My husband and I visited Bobby Mac's on a Sunday and found the staff to be a bit frantic, as it was Palm Sunday and we later learned that they were short-staffed. Our attentive server was rushing around and handling multiple tables at both ends of the restaurant, yet kept our glasses full and checked back on us multiple times. We ordered a special, the hush puppies, and we found them delicious. My husband ordered the grilled chicken wrap while I had the fish and chips. Both were great, though it was clear that my fish was not caught fresh. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is not what I would expect from the same ownership of multiple other restaurants in the Macomb County area. Outdated decor hangs on the walls and the restrooms reminded me of a middle school bathroom. I think that Bobby Mac's is in need of a decor update and thorough cleaning, but also can see how it may add to the charm of the restaurant. I suspect that the regular clientele is made up of regular locals and people coming in from boating on the lake. Both groups may enjoy the "character" of the outdated decor. Overall, while not the most impressive restaurant I've visited, I certainly enjoyed my food and would recommend to at least give Bobby Mac's a try.

However once inside it was clean and the service was prompt and friendly! It had that Cheers vibe where the locals included you in the conversation. I also learned the dock is available for boat parking for guests as well. It was a great experience. I only gave four stars as the building needs upkeep, the kegs were down because the coolers were broken. The bartender had buckets of ice to keep the bottled beer cold (mine was very cold!) but I will say the bathroom was as clean as the rest of the bar. If you like a good dive bar with good food I definitely recommend this one!

I just don't know what to do the service is pretty good but I keep getting sub par meals. The quarter pounders were touted when released as being freshly cooked to order and they were great. Somewhere along the line freshly cooked was replaced with precooked and reheated. The original was dripping with juices now here they are squeezed to the extent that the burger is oversized and it has cracks you can see through. Not much juice. I opened up the box recently and the burger wasn't even on the bun, mostly on the box. Unless you specifically ask for new fries not just Hot fries you probably won't get hot fries here. What is the problem here.
