Dr. Klestman and his staff were okay overall until I had to cancel him. One day we were doing a routine checkup, and I asked him about my weight, to which he responded: "Maybe you should stop eating tacos?". Although the Dr was very knowledgeable, their billing process is incredibly frustrating. They assign bloodwork as routine, instead of tied to a medical issue. As a result, I ended up with thousands in dollars of lab work for tests I had never paid for with prior doctors (no change to insurance). Their billing department is unsympathetic and impersonal. I only see Anna Fleisher here and she is the absolute best. I rarely go to the Dr's, just once a year for my annual physical and check up. Anna takes her time to chat and I can really tell she cares about my well being. I never feel rushed and enjoy talking with her - she not only cares about physical well being but also mental health. Office staff is pleasant and easy to work with. Very easy to schedule appointments and they often have same-day scheduling. Rarely have a wait when I go and they are very efficient. Office is always clean and a nice visit. I can communicate with Anna through the e-portal they have set up as well as look through my lab results and other important notifications all on the online portal, really easy set up. Anna if you're reading this I promise to eat less fried food for my cholesterol!!! read more

I have been going to Dr Kletsman for a while now. He is a very friendly and attentive doctor and has been able to help with many things. Recently I went there for my annual physical which was good. The wait times are usually good, the recent visit I had to wait a bit longer but that is unusual. They also offer last minute appointments (e.g. book a day or two before) which is good. You can also book online without having to phone up which is convenient (either on ZocDoc, or through their own website). They also offer video appointments which I have used when I was sick and didn't want to go into the office. They have on site blood draw and email you the results. The location is convenient in midtown Manhattan. I have also seen Anna Fleisher over video appointments and she is very nice and helpful too. I would definitely recommend this doctor's office if you are looking for a good primary care doctor with convenient hours and booking. read more

Found out about their offices about two years ago and trust them with regular sick visit, inquiries, and physicals. Their office doesn't look like much from the outside but it's clean and sleek on the inside. Staff at the front desk is always accommodating and friendly as well. The only reason I go to this office is to see Anna Fleisher, the NP on staff. I've never even met Dr. Kletsman and don't plan to. She is better than any physician I've ever seen. She is extremely knowledgable, caring, attentive, and thorough. She always gets to the bottom of my issues quickly and proposes a successful treatment plan. I did not even get to meet the doctor because I was stopped by two receptionists trying to convince me that my co pay is $150 when that's never been the case before! I asked "for a regular check up?" And they said" do you have any other concerns, questions?" Um, Yes, so? I should be charged $150 because I have a concern? Shouldn't I have to pay more if my concern is actually something to look into? Should I keep all questions to myself in order to pay less? I was so confused by the whole thing. I guess if you have questions for the doctor then bring out the cassshh! Anyway, i said I would go elsewhere and I did. I don't write many reviews or like doing this as I understand it can hurt businesses. That said, I don't like sitting by when I feel that professionals are trying to take advantage of me or a complicated system. I booked an appointment for some issues I was having with my calf muscles from exercise and the front desk told me to book an annual physical as this would make my visit fully covered. That made sense to me, so I did just that. I see in other reviews on Yelp, Dr. Kletsman complains that other patients do this and that chronic/acute issues are not covered. However, I did NOT suggest the annual visit as a way to get a free appointment. I booked it that way under the recommendation of the front desk/scheduling staff. I was upfront and honest that I wanted to discuss a couple of concerns I was having. The doctor spent about 15 minutes with me at most, and wrote me referrals for the issues I was experiencing and conducted the normal physical checkup. I am a healthy 39 year old so this did not involved much. That experience overall was fine, although it felt brief and I didn't feel like he was really taking the time to listen and just went straight to writing referrals. When I got a statement notification from my insurance, I was surprised to find that they submitted claims to my insurance for both the preventative visit (annual physical) AND an office visit (which was not covered and would require me to pay). When I wrote their billing department, their first response was that I can ignore the Office Visit and no payment was due but informed me that they are allowed to bill for both the visit and the annual physical. I did not look into this further, however this made me question their billing practices. While this may all be legal, I found it extremely unethical and I will not be returning to this practice. It seems to me they are trying to abuse the system and patients to bill as much as they can. read more

