ZERO STARS I had autoimmune symptoms, she ran a couple tests that found nothing, She told me it was in my head. She does not care about her patients. I found an endocrinologist who was compassionate and figured out that I have an autoimmune disease that needed to be treated. Are you a woman that doesn't want children? This doctor will tell you that one day you will change your mind. I a 46, never wanted kids and I have no regrets. I hate when people have the audacity to say this kind of thing. This doctor has many kids and once interrupted my appt to speak to her kids school for an hour. Just rude. She will also give you any prescription you ask for. Do you want a controlled substance that interacts badly with another of your medications? She will give it to you no questions asked. I hope the NYS medical board investigates her. read more

Margaret was so great! There was a bit of a wait time, hence the 4 star but the doctor herself and her assistant (med school student), were a solid 10! She was very patient while she answered my questions and I didn't once feel rushed. When I asked her "what's the deal with gluten?", she definitely Kept. It. Real. And passionately went in depth with her nutrition knowledge. Can't wait to ask her about the next food fad during my next annual! Haha... read more

best doctor ever, literally. I don't know how I got so lucky finding her through my insurance listing! She is SO intelligent, explains everything really clearly. She can often intuit what my next question will be and is so patient in explaining EVERYTHING to me (I ask a lot of questions). She is also probably the most non-judgmental person of all time. Also, she has a good sense of humor. I've been seeing her since I moved to NYC years ago and she's seen me through all kinds of life changes and health issues. It's true that the waiting room can sometimes be a pain, but that's honestly probably just because she has so many fans! Absolutely the best annual lady exam I've ever gotten in my 29 years. Dr. Kearns-Stanley has a soothing bedside manner, she answered all my questions easily and with as much detail as I needed. The routine procedures were painless (!!) and fast, and I was in and out in with a prescription and peace of mind in one hour flat. Her assistants were also very friendly and laid-back. I've been in the city for almost five years and found it incredibly difficult to find a kind, normal, thorough, knowledgable doctor. My best friend (who is a nurse at a local hospital) referred me to Dr. Kearns-Stanley and I couldn't be happier. Her bedside manner is amazing. Her staff is great. Highly recommend this office all around! Ps-I'm almost to the point where I may stop referring friends here because they all love her...and tell their friends...and then I won't be able to get appointments! Dr Kearns Stanley is exactly what you hope for in a PCP - she's kind, warm and takes her time - she's been extremely patient and thoroughly answers all my crazy concerns or random questions. I thought things were good - she seems friendly albeit very short and terse, but that seems to be all doctors these days. However, she ended up misdiagnosing me twice. Luckily, a friend with experience gave me better direction than her and I ended up getting better only based on his advice. The second time, her office tried to charge me over $2000 for an emergency injection of something invented decades ago and that you can literally buy online for $8. The pharmacy was also incredulous. (And reader, take heart, because I did order it online instead!) At that point, I finally realized that something was entirely off about this office and will not be back. read more

Made my first appointment as a new patient. Filled out all my forms in advance and arrived & checked in 15 minutes early, as requested. Then I waited 40 MINUTES in the over-crowded sitting room before finally leaving without ever seeing the doctor. Will not be returning or recommending. read more

The doctor was good, but dealing with her office staff has been horrible. I've had to call 3 times to have my birth control prescription sent to the pharmacy - they kept forgetting, so I ended up at the pharmacy multiple times unable to get my birth control. Even the Pharmacist tried calling a few times, but was unable to reach anyone at the office. My annual which should have been covered by my insurance wasn't because they entered the wrong code so I had to make multiple phone calls attempting to fix that. Not sure if it's fixed yet. I just got an email saying I have new lab results in their web portal (I visited the dr 3 months ago - not sure how I have "new results"). When I clicked on the link in the email I was taken to a log in page but I was never given a username or password. I called for help and was left on hold indefinitely. Unreal... read more

Office always late and running behind. On multiple occasions have had to wait 20 minutes +.

