Established by Michel Medawar then the 3rd generation was put into the hands of Robert Medawar. I ventured in on this occasion- the morning of 05/28/25 to replace a battery in a watch along with cleaning 2 rings. They were a bit busy when I went in- but always reminding me- they'll get to me ASAP. Quite a few patrons were either cleaning/purchasing items of jewelry. I was able to get my rings cleaned while waiting- I just had to leave my watch (since it needs to be opened/sealed accordingly)- which I was well aware of and didn't mind- gave me a chance to get lunch. By the way I received a call from Sheryl that my watch was ready- I was finished with lunch and on the way there since I figured it might be done- Robert said he'd get right on it. This fits accordingly to how they treat any/all customers- when integrity is earned life long relationships are made. And I won't get into Robert's countless accolades for his volunteerism in the local communities. So Yes- in my opinion this fine jewelry store- wholeheartedly deserves this "5 Star Rating". I was actually on my way to the ER when I happened to discover this place. I arrived just 5 minutes before closing, and they had already packed everything up and were ready to leave for the weekend. I brought my wedding band in for a repair after one diamond fell out (which I was fortunate enough…read moreto find). I was quoted a little over $200 for the diamond replacement and a very minor resize of ¼ size down. When I went to pick up the ring, I was informed--after the work was already completed--that additional prongs had been replaced on both sides of the ring and that I now owed an extra $240. I was never contacted, informed, or asked for approval before this additional work was done. The explanation given was that some of the prong work was necessary due to resizing. However, after waiting over 40 minutes at pickup because the ring was "in billing," I was then told the resize had actually been forgotten entirely and had to be done on the spot. This made the justification for the unapproved prong work even more concerning. After calling twice and initially being brushed off by sales associates, I finally spoke with the owner, who acknowledged that I had not consented to the extra work and agreed to waive the additional charge. While I appreciate the owner ultimately correcting the billing, the situation itself should never have occurred. Jewelry--especially a wedding band--is deeply personal. Any additional work, design changes, or charges should never be performed without explicit customer approval. Between the unapproved services, forgotten resize, and billing delay, the experience felt disorganized and stressful. I would urge future customers to proceed with caution, insist on written estimates, and require approval before any additional work is done.

I walked in to Rons Jewelers on 980 Western Ave to discuss my idea of the custom ring I wanted before we left for our anniversary vacation. Ashley looked at the picture of the ring I had been looking at and said yeah we can do that. Then I said can you do it on my very short timeline? Again Ashley said yes we can do that! I went home right away to get my wife's other rings because I needed to get the right size. I got back in about half and hour and we sat down looked at the setting I wanted and they got everything started. Two days later they had stones for me to pick from with excellent expert advice from both on the choice of the stones for what I was looking for.