Discovered through ZocDoc. Had early morning availability and upon arriving was seen within 10 mins. Came for an annual physical and he was thorough with his examination and I didn't feel rushed. Blood work came back fairly quick and was available via their online system, which is convenient but not as user friendly as some others I've seen (NYU Portal for example). Billed my preventive visit appropriately so my insurance covered it appropriately (can't believe I have to mention this, but other places have dropped the ball on this). read more

It's unfortunate to give a Dr Kletsman this low star review as 95% of the experience I had is not directly his cause. But it came from his medical office and staff under his practice. I got medical bills due to a condition which I did not have. I'm a pretty healthy person, never had any health complications in my life and nothing to worry about regarding health (very thankful for that). I first went to Igor Kletsman to do an annual physical beginning of 2017, found him on ZocDoc and it was under my insurance, and that went completely normal. A year later to April/18 I went again for annual physical (new year, new check-up) and this is where my episode starts. Scheduled for the 1st appointment of the day so that I could go straight to work right after. No problem with that. Once I arrive at the office, Dr Kletsman was away for vacation and I would be checked by a nurse practitioner. Absolutely ok, as I would've imagined. No problem with pre-checkup and checkup. Time for blood test. I've had in the past fainted after getting blood tested, so whenever I go get my blood drawn, I make sure to let the nurses know beforehand. Sitting down during the test is a no-no, so she angled the chair and she draws my blood. After that, I get a familiar dizzyness and I tell the nurse that I'll just stay sitting right there to be safe. Next thing I know, I am being held by two nurses and the nurse practitioner because I have just fainted. I 'wake up' catching my breath, I am partially crying out of reaction. The three ladies are staring at me in shock, and nurse practitioner immediately checks to see if I remember where I was, what was her name, which I remember clearly. At this point, I am half crying half laughing for some reason, as I am just coming back to my senses and am aware of what just happened. However, the nurse practitioner tells me that the 'accident' occurred was a seizure as I was passed out shaking for less than a minute, and that she would highly recommend me going to the hospital with an ambulance to check if it isn't anything psychological. I never had a seizure before; I just wake up from what I thought it was a normal faint and she tells me I had a seizure. Now I'm in shock, and I tell her "well, you're the professional here, I will follow what you are telling me." Seems like that was the mistake. I went to the ER by ambulance, to which I normally walk into after resting for a good 20 minutes after "seizure." Did a couple of tests such as heartbeat rate, sugar in blood rate - nothing that seemed serious or brain-related -, and doctor at hospital says that I am completely fine, that it was just a vasovagal syncopy (when people faint after having a sudden scare). I walk out happy to know that it was not in any emergency health condition, and head home to rest. Next day I send results to the nurse practitioner as she asked, she called to briefly check on how I was, and everything seems fine. Yay- but what about my seizure, though? From what I know, seizures are serious. I never had one before (or thought I never did). I would like to know what measures should I take and how should I advise fiance/family/friends/work in a precautionary manner. So I reach back to the nurse practitioner at the MD office by email and don't get an answer. Reach out again a week later, and nothing. And I do my research. Looking at the hospital results, there is absolutely anywhere in the visit summary stating that I went there due to a seizure. Wait.. why did I go to the hospital by ambulance again? Because I had a "seizure" and went to check if it was something brain-related. I reach out a third time to the MD office, wanting to learn more from the nurse practitioner herself about what exactly occurred during the episode as I wasn't consciously there, and I get a response from Dr Kletsman. He's back from vacation, and I'm more than welcome to set up a follow-up visit with him. He spoke about the episode with the nurse practitioner and read the visit summary, and he is almost sure I didn't have a seizure. Oh, and she is not working at the office anymore. Hmm well, that sounds extra fishy. Especially now that I have bills due to ER services and ambulance ride summing up to more than $2k, already with discounts from my insurance. For a seizure that I actually did not have, for which also seems like it wasn't the reason for why I was sent to the ER in the 1st place. I feel straight duped. Blatantly mishandled by someone who was supposed to be a professional. What if I actually had something serious? Now I understand why people avoid checking on their basic health needs by any means to not get hit by medical charges. I end up doing a follow up with Kletsman which he confirms that I am fine, and apologizes for the ex-nurse practitioner's wrong call. Well, apologies are not paying for the $2k+ bills, and I'm not returning to this office. Because of this visit, I know I will be reluctant to do anything health related in the US. read more

