The location used to be the host of the local KFC, and the inner decor hasn't changed too much....neither has the service. Fast is the word and before you have finished flicking through your first Womens Day from 2003 your order is sitting on the counter waiting for you. Michelle M is pretty close to the mark though, there are some dodgey items of the menu, but you can find some steady gems! The satay noodles are pretty darn good, but the Tom Yum Soup is the Bomb! I would avoid spilling it on your lap when driving home though......that sucker is hella hot! Oh, and in case you were wondering, I still play games until the sun comes up, I just don't get paid anymore and I don't live with my parents!

I feel some of their competitors are afraid to really put much flavour in their dishes to keep the widest market appeal, whereas Red Rock Express stay much closer to the full restaurant offerings of their larger stores. I'm also pleased to see these guys don't scrimp on the ingredients - in a time where many places offer a 'double meat' option which you pretty much have to add on to get a satisfying meal, the servings here are generous and you feel like you get good value for money. There's off street parking out the back - turn to the left just after the Portrush road lights. You'll need to do the block to get there from the East, you can't cross Lower North East Road at the shop.

A new cafe in an old corner grocery store has breathed life back into a sad little shop…read more We went there for a Friday morning coffee (opens at 830) and 3 hours later we were still there after our 2nd cups/pots of tea that pour seemingly endless cups (ok..maybe 3). It's advertised as a cooking school, cafe and "stuff" venue, and is starting slowly with openings just Mon - Friday until 4pm, but they have events coming up, and have various cooking opportunites, including classes for kids - so keep up to date on https://www.facebook.com/FiveLittleFigs. The breakfasts that were served looked generous and delicious, and they have gluten, wheat and vegan food on offer and it looks fresh and sumptuous...next time! They cater to children, so if you're worried about young people playing (and crying) - don't come! I see this as a refuge for parents who want to meet their friends while their kids can draw on the chalk board or have something to eat at their own table. Support a new local, or pop out of your way for a quirky, delicious cafe.

We asked for a menu and sat down and noticed the menu was pretty much a standard breakfast menu minus the healthier or more foodie special options befitting a gourmet cooking school. So I went up to order and after we ordered I noticed there was a specials board (which you wouldn't necessarily expect to see for breakfast) which was hidden from view from the dining area. Luckily it had one green Juice and two healthier more interesting breakfast options so we changed our order. It's surprising they didn't direct us to the menu board when we were given the menu. The green juice was excellent, and so was the mushrooms on toast. The creamed oats were not too creamy, just right. The coffee was terrible, the worst I have seen for a while. A 'flat white' is normally not literally white! The 'crema' on the top was white with not a tinge of brown and it tasted over milky as well.

One of my local home away from homes. Yes is a small Asian Market, but it has a number of products…read morein stock that I haven't seen at any other Asian Markets in Adelaide. The selection of noodles is good (as it is with all Asian Grocers), but where this place really stands out is the sweets/snacks and the frozen dumplings. again, not a massive selection, but some of the highest quality goods I have purchased. Often a problem with 'getting adventurous' in an Asian Supermarket, you just never know if a product is going to deliver.....pretty packaging doesn't mean great food! But I have just got gold after gold at YES. It might be that I am just really lucky (insanely good looking people like myself often are), but I think it is more a case of the owners being very selective as to what they have in stock! The Gyouza are wicked by the way!

The range is vast and the quality is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a terrific selection of herbs and spices from India, Thailand, China, Korea and Japan as well as sauces, rices, teas, snacks, sweets, and more. I bought several items on this occaision, but hands down, the best buy of the day was the six-pack of pumpkin buns with red bean paste centers. Baked in the oven for 20 minutes and they were DELICIOUS. I'll be returning for those for sure! Overall, this is a great alternative to Woollies, particularly if you're looking for more variety in your herbs, spices, oils and sauces than what the big box store has. Prices are very reasonable, and the place is stocked to the brim with goods, is light, clean and well presented. You won't be disappointed.
