On the other hand, the receptionists are not as polite and friendly which has put a negative taste in my mouth on a multitude of occasions. My husband and I showed up for an appointment 30 minutes early due to my pregnancy brain reading 12:00 and not 12:30 in which I mentioned in passing I thought my slip read 12:00 before we sat to wait (mind you this is literally not a big deal at all) and the woman at the front desk took it upon herself to dig my slip up from my last appointment after about 5 minutes of us seated and patiently waiting, she called me up and passive aggressively told me that she knew she wrote the right time last visit and that I definitely got it wrong. Completely unprofessional and made for an uncalled for awkward interaction for me in a place that should be doing the utmost to make each woman feel safe and seen.

The office staff is great; always answers the phone, never puts you on hold for endless amounts of time (like other offices), are prompt, and just really sweet. There also isn't a long wait to get an appointment; the first time I called to see him, they scheduled my appointment for three days later. I've never waited over five minutes past my appointment time and I've never just been left sitting in a patient room waiting for the doctor for more than five minutes either. Dr. Gennaoui is a genuinely caring person; he's always open to any questions you may have, takes his time, and keeps you informed. Anytime I've had him paged after hours, he has called back within ten-fifteen minutes, which is great, especially for a first-time mom! I work for Oakwood and all of my co-workers that know him/are his patients love him too. I highly recommend him to all of my friends...and to you!

When I was 38 weeks I told him I didn't feel right and I was super swollen and fatigued among other things and he just discedited me and told me it was "normal" pregnancy things... Well his negligence caused my baby girl to be still born a week later... He didn't even make it to deliver her, said I "went too fast". What?! I was in labor for 8 hours... I just think he didn't care to come deliver a baby that had passed in the womb at midnight like because she was gone she didn't need any effort from him. Oh and I ended up hemorrhaging and getting a fever of 102.9 right after delivery so I was put on antibiotics and admitted for 3 days... Guy finally shows his face 9 hours later only to glance at my angel and tell me not to forget to bind my breasts and schedule a 6 week check up... Uhm heck not! He has zero compassion. I never went back to him and instead went back to my OB I had with my first which I should have just went to in the first place and I beat myself up every day wishing I would have just not cared about the distance and went to him because he would have been there that night and checked on me every day until I was released and he would have told me he was at least sorry for my loss and asked me how I was etc... He is actually a compassionate doctor. NOT ELIAS GENNAOUI.

This review is not about the quality of medical care but about the facility…read more At our first visit the receptionist made a snap judgment about our reimbursement card that was wrong, and I had to fight to get her to try it several times. It turns out it had a different issue that we had to settle later, but the receptionist's assumption was incorrect. At our second visit I asked the other people in the waiting room if they minded if we turned the TV off and they said they didn't mind, but the receptionist still refused to turn it off. She spoke quite rudely, too. And then she argued with my husband and tried to tell him that he didn't need the detailed receipt he knew he needed for healthcare reimbursement. Overall, given that drivers and caregivers have to wait for approximately two hours, and are not allowed to leave, and given the amount we are being charged, a coffeemaker in the waiting room seems like a very minimal convenience to expect and yet there is not one. A quiet option for those of us who prefer that would be an added bonus.

(Obviously this review is for other ladies. Men, go away)…read more I have been going to this office since I was about 16 years old, seeing the same OB/GYN the whole time (Dr. Hrzencik). Obviously in the past it was for normal female wellness appointments, to get birth control, etc. She is very kind, understanding and knowledgeable. I opted to get an IUD about 6 years ago instead of continuing birth control pills (I never can remember to take those things, lol). And while I was warned it would hurt like no pain I had ever felt, I was totally unprepared for the firey hot poked that my cervix dilating feels like. An MA had to come in just to hold my hand. Recently, my husband and I have been seeing her for OB appointments (yay!), but we have had to go through the less than thrilling process of having a miscarriage in the beginning of the second trimester. It is not a fun process by any means, but Dr. H and her staff have made me feel welcome to call with any questions or concerns, and have been calling to double check on me, because it really is a crappy situation. They were very kind and thoughtful when they had to tell us, and have made sure to give us all the information they can about our situation. I know they're have our best interests at heart and are not happy when they have to deliver news like that. tl;dr Dr. H is wonderful and very kind, even when she has to give you bad news.
