RUN!!! New Directions Counseling, LLC, in Chehalis, WA, is not helpful to those who are trying to…read morerecover from substance use. They are unprofessional and show limited care to their clients. The owner, Scott Dickinson, claims to be a Christian, but he does not walk the talk. He is abrasive, harsh, and unethical. The way they run IOP groups is so boring, and the curriculum looks like a 3rd grader wrote it. They believe the worst about the clients and all gossip with one another about people in the community. The office is in an old house, and the doors have large gaps underneath. With the hardwood floors, nothing is confidential. HIPAA is totally being violated! Do not support this organization. They hire trainees and pay them crap so they suck and the door is constantly revolving with new employees. They also have an office in Shelton. I would not go there either as Scott Dickinson, the horrible owner and supposed "Christian," owns that location as well.

Okay this is gonna be lengthy…read more I have to go here to continue to receive my medications. I got a new job and didn't think I would be able to qualify for Apple Amerigroup insurance anymore, so I canceled service as I thought I would end up having to transfer somewhere that takes Kaiser Permenente. Turns out due to the pandemic, Apple is keeping people regardless of their income, so I figured I'd let Cascade know I could go ahead and continue to use their service after all. Now, mind you, they still have records of everything I discussed with the counselor I was seeing and my perscriber there. So what do they want me to do? Take the whole damn mental health intake all over again, so I can sit and discuss stuff they already know with them for between one and two hours... They said it is because it has been so long since I had an intake there that I'd have to retake one. Now how does that make sense? I decided to continue to use their services like 2 weeks after I originally canceled, so wouldn't it makes sense for them to require people to reapply with an intake if they request services again like several months after canceling since they still already have all their records, and not base it upon how long its been since you initially had one? Not only does that waste my time, but it wastes their staff's as well because it is pointless to discuss information they already blatantly have. They're lucky I have Mondays off or I wouldn't be able to do it, because they seem to think their business contains the only people in the world who hold jobs and you're schedule is just supposed to cater to them apparently. Ironically though, I've been going there for a number of years and they can't seem to keep any counselors they have there. I've had a handful of them. If you see someone there, you can plan on doing so for anywhere from like 4 months to a year if you're lucky (lucky being if you like who you're seeing). The only one I really ever clicked with left after about a year and I was shattered. 9 times outta 10 they don't let you know til the last minute, or you'll just go to your appointment to learn that the person you were seeing no longer works there and have to reschedule something with someone else there. Its not a real great business. The only reason I'm going back and agreeing to take a COMPLETELY unnecessary mental health intake is due to the fact it would be a lot easier to just stick with the place to continue to see my prescriber.

I've never been to this place but my son has. I never would go because they seem too incompetent to…read morebill correctly and I'm afraid it would be the same for their medical care. They keep sending us bills for our adult son despite numerous calls to them to make it stop. They're not even Billing the right person, they're billing my wife. Billing the right person doesn't seem like too much to ask for.
