Pros. They allow children. Cons. They allow children. As those things cancel out yet are the only benefits and detriments I can think of, this place remains... Or would have remained just average.
I had a good time because I brought stimulating company with me, but the food, basic and wholesome though it was, was on the cold side.
The children did put me off, but I did overhear a conversation about a woman whose parents kept her in a cupboard or something while they went drinking. Swings and roundabouts.
If you keep nicely half cut you can view the place as a sort of low brow entertainment.
There was no option to eat horse and the drinks selection was more limited and expensive than you would think.
The barman several times looked us in the eye, and even when asked a question would just wander off without answer or service. I'm quite sure he was less deaf and more belligerent. Or perhaps shared my option about the innate futility of this place.
All in all I would suggest that of it weren't close and convenient at any given time, you should avoid. You only get so many meals in your lifetime. read more
