. They are therapists that know what they are doing! I've also seen Dr. Kelly for B12 shots, such a sweet kind person who doesn't upsale you on anything, He just cares about you and your health. To add, his sterile techniques are super. Always uses new needles, draws from the vitamin serum bottle with a new needle, then caps that tosses, and uses a brand new needle for the actual shot. I've seen other places draw straight from the bottle with a new needle and then go straight into your skin. So I can appreciate the care in keeping things sterile. I've also gone in to see Wes for acupuncture and bodywork. He's very good and his body work is fantastic For your overall wellness, I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. read more

Wow! Francine is simply amazing. I can honestly say BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get a truly therapeutic experience from beginning to end. I have never had a massage feel like it was accomplishing so much for my body and my health. I went to her for a prenatal massage. I had a major kink in my neck and she worked her magic on it. She knows exactly what to do and how to work the muscle with just the right amount of pressure. She is very intuitive and knowledgeable. I will be seeing her on a regular basis throughout my pregnancy to maintain my health. read more

Literally came across this place while driving down the PCH and desperately seeking help with a sinus infection that was driving me CRAZY!!!! Stopped in without an appt. The only accupunturist left was Mark. The woman at the front desk (very nice, didn't get her name) said he had another appt coming up but she would check with him. He kindly got me in and did a quick treatment on me. I woke up this morning and could breathe!!! And food has taste!! Wooohooooo. They could have charged me a bundle, knowing my desperate situation, but instead, charged me for a partial appt. I will definitely be going back!! read more

I cannot believe I have been getting massages from Francine Chandler for almost 25 years. Wow! She is wonderful as always. Strong, intuitive and hits all the right spots. This center has wonderful, highly qualified practitioners . I also see Dr. Kelly for vitamin B shots. Stay healthy and go here often! read more

I've been coming here for a few years to see Christianna for my migraines. The acupuncture/massage works wonders and she has helped me soooooo much! Besides that, she is such a warm and caring person. She always greets me/says goodbye with a hug! I don't go in too often anymore (migraines have lessened in frequency thanks to her but also I am a student and the $85 takes a toll on my finances) but when I do we catch up like friends and she remembers things I told her months ago! You won't be disappointed with the care you receive here! read more

I am really happy with the quality of care I receive here. Have seen three different acupuncturists here and all three were terrific. Also referred some family members who had a great experience. They referred others as well. It is consistent: The staff here have years of experience. And they deliver great care. read more

Frankie Regal best massage I've ever had. She is the real deal. Book a massage with Frankie and you'll thank me later.

Frankie, Wes, Michael, Christa, Donna I've had them all and they are all fantastic. They are true healers. I have been going to this place for years. It's the only place I will go to. I was a therapist /body worker back in my 20s but burned out as it wasn't my calling per se. I have had hundreds of massages over the course of my life and know the difference between people who are truly gifted in this field and those who are merely technicians. You won't be disappointed. And Raylene, the front desk person is AWESOME! read more

After getting in a car crash 5 weeks ago I have been coming here twice a week. I see Matt for a mix of massage and acupuncture. The first time coming here was my first time getting acupuncture. Keep in mind it is by appointment only. read more