She has been super thorough with me, going over my medical history and taking the time to really listen. Edit: as you can see this is one incredibly unprofessional doctor. I asked for an extension to give me time to come to office but still give me my medication and they front desk girls REFUSED. This doctor is horrendous. This office is horrendous. And I have already began filing the appropriate complaints with DOH. Stay away. --- this is a business not a medical office. I came to this doctor with something that I've had for the last 17 years. I recently moved to the city and needed a new prescribing physician. Literally - my dose hasn't changed in over 10 years. This doctor refused to fill my script I've been taking every day for 17 years because I had not seen him in 6 months. He just wanted to talk? Yeah right. He wanted money. I begged the doctors and the girls at the front office for my meds before the weekend and I would come in the next week. I'm so busy I simply had no time. Like take my money at this point I will come but I'm out of meds. And they refused. And they were so rude. Even the doctor called back and yelled at me. I am outraged. I will report this behavior to every medical board he is a part of. Avoid this doctor and this office like the plague. Trust. read more

This review is about the front desk and customer service. 1) They messed up my appointment. Good thing I followed up to confirm my schedule through email after the call. 2) They lack of coordination. 2 different ladies called within 20 minutes before my appointment to confirm whether I was going to come in. 3) Their attitude was bad. e.g., 3a) "Who did you call to make an appointment?" - Does it matter? And do people typically remember who pick up their calls (if name is even disclosed)? 3b) "There's a reason why they (people who made my appointment) are no longer here" - If you knew there's an issue with your ex-employees, why did you ask me who they were? 3c) "Do you have your health record" - If you look at my profile, you would find it, which is what I asked them to do. 3d) The front desk lady asked me to pay in the middle of my conversation with the doctor. I questioned the order of operation, since typically I visit a doctor / dentist, then the front desk calculates the charge, and I pay. She just said "nevermind, I will just charge it to your insurance" and stormed out of the office. 3e) Doctor said to obtain her contact at front desk after the session. I asked the front desk, the lady asked back "what contact?" Another doctor who was at the front desk knew what I was asking for, and handed me a business card. (i.e., I don't think my communication was unclear for the front desk lady to react like I was not speaking clearly.) 4) Sketchy charge. Per email prior to my visit, "please keep in mind your insurance has deductible, so $150 charge will be applied because you're a new patient. Your insurance doesn't really work until you meet/pay your deductible." After the visit they sent me the bill. They charged insurance $373, and I had to pay $215 after insurance. That's $65 more than what's quoted. The reason they gave was "the discount in the amount of $150 was offered to you prior to the appointment. If this amount is not paid prior to the appointment we charge the full amount as per insurance reimbursement rates." $150 was never mentioned as a discounted amount anywhere in our communications. Nor did anyone disclose that I had to pay BEFORE appointment to get the "discount". I ended up paying the agreed $150 after quoting email communications. Bottom line is, if you have to visit this office, make sure to communicate everything through emails. read more

He's great. You'd be mad not to go see him. This guy is everything you want in a doctor. I wouldn't be surprised if he did house calls. He's what all New Yorkers would call a true MENSCH. He's young. I saw the NP Anna Fleisher here when I had been feeling miserable for 2 weeks and my PCP couldn't fit me in. She was able to get me into the same day. I would highly recommend her!! She figured out right away what the issue was, and made sure to fully explain it to me and answer every question I had. Made an appointment with Dr. Kletsman, came on time and end up waiting for 45 min just to see a different doctor because Dr. Kletsman was too busy - then why do they make appointments? The other doctor came in, didn't introduce herself, didn't even check my history or ask anything- automatically just prescribed medication. read more