Today I saw Dr. Kearns for an annual physical. She was a breath of fresh air compared to other doctors I have seen. She took her time and listened to me (without typing and nodding) and had an incredible bedside manner. The office was exceptionally clean and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend Dr. Kearns to anyone looking for an internist in Manhattan. read more

As many of you a chose Dr. Margaret for the great reviews she had and chose her as my primary doctor. Today was the second time I went to an appointment and the last one. She called me around the time that my appointment was schedule, spoke two to three minutes with me and then went to "look for another room" for my appointment. While waiting I also saw she was with another patient, while she was supposed to be helping me, or at least that is why appointments are for. Anyway, I waited for almost 30 minutes and she never cameback to that first room where she left me. The sad thing is that it happpened to me in the first appointment I had with her but of course I wanted to give her another chance because I thought she was having a hard and very busy day, but if that happens to you two times... well I guess that it is hard to understand. Anyway, the knly thing I was happy about was that she recommended me an excellent gastroenterologist. Hope this is helpful for someone that is looking for a good doctor but much more important a respectful one. read more

Dr. Kearns Stanley is a nice doctor, polite doctor, however, I question her ability of being a doctor. I have been her patient for a few years and 80% of the time she cannot diagnose or she diagnoses me incorrectly and thus she prescribes wrong remedies. At first I thought she knows what she is doing, but I am not sure she does anymore. She is not a strong doctor. She seems a nice person. But I need a good doctor not a nice one. Plus, there is always a long wait. read more

I couldn't bear the thought of giving any more stars because of how horrible the office support is at this office. Meryl (Merril?) was unbelievably curt and unsympathetic to a patients needs. Haven't called the office in 2 years as I rarely get sick and the one time I call the morning of (on a Monday) for an emergency, I simply get, "she's not here today." (That's fair). But then, when I asked what happens in a case of emergency and whether she comes in, Meryl replied, "No, she's just not here. She'll be in tomorrow." I knew Dr, Stanley works Monday mornings so I wanted to confirm for future appointments so I apologized and asked to confirm her normal hours where Meryl simply said "Yeah, but she's not in today." I got it, she's not in. Thanks for not helping and not accommodating to the fact that I almost fainted on someone on Monday. It turns out Dr. Stanley was out of town and returning Tuesday. At least apologize to a client for the apparent inconvenience and say she's away and will be returning the following day. There's an etiquette to office support and the office is lacking in it. Following up on the poor customer service, my virus was so severe I had to call out of work Tuesday so when I called at 9am for any availabilities that day for an emergency check-up, they were fully booked. Thanks again. The only reason I gave any stars was because of how much I appreciate Dr. Stanley as a primary care physician. She is extremely smart, thorough, and really knows how to talk to a patient. I would highly recommend meeting her but don't count on an emergency visit. read more

I was very happy with Dr. Kearns Stanley. She is very clear, has a great sense of humor, a wonderful bedside manner, and seems to be extremely knowledgeable. I'd gladly give her a five star, but I think the office staff could be stronger (they kept forgetting to get back to me with test results; it took a few tries). Today 10/28/16 I had an appointment at 12pm with my husband... so I thought. I showed up as requested 15 minutes prior, actually 20 minutes just to be safe. Opening the door I saw a waiting room full of restless people. I checked in at the front desk to a women who told me to grab two clip boards and fill out the new patient information. 10 minutes later I return with my husband and my information filled out. She tells me to take a seat. I wait 25 minutes now 12:25 and ask the front desk when to expect to be seen? Now I know it takes some time in doctor offices to ensure diligent quality service but after seeing many people showing up and many people going back I became concerned that they were over booking the patients. She replied to me that it's a doctors office and she didn't know, at which point I felt insulted not just by the look on her face to me for even asking but for the simple response from a 4.8 star doctors office on Park Ave. I than asked how many people are ahead of me, she said 1... I asked do you know how long it typically takes for a patient at which point she looked back up to me and said I said I don't know. Finally losing my patients I let her know how disgusted I was to be talked to this way. As an insured patient I demanded to see the office manager, this women told me that there was no manager with a strong attitude. I saw another doctor coming out so I asked to see the doctor and that this was an unacceptable way to talk to first time patients. He put me in a small conference room after telling my doctor what happened. I than waited another 20 minutes to see the doctor I was booked for take another patient back and look directly at me in the room and walk past. I am so appalled by this practice. It makes me so concerned for the well being of other people who may think this is a normal way to treat paying patients for a simple check up. If I could give this place less than a star I would. This front desk women is the worst receptionist I have everrrrrrrr came into contact with. I left shocked and upset -- I will never recommend this practice to anyone. read more
