Imaging", she prescribed a "Neck Epidural". It sounds painful, but I didn't feel a thing, thanks to Dr.Martinez's Epidural and the EXTREMELY capable Anesthesiologist and Staff. The best part is that I haven't had ANY migraines since that Epidural, last month:):)! The ENTIRE Staff at the "Advanced Pain Medical Group" is wayyyyy above par --- they are all consumate professionals, who are also empathetic and supportive!! I had a small…read moreprocedure done and was told everything was covered by insurance except for the $100 facility fee, and now I'm being harassed for the second year in a row for different charges. The first year after being told it would be written off and it wasn't, I actually paid so I wouldn't be harassed anymore and was assured there were no more charges. Now once again, I'm being billed for something separate. Save yourself the frustration and find a different provider.

My orthopedist referred me to this office. I am the first to admit, I am picky. But I thought Dr. Johnson would be perfect. I had a consultation and felt so comfortable, I immediately set up an appointment for a genicular nerve block procedure. The appointment was set for 3 weeks out. I inquired about insurance coverage before I left and I was told I was totally covered and that the procedure was at the West Hills Surgery Center. I followed up each week to make sure that everything was in order and each time (at least 3) I was told I am all set. Then, on the Thursday prior to the procedure I get a call stating that my insurance does not cover the surgery center, which is not at West Hills Surgery Center, but in Dr. Johnson's regular office. Additionally, there is a seperate Anesthesia charge. After stating that I had called several times and going back and forth with multiple phone calls, they finally said if I would see a different doctor (in their practice), he could do the procedure at a clinic that is covered by my insurance, but he only goes the once a month and I would not meet him the day of the procedure. Why wasn't I told this 3 weeks prior? The doctor who referred me told me they do not "up charge" but they obviously do! I asked if the doctor or office manager would call me to discuss the very poor office conmmunication, noone ever called. Now after reading other reviews here and online I see I am not the only one who experienced this situation. It's a shame because if they had told me up front that the surgery center was out of network, I probably would have gone ahead since I liked the doctor, but after feeling like a bait and switch situation, I felt that I could not trust the business.

More than likely you're not searching for a anesthesiologist…read morebecause when you go in for a procedure they just put some random like raffi that comes to you at your bedside before your procedure and makes you sign documents while you have anxiety about your medical procedure. So you don't really have a choice to bust out your phone to call your insurance company and make sure they are in or out of network so you just sign the damn paper and then get a bill afterwards. They don't care if you've already paid a fat deductible on top of your fat monthly premium so then even when he sends you a $78 bill. It's a little difficult to pay that. I called his office and basically after explaining myself to Renee she told me then maybe next time I shouldn't do a procedure with anesthesia. I just don't care what field you're in or what... you just don't get lippy with clients. Sorry? Take my CC information and run my card and have the entire office including your dr take a course on bedside manners.

I was in a great deal of pain and extremely anxious because what the doctors were calling a "sprain", wasn't behaving or healing like a sprain. Michael reassured me that even though we didn't have all the answers, treatment would focus on pain relief and restoring my strength and mobility. I'm happy to say, that's exactly what we accomplished. When I started working with Michael and Daniel, I was on crutches and my left leg was non-weight bearing. Over the next couple weeks I progressed to using a cane and by 4 weeks, I was walking completely unassisted. The personalized care Michael and Daniel provide is excellent. I can't thank them enough for giving me my life back!

I went to see Dr. Fadley for a cortisone injection to treat sciatic pain. While I was waiting in the exam room, I could clearly hear him yelling loudly at another patient. I have never witnessed anything like this from a doctor before. It made me feel very uneasy, especially knowing that he was about to give me an injection in my back. I chose to wear a mask in the office as a personal health choice. As I lay down to receive the shot, Dr. Fadley kept talking, appeared distracted, and misjudged the injection site. This caused blood to begin coming out of my back. I panicked and asked if everything was alright. His response was to scream at me again, telling me to turn around, face forward, and be quiet. After the procedure, he asked why I was wearing a mask. I told him it was to avoid getting sick. His reply was, "So you're one of those who actually believes in all that stuff." I am still not completely sure what he meant by that, but it was clear to me that he was being disrespectful and unprofessional. I am writing this to warn others. No one should have to go through what I experienced. Please think twice before trusting this man with your health.

Few minutes later I get a email from them saying that ( Thank you for your request for an appointment with California Spine & Pain Institute. We will contact you shortly to schedule a time for your appointment. Please call our office at 818-225-0045 if you have any questions.) Two days passed on Friday I called them back this time they answered the phone so I told this person I forgot his name that i been waiting for them to call me for an appointment for past two days , he put me on hold for few minutes and came back and said ya I found you, and gave me a date couple of weeks later, when I asked him why I didn't get a call back In passed a couple of days, he answered me with an attitude that do you wanted the appointment or not!! WOW I said no thank you and hang it up the phone. If the first person that I deal with in this Medical office has a serious issue dealing with patients then I don't think I need to deal with rest of them.

From prepping & education by staff the weeks leading up to surgery day, to then the check in, surgery, recovery and release, every step of the way, and every person I encountered was incredible. So kind and understanding, they really made me feel heard and cared for. The facility was clean, and the staff was so kind. My surgeon Dr. NADEL knew what he was doing and delivered on the promise of an excellent procedure. Easily was able to get ahold of staff after surgery through the portal and all questions were answered at ang time. Everyone helped me feel comfortable and safe before AND after surgery. I am so grateful to everyone at West Hills Surgery Center, and Dr. Nadel, for making me whole again, and feel at ease during the process. Thank you all