Pretty horrifying experience at this doctor. I've been going to this doctor for nearly five years now and recently saw him during pandemic. I had an office visit and then two follow-up visits via televisit. However, they charged me nearly the full price of the office visits for the televisits even though the televisits lasted a few minutes at most to give me the results of tests. I complained several times but didn't hear a response until I threatened to leave a negative review. All of a sudden, they offered to give me a refund on my portion of the office visits (the majority was covered by insurance). And after I received the refund, they sent messages to ZocDoc lying about my not showing up for all office visits (literally ten visits they reported I didn't show up for) and getting me suspended from ZocDoc. I had to call ZocDoc and explain what happened before they reversed the suspension and began an investigation into the doctor. I am now in the process of filing a complaint with NYC DFS over this doctor's practices. Strongly urge people to stay away from this doctor. read more

I really like Dr. Kletsman - he's very attentive and patient - and listens to what my problems are. Also - I have never been late to the appointments I've booked with him. I've been provided both a print out paper, email, and also Portal results of the lab tests I had done through him. Other doctors are starting to use Portals / apps too - I think it's just a result of more secure healthcare. And you can get all of the login information through your phone by typing in your information - it's super convenient! And you can show results to other doctors. I had to reach him out of office once and he responded promptly via email. Definitely will keep going - plus the hours options are great for people who work late! read more

Do. Not. Go! I saw NP Anna Fleisher. When I made the appointment looking for someone on Fidelis for a physical, I was not even told that it was with an NP, not a Dr. I have had some good experiences with NPs, so I gave it a try as I was limited by new insurance. I was barely examined, not asked what I am taking, was told they can't prescribe any controlled substance which I should know from their "website." This was far from a check up and I have since made an appointment to repeat it and will pay. When asked what blood tests I wanted I gave what was done last year. We added on some tests that the nurse forgot to enter into the computer so those were never done. I asked her to send in a good nurse to draw the blood and I was told "they are are all good." After 3 nurses tried and failed to draw my blood, I decided it best to go elsewhere, and the nurse in Quest had no problem. I logged in to their site to see my results where I discovered that she forgot to order a test. I also had 3 emails signed "lab tech" on 3 different days with 3 different interpretations of my results. This was my worst medical experience with a PCP and I will be looking for another. So much so that it prompted me to write my first negative yelp review, but people should be warned about this place. read more

DO NOT GO TO SEE HIH. His only response to every question was "Go to the ER" even when I was just trying to my prescription (and it was just about the common side effect). It was also difficult to understand with his strong accent. He also refused to provide explanation in writing. After I left the comment this on Zocdoc, he harassed me on the patient portal saying it was my fault. He didn't even refer any doctors, and his response was find a surgeon on Zocdoc. Seriously!? If you're looking for a quack of a doctor who mumbles so you can't understand him, he's the way to go! He only gives test results through a portal which you have to call to get login information. He also gives test results that require treatment via the portal and then is not reachable by phone. He informed me that I need an antibiotic and I cannot get in touch with him to call it into the pharmacy. read more

All the staff was very nice and welcoming. I did not even have to sit down to wait, I checked right in, went to vitals, saw Dr. Igor, did some labs and was done. It was simple, quick, and Dr. Igor listened to all my concerns. My appt was for 1pm I got there a few mins early and was out the door at 1:30ish.  I did a seasonal allergy test on site which took 15 mins, got a detailed list of things I'm allergic to. So overall the appt itself took about 15 mins including vitals take, but I did not feel rushed, and the allergy test results were the other 15 mins. The office was very clean, bathroom was clean, just the vanity looked a bit unsecure, but nothing that would stop me from coming back. The commute was convenient, about a 6 min walk from Grand Central. The entrance to building is not very apparent at first, I walked passed it a first, but then again I do not do much business in NYC.  Overall very pleased! Would recommend for PCP. Also I did book my appt through zoc doc so I had all my forms prefilled. And I was emailed to sign up for the portal to get any lab results. I signed up, it was very simple. read more
